Yes, these boots are expensive, but they are worth their weight in gold to a parent of a child with sensitive feet: not too hot or too cold, no straps to adjust and re-adjust or over-tighten, no need for socks that could fall down or bunch up...just pull them on and go, without tears. They are best for daily comings and goings, not heavy-duty play or snow. Applying NikWax to the surface helps keep them clean.

I have yet to take these off since purchasing! I was very skeptical about the sizing and wasn't sure if I was a 5 or 6 in youth. (For reference, I am flat foot and normally a 7.5 in shoes and heels, and a size 8 in flats. In European size I wear a 37.5 and a 38.5 in flats.) Zappos didn't have the 5 in stock at the time of my order so I ordered the 6 and am very glad I did. I found the size 6 to be snug in the middle area and have a little bit of heel slip when worn without socks. However, when I wore very thin socks, the problem went away. I also found the problem was less apparent when I tucked my sweats/jeans/pants into the boot, which is how I intend to wear the boot. I had about 1/2 inch space from the front of the boot and no toes touching. Because I still I wasn't convinced I was a size 5 or 6, I also visited Ugg store locations to see their opinions. Many of the stores were sold out in the Ultimates for youth (another reason I love Zappos! for their stock availability above most locations), so instead I tried the youth classics in a 5. Although the 5 fit snugly and comfortably they all had mentioned that because of the rubber sole and enforced toe of the ultimate, that they will not stretch or pack in as much as the classics. They recommended I stick with the 6 in youth in the Ultimates, but a 5 youth if I prefer the classics. Because of this, I don't think the Ultimates in youth may fit those who are anything larger than a size 8 womens, unless you have very narrow feet. As far as the difference between women and youth short Uggs, both appeared to be the same materials and quality except the youth is about an inch shorter in the shaft which is not noticeable and maybe even better for people will shorter legs, like myself. The women's Ultimate is also retailing for more than the Zappos price! Hopefully this helps someone who is debating ordering the youth size for women. This was my first purchase on Zappos and I couldn't be more pleased with the overnight shipping! If you want to purchase Uggs, Zappos is definitely the way to go! Also, don't forget to add in the water & stain repellent in your order and spray before wear. You can probably pass on the cleaner.

Zappos and Uggs go together, delivering quality in a timely and efficient manner. Uggs sets the standard for quality. Everyone in the family (10) has at least one pair of Uggs. Zappos, too, sets the standard for quality customer service. As a long time customer, I've never been disappointed. Keep up the good work.

The boots are a pretty penny but they hold up much better than many of the other Uggs especially if your little one is tough on shoes. Great for wide feet and withstand lots of play and still look nice. I love the bottom they are very durable.

These are excellent winter boots. I love them. They are cozy and warm for my two toddlers. I love buying with Zappos as you cannot be wrong.

Who can go wrong with Uggs!? Every year I buy my son a pair (going on 9 years) and I've never been disappointed in the quality and I truly mean never. I can't get them off his feet! This particular boot has heavier soles than previous boots and they are a bit more rugged. True to size and there's always a little wiggle room for growth. No arch support. I've actually put these in the washer...all good!

I love these boots they are the best. My daughter loves them so much she wants to wear them everyday. I'm definitely buying my younger daughter a pair.

I love these shoes! My feet are small enough to fit into kids sizes and I'm usually a 6 so I got a 5 and they fit perfect. They are also great for the winter weather!

Not sure what's better- how fast the boots were delivered or how much my son actually loves his new Ugg boots. Girls Ugg boots are everywhere - I knew when my son wanted a pair the fastest way to find Ugg's for boys would be to go to Zappos! He was excited to find the color and style he wanted. My son says they are warm, feel like slippers and he wears his Ugg's everywhere! On the slopes before and after skiing and to school!

Great boots, my grand (Nina Cunningham) received Uggs from Santa for Xmas, in three days they were stolen. You folks save the day, by mailing a new pair within one day of my purchase.

Absolutely love it! This is my first time buying items at Zappos and I am 100% satisfied! I'm a true 6 size in woman and kids 5 is perfectly fit to my feet. I love its height, design, especially the strong rubber sole. Can't wait for my other shoes that are coming on tomorrow. Thank you Zappos!

Great for the cold, slushy New York winters - make sure you spritz them with the protector though. I definitely like these better than the classics because of the thick soles.

The best service from Zappos and the most comfortable and warmest shearling boot from Ugg. Like some others before me, I found that I could save a bit if I purchased a youth size for my adult foot - this worked for me. Just wish there was arch support for extended walking.

Package arrived the very next day. Size was perfect. The reinforced toe gave the boot a more masculine appearance and certainly will help the boot from fraying in that location.

I purchased these boots in size 5 (my normal Ugg size) and they feel too big. I am not sure if I should take the chance and return them or keep them as is. I couldn't wait for them to get here & now I'll be waiting some more.

First Ugg boots purchased for my son as a Christmas gift. The Uggs feel like butter on your feet. I am so thankful that my son is the same shoe size as me. I am definitely going to purchase a pair of these boots. The ultimate is the way to go if you are concerned about the shape of your child's foot and it is made a bit better than the regular pair.

I am a "practical purchaser." I believe in buying quality items that will last. These were a Christmas gift for my 13 year old stepdaughter, who believes the world should be made up of nothing but "cute" clothes. Surprisingly, she loved them and I am certain they'll last through this Winter and into next Fall!

I bought these to save a couple of bucks. I usually wear a 7 in the adults I probably could have used the 5 because they are a little wide but overall they are great for the snow and cold winter.

These shoes are great! My kids refuse to wear anything else. And Zappos was awesome, the package arrived earlier than I thought and made it before Christmas!
