Great support - Suffering from plantar fasciitis and some neuropathy (from chemotherapy) in one foot I found these shoes to provide excellent support.

Amazing shoes - Comfortable out of the box. Water, snow and rain resistant. Bought for a ski trip and wanted something I could use on wet soccer fields. Perfect choice, well worth the money.

Comfortable! I like these shoes! They kept my feet dry (but not warm). I guess Gore-Tex made me think warm - so that is my ONLY disappointment. I wore them from 7am to 5pm and was very comfortable!

Great Shoe - Many thanks to Zappos for my many returns. This shoe was a good 1/2 smaller than I expected. Once I got the 1/2 size larger, they went on my feet and have been there ever since. No beak-in required, and I have already ordered another pair in a different color. I love Merrell's.

Great Show - I bought a 7.5 but I had to return them for an 8. When they arrived they fit perfectly. They hug the foot well, felt great support. (I have a lower arch)

Excellent water proof shoe - I've worn this shoe a couple of times now and I really like it. It's totally waterproof and the vibram sole makes it so I don't slip on any surface (including linoleum). The shoe isn't too clunky and the color combo (I got pewter/black) matches black and brown stuff. The only sort of bad thing is the tongue on the right shoe shifts to the right side and hits my ankle in a bad spot. Other than that, they're great! Oh also I got an 8 though I normally wear 7.5.

These felt great right out of the box, but they got a big test soon after I got them – a weekend of hiking in the Scottish Highlands. Conditions were rocky, wet and chilly, with great potential for foot twisting and drenching. I wore my Merrells with fleece socks and my feet stayed stable, dry and toasty the whole time. Needless to say, I was quite happy with the purchase. I wear a 7.5 or an 8 depending on the shoe. With Merrells, I wear an 8.

My feet are finally dry - These work wonders at keeping my feet dry when walking through tall grass with my dogs. I used to wear running shoes, so the weight of these Merrells took some getting used to. I wear a 7 1/2 in dress shoes and an 8 in athletic, so I ordered these in an 8 to get the right fit.

I needed a pair of hiking shoes for a recent trip to Kauai. I wasn't planning to spend this much because I'm not typically a hiker and thought I could get away with something less expensive. In my haste to find something quickly, I decided to go with the Merrells because I have another pair of their shoes and they are very comfortable. I’m so glad I spent the extra money. The Merrells were well worth the investment and super comfortable. At least a dozen times, I thought to myself how great the shoes were. They really grabbed the terrain and felt supportive on my feet. I liked the laces too, which held a nice, strong knot.

These shoes are just what I was looking for. Light enough to run in and waterproof.

Incredibly comfortable! I have wide feet and a very high instep. These hiking shoes were incredibly comfortable (without being too wide and sloppy) right out of the box. The tip to buy them a 1/2 size larger was right, but with that, they are great. Didn't want to take them off.

A must have for walkers! I have recently started a walking for fitness program and I am really, sadly out of shape. These shoes are great looking (no Minnie Mouse enormous feet look), and they were comfortable straight out of the box. I wore them on my first good walk, and I experienced no chafing, no blisters, no pinching, and my feet felt great. There is very adequate cushioning so my lower back pain wasn't aggravated. I would highly recommend these. It is too early to see how they wear and last, but I am thrilled with them.

I tried on almost all brands of hiking shoes. These by far were the most comfortable from the minute I put them on. I have a wide foot with slight bunions and they still fit perfect w/out rubbing. I've only worn them for shorter trips but I am confident that they will still provide support and comfort during the longer hikes too!

So far so good - This shoe is very comfortable and waterproof. I have a particularly unstable foot and the Q form is nice for me. Good looking shoes which I normally cannot find. BUT am watching the soles because I had bought a pair of Metro Sirens from Merrell and the sole wore down in 1 month. I just walk one hour a day in my neighborhood! Never had a shoe wear down that fast.

Very Satisfied - I am not a hiking boot kind of person, but I found these to be comfortable, well made, and as attractive as a hiking shoe can be. I ordered a 1/2 size larger as recommended and think it was a good move. (Zappos incredible service would have quickly exchanged them anyway with no shipping charge.) I have worn them on a few short hikes through the Sierra's and did not have any blisters or sore spots. My shoes did not slip on the rocks and my feet felt well supported. Since I discovered Zappos two years ago, I have not bought shoes anywhere else.

These fit well and they were very comfortable. I have a hard time buying shoes because my feet are small but these were true to size and helped me to hike through the wet (and they kept my feet dry!!) jungles of Costa Rica. Zappos is really amazing. I decided I should get these right before I left for my trip and I received them about two days after ordering them. No one else does that!!!

Just back after 6 days of backpacking in Grand Canyon. Great shoes. Just great. Comfortable even at high temperatures, as promised.

Great shoes - I took these shoes to Costa Rica during the wet season and it didn't just rain, it poured at times. My feet were kept DRY. Didn't have to break them in, were very comfortable.

Great shoe and awesome service from Zappos! I own several pairs of Merrell shoes. They are a well made shoe and comfortable. I recently took a trip to Alaska and they were great for hiking and waterproof too. Zappos provided excellent service to me as I needed the shoes quickly and had them in hand less than 24 hrs after I ordered them.

Great hiking shoes - When I first tried these on I thought they would were too rigid - but when I hiked in them, I found that they were quite supportive and comfortable. They are too hot for summer hiking in Arizona, but I will look forward to using them more in the fall. Following the advice of other reviewers I got a 1/2 size larger than my normal size. They fit perfectly.

Balanced for hiking - After rejecting two North Face shoes, the Hedgehog and the Ultra 104, I tried this shoe and was delighted. It has a generous toe box, balanced by a substantial padded tongue (so my foot doesn't slide forward when going down hill). Thanks to Zappos I tried 4 different shoes before choosing this one.

GREAT all-purpose hiking boot - I ordered these to replace some Merrells that I've worn out hiking all over the world. They are a terrific replacement -- have a snug heel but a large toe box to accommodate my bunions and are light weight and waterproof. I wear an 8.5 shoe, but both these and the Merrells I was replacing are 9.5.

Merrell's Chameleon - As usual, Zappos had this shoe on my doorstep under 24 hours after I ordered it--what great service I tried this shoe on in the mall and discovered that it runs very small. I tried on an 8M and it was too small, they did not have a larger size, so I came home and ordered it from Zappos--I ordered a 9M and it fits perfectly. We are traveling out west to hike in Wyoming and this shoe will be perfect for our day hikes. It does not have great arch support, but it is comfortable and sturdy. Almost 5 stars - Very comfortable shoe. Lots of room for your toes, nice arch support, and the shoe looks great. (I bought the green/grey color.) However, the second time I wore the shoe, I developed a blister on the back of my heel where the shoe rubbed. I've been wearing a band aid on the spot until I can break the shoe in a bit.
