The best shoes for active little boys! This is my son's third pair of 993's. He wears them almost every day and they hold up extremely well. They fit true to size and I love that NB carries the extra wide for wide little feet.

I bought these for my 2 1/2 year old to replace his lace-up New Balances that he'd just about outgrown. It seems like this style runs a bit wider, but we make it work. I love the Velcro, and the shoe is just so cute.

So far I'm happy with these shoes. I had to buy them on the big side because my little guy's feet grow so fast. Unfortunately this means that he can easily get them off. I expect this won't be the case when he grows into them a bit. Overall I am happy with them and would recommend them to a friend.

These are very cute but the wide was not wide enough. We usually buy Stride Rite shoes in wide and they fit well, but I had to order these in extra wide.

Nice sneaker for my son, the brown color is vibrant, and contrast well with the light blue. One thing i did not like, you have to pull the strap way to tight for it to fit on the velcro. They should have made the velcro much longer to accommodate the strap. Overall a good product, and my son likes it.

They run small and the velcro strap has to be pulled firmly to attach to the side, harder than a child can manage. They look great though.

More velcro, please! My son has x-wide feet so we are usually limited to NB and Stride Rite. We bought these this summer and they were comfy, but the problem is that the velcro does not extend all the way across the top of the foot, like most hook-and-loop shoes. Instead, there is only velcro under the "N" emblem. Disappointing, because if I didn't velcro it right over the "N" or if my son put his own shoes on, they would come unclasped and fall off. I would not buy these again, but at least they fit my son's fat feet!

These fall off my son's feet. The M is too wide for him. This is the first time this has happened with a shoe. He's 3.5 years old and size 10.

Thank you New Balance for making an extra-wide shoe that is actually cute and looks like every other shoe. My son is 2 and this is our fourth pair in a row of these. I intend to keep buying them because the width is perfect, they are easy to put on and take off, they wash well, and the price is great.

Great shoe! My twin boys have worn these since they first learned to walk, and now are 3.5 years old! I average 2 pairs a year for their growing feet. Easy on and off and they both love them!

Great, classic shoe. I searched and searched for a simple sneaker that could be worn with just about anything. Color is a nice dark grey, which I liked better than the light gray, not as likely to show dirt. Single Velcro close is a snap... so easy my 2 year old can do it. He loves them! Does seem to run a little wide, bought wide at Stride Rite and could have maybe gone regular here.

These shoes are awesome! My son has little block feet and these are perfect in xw. Granted, he could probably wear just the wides, but the xw are just easier to get on and off. I will be ordering a new pair every time he needs a bigger size, they are just that awesome!

Shoes fit great. My son loves the reflective accents and his new "super fast shoes". Good quality shoe, and velcro strap lets him put them on easily by himself. Will look for these in the next size when he's ready.

These are the cutest shoes I have ever seen. Bought them in wide for my sons fat, high arched feet!

This is the 2nd pair of these I've bought for my son (age 1 1/2). They are great! Seem to be comfortable and very well made, also easy to put on. He outgrew the first pair after wearing them pretty much every day, and they're still in great shape for our next boy. We get lots of compliments. Hard to tell about arch support since he's so young.

My 2 year old has a wide foot and it was hard to find shoes that addressed this issue. He didn't like to put any shoes on because of it. These shoes go on so smoothly and he didn't mind walking in them. I got 2 pair.

Love these sneakers. My son is 3 and he is on his second pair (cause he grew). Great color! They go with everything and because they are grey they don't show all the dirt. I think they run a little small. All his other shoes are an 8 but bought these in an 8.5 and they are perfect. Well worth the money!

The shoes are excellent in all regards, the problem is the color. I purchased for my little girl and she has very few outfits that match these shoes. My mistake since I'm a Father and thought Fall might lend itself to darker colors.

We absolutely love this shoe! This is the third pair we have purchased, and that was only due to growing feet. The old shoes are still in excellent condition. My 3-year-old has no problem putting these on himself, and his daycare teachers (when he was two) commented that he was one of the only kids in his group that was comfortable enough in his shoes to leave them on all day. I definitely recommend these wonderful shoes!

I have been buying this shoe (in various colors) since my son was 2 1/2, and he is now 4. He wears orthotics and the extra-wide works perfectly to fit them. I have not come across any other brand that offers the XW and works quite as well as this sneaker. I will continue to buy it for years to come.

I bought these pairs for my son and these are his second pair. They look cute on him and he walks in them really well. I am not sure about the arch support as he does not talk much yet but I would definitely recommend the shoe.
