Great hiking shoe - I hike on hilly trails which can be quite muddy and slick in the winter months. The Chameleon is performing well. It has good traction and stability and is very comfortable. Two complaints: it seems to have stretched out a bit after just a few wearings, and is now a bit too wide. It's also difficult to lace and tie due to an odd tongue device apparently designed to keep the tongue from shifting. Still, it's a comfortable, not-too-heavy shoe that works well for off-road and even muddy trails.

Good shoe. Shoe fits well (I just wish they made 1/4 sizes instead of 1/2 sizes) good fit, ok comfort-bit stiff may take some time break in.

Great shoe, although not for me - This seems like good quality -- firm and good support. Unfortunately, it did not fit my particular foot. I'm a little wide in the toes and narrower in the heel. I'm normally a size 6.5-7.0, but the size 7, while fitting well in the heel, was way too tight in the toe box. I ended up buying size 7.5, but slightly regret it, because while it fits in the toe box, it's just too loose in the ankle, which, of course, defeats much of the purpose of a hiking boot.

A Very Good Buy - I first hesitated to buy hiking boots online because my old feet (64 year-old) can be difficult to please. I could have ordered may be a half size smaller, but after I broke them in at home, they feel just fine. They are light and can be worn "in town" as well as in the wild.

These are definitely good-looking in person (although the "brown" color does not have nearly as much contrast between the two shades of brown as appears online - a good thing in my book). Fit-wise though, they were incredibly stiff (although this could read "supportive" to some and not be a bad thing). The reason I had to return them was because I expected a little more arch support - these left my arches not having contact with the insole.

Warning: Slips on wet surfaces - A 1/2 day in the ER has convinced me this is a fair weather only shoe. The soles slip on wet ground or brick. For the price, you'd think they'd grip better.
