Ultimates or Ultras? In spite of reading a ton of reviews, I could not decide between the two, so I ordered them both. I wear 8 1/2 and 9s normally and ordered the 7s in both. That was the right size for me in both styles. I'm keeping the Ultimates and returning the Ultras, and it was an easy decision. In the Ultras my heel slid around, the boots looked...fatter, and they sort of slouched. But the Ultimates fit perfectly (I don't have narrow feet and the Ultimates felt wider) although a bit tight over the top of the foot at the very beginning, stood tall and definitely look slimmer. According to the Ugg Australia rep, the Ultimates have better arch support and a better sole. And I totally agree. Although, I wish for more arch support (I have high arches and may buy Ugg insolses), I'm completely satisfied. For me, it was a clear choice. I hope this helps someone with their decision!

Got these today and I love them! Not my daughter's Uggs and that was the look I was going for. If you want the adult look with the same comfort, these are a must buy!

Great boots, love buying from Zappos, because they are a very user friendly company. Exellent return policy and great customer service.

Love this boot - gives warmth, good grip in slippery conditions. Have also worn them indoors all day at work without overheating. Suede is not my first choice in slush, but they seem to tolerate water well. I am a size 7 1/2 and size 7 worked just fine in both the Ultimate tall boots I own. Also have a pair of Ultimate short (in 7, brown), which has stood up to 4 years of wear and tear, and still look (and feel) great. Well worth the money!

I loved my last pair of Ultimates, which I bought about 3 years ago. I decided it was finally time to retire my old pair and replace them. I bought this new pair in the same size, but unfortunately they just didn't fit. The foot was the same size, but the leg opening was much bigger than my older pair. I'm fairly thin, (5'9" and 130lbs), and they hung off my calves...I'm really sad. I was really looking forward to my new pair, but they're just too big around the calf. Nothing wrong with the quality, same great Uggs! I just really wish they hadn't made the leg opening so much bigger! I'm returning my pair, but still leaving a 5 star rating.

Way better than the classic Ugg boot- more rugged and supportive sole, and the shaft width is perfect for folks that normally cannot wear tall boots over jeans b/c of wide calves! So comfy and warm - Love them! I am normally an 8.5 - most reviews say go down a size in Uggs but I found in this boot I needed to go up a 1/2 size to a 9 to be comfortable.

I ordered UGG boots as a gift for my daughter. I thought they might run small, but they don't, so they were a size too big. I contacted Zappos, and before I knew what what happening they said I would receive the correct size in a day or two. They e-mailed me a free return slip and never even charged my credit card a second time. I was amazed at how smoothly this return went. I would highly recommend Zappos to anyone and will continue to use them for my needs in the future. Thank you Zappos!

I love these boots, and while I don't have this exact style of the Ulitimate, I have an original pair from 2005...Ugg Ultimate Tall which have a toggle/drawstring around the calf (which I never used). After 7 years of near every day fall/winter/spring use and an insole change 3 years ago, they're still fabulous looking. The sole, the suede...everything about them is still in very good condition, no holes or anything. The inside heels though, have definitely seen better days as all the fur is rubbed off from wearing them so much and they're again in need of an insole change. I have a 2 year old pair of classics which got holes in the toes after the first few times I wore them so I won't be rebuying that style. When I'm ready to replace my Ultimates, it will definitely be with another pair of Ultimates!

I'm very happy with this purchase. Note, while these are "tall" they hit you mid calf, so consider if you are looking for something elongating for your legs. The back braid is a very nice detail and gets comments. It feels more like a boot (however very comfortable) and is more structured than the slipper-like feel of the classic. Re-enforced toe is much more flattering to your foot as well as being more durable. I got the black which looks nice with leggings and jeggings. They're worth the extra money as these are a classic and sure to see years of wear.

As usual, Uggs are amazing! I love these because they are tall, but still easy to slip on. Great for leggings or cropped pants. I wear them everywhere! Size down a half size, as usual.

These boots are so warm and so comfortable. The rubber sole is thick and provides good traction, so if you are planning to wear Uggs outside of the home, these are are a great option. Also, the braided back offers a more unique look and not like the standard Ugg boot!

Always a fan of Ugg boots! These are, as usual, super comfortable and keep my feet nice and warm in this winter cold.

I bought both this style as well as the Greenfield style. I like the Greenfields much more. The quality of the both pairs is great, but the Greenfields are a little taller and more sleek which is what I was looking for. These are great too, so I guess it just depends on what you are looking for!

Nice quality boot. Too narrow across the ball of my foot and loose in the heel.

These are my third pair of Uggs, and I absolutely love them! I like these because they have the thicker sole, unlike my classics and my cardy which have the thin sole. I order a whole size down, and I can wear thick socks, jeggings, and still pull up the boot.

Perfect boots. College daughter loves! Bit pricey but she wears them all the time!

Love these UGG boots, they are warm, comfortable and look really smart with the braiding up the back of the shaft. The braid gives it that little extra something. Very happy with this purchase!

These are great boots! These are my second pair of Uggs and just like my first, "Nightfall," they have the ultra bottom with the insole that can be replaced, which I LOVE! When you replace the insole every season (year) they feel great all over again. NOTE: with this style bottom, they run large- Typically I am a 9.5 in shoes/boots, I ordered these in an 8, and they are perfect. When you first get them, they are a tad tight, but within a couple of days they stretch out and conform just right. Uggs really needs to make these boots in GREY!!! I got black because that was my only option. Also, you can roll the top down just a touch, if you like that look, to expose the shearling. And due to the dark color, they will turn your feet temporarily black-ish when first worn; that too goes away after a few wearings.

Boots fit great, always buy the smaller size if you are in between. Warm, comfortable and as always great service from Zappos!

I love these boots for many reasons. They are very comfortable. Aren't all Uggs? I love the looks and how I can wear them up or with the shearling rolled down. But most importantly, I love the 'ultimate' bottoms. Took an unexpected hike and was worried as I was wearing my new Uggs but they were great on the trail, the bottoms were perfect for the damp ground, and the dog prints from the four dogs jumping around us brushed right off when dry.

These were for my sister in England where the price is considerably more! The quality is excellent, the bottoms are sturdy yet not too bulky, the fur was so thick, the braid makes a nice change and makes them more of a grown-up feel getting away from that "every teenager has a pair of Uggs" thing. They are worth the money.

These are the best UGGs out there. I hate that the price keeps going up so much, though. The toe and heel pieces keep them from stretching out so much. Highly recommended.

I ordered these boots as a Christmas gift for my daughter. I followed the easy directions and ordered a full size smaller than normal. The boots arrived promptly, and they fit perfectly. It was a great experience, and I would not hesitate to place another order.

They're warm; that's for sure. I returned a North Face boot because they were not keeping my toes warm. I decided to pay a little more for something that I know will keep my feet warm. This is definitely worth the money. I am a 7 1/2 and bought a size 7. There is plenty room for my toes to wiggle. :)
