I bought these hiking shoes to replace an old pair of Merrells. I typically take a size 7, but found them to be large, so returned them for a 6 1/2, which fit perfectly. These were comfortable the first time I wore them, and are perfect for short trail hikes. Highly recommend.

I love these shoes. I've had issues with Merrell fitting my feet in the past but these are perfect. The hold the heal well and are wide enough in the toes.I'm on my feet all day everyday and these take the beating like a champ!

After purchasing 5 different pairs of hiking shoes and returning all of them, this pair finally fits my feet. I wear a 7 to a 7.5 in a sandal and went with a size 9 in this shoe. I love the fact that there are 13 holes/loops through which the laces go, so the shoes can really be fastened well to your feet. The toe box is finally wide enough for my feet. I ordered the Aluminum/Marlin color, which I thought would be more purple/periwinkle, but it is definitely a blue. I will be wearing them with my orthotics.

These shoes have great support and cushion, and well made. I wear the quite a lot. On my feet quite a bit. These are definitely worth it!

Dearest Zappos, thank you so very much for the speedy delivery. The boots arrived just in time for the evening dog walk where I inadvertently stepped on a rusted roofing nail. Had I been wearing my sneakers the nail would have passed through into my foot. Very happy with these boots and the use I have already gotten from them. Dearest Merrell thank you for making an excellent product, the nail left almost no trace once removed, quality craftsmanship.

I like these so much I got a pair for work and home. I work 12 hour shifts as a nurse and these are comfortable and supportive.

I'm on my feet eight hours straight. I've broken my ankle after age fifty and have had foot issues ever since. I recently developed Plantar Fasciitis and man is it painful. So I read the reviews and found other Merrell wearers. I'm so glad I ordered these shoes. I am now going to order Merrell sandals. Hurting feet no more. Oh, and I love Zappos.com They have an awesome Customer Service Team. Kudos to you.

Hands Down - BEST SHOE EVER I bought these shoes for a three(3) week long trip traveling around Europe traveling with some girlfriends. We began in Amsterdam, then went on to Brussels, Cologne, Munich, then London. In these three weeks, I walked a total of 110 miles. Yes, 110 miles in three weeks of walking all over these beautiful cities. In these three weeks and 110 miles, NOT ONCE did I ever get a blister on my feet. I state this because after the first night in the hotel room and every day thereafter, my girlfriends were each changing out band-aids on their feet and toes, and I just watched in disbelief but of course gloating on the inside because I didn't have to deal with the additional pain of blisters. In Amsterdam specifically, I think due to the all stone pave streets and generally bad sidewalks, my feet did ache, but with smoothly paved streets and general rough terrain, these shoes ROCKED! These are absolutely my go to shoe for days where there will be lots of walking/standing. I can't believe I didn't have these shoes sooner, but am so very glad I found them. Better late than never!!!

Love these hikers! They were comfortable right off the bat but I did add a heel cup under the included insole since I have a history of plantar fasciitis. The shoe is light weight but has a nice firm sole. I am a 6.5-7 in dress shoes, 7.5 in most running shoes. I got these in a 7.5 and they fit perfect with medium thick socks...with some room at the toes.

These shoes give good arch and lateral support and are excellent for stabilizing the foot when covering uneven terrain. The tread is excellent for providing traction. For those wishing s softer footbed, consider ordering a half size larger to allow for insertion of insoles.

I bought these to break in before a trip in June - but they were comfortable right out of the box. No breaking in needed!

A very good hiking shoe! I've had Merrell hikers before. So, I bought these last summer, but they did not work out because of knee issues. They are very stiff and hard and made my knees hurt. I kept them to try after knee replacement surgery over this past winter. I tried them again and they are just too hard and stiff for me.

My second pair of these trail runners and I love them. Perfect fit right out of the box, though I use an arch support.

This is my second pair of Moab Ventilators. I bought the first pair a year ago and have worn them a ton. These are my go to shoes for walking the dog (two miles/ per day), day hikes on trails and just around town. The best part is they are very comfortable and fit my feet well (wider forefoot, narrow heel, short toes). I love that Zappos stocks all the available color combinations. Another major retailer (where I am a member) only stocks the blue, which I really dislike. So Zappos got my business instead. It is so easy to find what you want, order and return or exchange. I had not worn Merrell hikers before but I tried them on the recommendation from friends. These were comfortable right out of the box and since I am planning some adventure travel this year I also purchased the waterproof version of these boots. I am very happy with them both!

I am a first time hiker and bought these based on other reviews. I am so glad I did. The hikes we have done were challenging and I had the best traction in the group. These shoes are sturdy, comfortable and well worth the price. I typically wear a 7 1/2 and bought the 8. It was perfect.

I've been a HUGE Merrell fan for 15 years. A few months ago I ordered the Siren 2 sport but returned them as they were more of a traditional hiking shoe with the hooks at the top to tighten the show. Sadly, I found it very hard to tighten the shoes and so I returned them. I recently ordered the Moab Ventilator and really like them. I like the fact they tighten like a traditional sneaker. I usually order hiking shoes and sneakers 1/2 size larger than my traditional size, but found doing so with this shoe made them to big. My traditional shoe size was the perfect fit. There is not a lot of cushioning or support on the sole or toe bed but I think overall I'll have much more stability and traction hiking than I do with my sneakers. I like them and would buy another pair.

Great show, feels rugged and durable but lightweight. Runs true to size. Only negative is the laces are very short and can be difficult to tie. Noticed that in some other reviews too. Not a good enough reason to skip them though, I'm glad I got them!

Fantastic traction and good looking shoe. I have no doubt these will hold up well and perform great on hiking trails. I've worn them every day since they arrived. They are a little clunky, but I'm getting used to it as I break them in.

This is my first experience with a Merrell sport shoe & I couldn't be more pleased. There's some kind of built-in support that I can feel that keeps me from over-pronating. I bought a half size larger which is a perfect fit. It's a very comfortable shoe that I use daily for hiking. Thanks to Zappos for the wonderful service and the reviews I depend on when buying my shoes.

This is my second pair of these tennies. I also have the earth tone color. They are comfortable, provide support, great for hiking and walking. I love them! And this color goes great with jeans. They are wide enough for my feet.

This shoe is now my favorite! High quality, good support of arch and heel, excellent lacing are all things I look for when buying shoes. This far exceeds any other shoe I have purchased!

I have been wearing this shoe for close to 5 years. When one wears out, I buy another. Excellent support and very good cushioning. Makes a great light hiker.

Size 7 fit perfectly! (Comments of others said runs small so I purchased the 7 and 7 1/2.) Very comfortable and exactly the shoe I have been looking for. Good tread for all conditions. Returns are so easy! Zappos service is excellent!
