Wonderful! I bought these for a week of hiking in some national parks. Didn't leave myself time to break them in beforehand, but fortunately they were great right out the box. Day 1 we hiked for hours and I never got blisters; the support was very good and they're nicely cushioned. I wear an 8 in casual shoes but went with an 8 1/2 for these.

These Merrell provided comfort for long days of city walking as well as a stylish appearance. I am happy with my purchase!

Super cute, super comfy. I ordered a size 9 (my normal size) and my big toe was up to the front of the shoe. I'll be sending back and trying a 9.5.

I was looking for a decent hiking shoe and I certainly got it! I tried these on and immediately loved them. They are so comfortable and barely need to be broken in. I walked the dog in them just to make sure I'd be ready for a hike and they exceeded my expectations. They have great ground grip, they don't pinch anywhere, and they fit well. I can't wait to hit the trails in them! I always heard Merrells were great shoes and I'm so glad I listened. And for the price, you can't beat it! Great shoe. I highly recommend!

With high arches and duck-like feet (wide in the front, narrow in the back), I often have a hard time with shoes. Merrells are the most comfortable sneakers for my feet and are well worth the price. I've tried a few different styles since I first started wearing Merrells and this pair is among the best. I also like that they're not flashy and come in more muted colors. As always, Zappos' customer service and fast delivery are top notch.

These are my favorites. (This is my second pair.) I can hike in them when they're brand new with no problems. They're very comfortable. If you have a wide foot, you will like the fit. They're durable, too. My last pair lasted well over a year, and I hike an average of twice/week.

I am very pleased with this hiking shoe in general. I added some lite support and would have it a half size larger but I'm not complaining!

I have a wide toe box (D/E), narrow heel, and high arches. I like Keen boots, but wasn't finding the right low hiking/athletic shoe from their selection. This Merrell shoe was exactly what I wanted, plus it's lighter and less clunky than what I was thinking I'd end up with. It's so comfortable on the inside! The arch isn't quite as high as I need, but the insole is removable so I can get a custom one if I want. I'm usually an 8 or 8.5 and went with 8.5 on this one. There's enough room to wear cushioned athletic socks, and I think someone with a wider toe box (maybe EE) would still find these wide enough.

Learn from my fail: don't try to hike in running shoes, do yourself a favor and get yourself a pair of shoes designed for hiking. These hiking shoes are light, sturdy on the bottom, and comfortable right out of the box. I unpacked them on Saturday and hiked seven miles up Mount Diablo in these shoes on Sunday. Thank you again, Merrell, for giving my feet their comfy.

Awesome shoes! I just started doing a lot of walking and the gymies I was wearing were not working for me! Know the reputation of Merrells, read the reviews and jumped at the chance to buy a pair. I wear them 5 days a week and walk about 4 miles a day in them - a dream to wear! Highly recommend!

I ordered these shoes to wear in the rough conditions of the desert in the Middle East. They fit great right out of the box and required no break in. They are actually super comfortable! The color is perfect for desert wear and they allow my feet to breathe. They also seem very durable and have great arch support.

Decent shoe for a newbie hiker who is deathly afraid of slipping, especially while going downhill. This shoe has greatly reduced the slippage with its treaded rubber sole. I definitely feel more comfortable running on gravel/rocky paths that slope with these shoes. Very pleased with this purchase.

Love these shoes! Beyond comfortable, perfect fit. Very sturdy. Great for hiking and working around the house. They are a bit wider in the toes.

I ordered these shoes late on Wednesday, and they arrived before noon the next day. I LOVE Zappos service! I was looking for a shoe suitable for walking/running that was darker in color due to getting dirty in sand/trails, without being really dark. Plus, I wanted black and brown combined so they'd match different things. These look great and are the perfect combination of color, without looking gaudy. I got the taupe. The photo is pretty true to color. I ordered 1/2 size up, and I think I could have gone either way. However, these fit great with a little extra toe space for a heavier sock. Absolute comfort immediately. I noticed nothing rubbing, etc., and I have very sensitive feet. I can tell within ten feet usually. I haven't worn them off the trial on the carpet, but I think with good socks they will be perfect. They don't seem as heavy or clunky as most athletic shoes. The laces are not white, which I really like. They are kind of a black and white pattern, but it is small and blends well. The tread is solid and gripped exceptionally well on the tile. I tried them there, too. NO slippage whatsoever. I would not consider this a great arch support, but I wear orthotics, so it does\'t matter in my case. If you really need that, I'd look around. Overall, I would highly recommend this product and ZAPPOS. I've never been disappointed.
