Overall one of the best loafer style shoes, but that only lasted a little over a week of use before the insert inside insole began separating and the foam under it beginning to deteriorate. The thing has a manufacturing design process defect. The cloth foot base on the insole is apparently lightly glued and has two heat pressed/rolled pseudo seams to secure the cover to the rubberized foam insert insole. The fabric easily gives up it's adhesion and rolls up, exposing the rubberized foam which then begins to chunk off. I returned mine two times now with the same problem, same location inside heel on both sets of shoes... I'm getting a month of use only by returning twice. I'm on my third pair today. Love the style and comfy walk but the comfy goes away after a week when it frays up and starts to fall apart.

Peruse the reviews and examine the many comments that refer to the durability of the shoe at the big toe. I've purchased this shoe four times, as it's ridiculously comfortable, but I cannot do so anymore. The last Santa Cruz shoes that I purchased didn't last six months. Every single time, I've had one shoe (not both, oddly) wear out at the big toe. If I walked miles per day in them, over the course of several months, I could potentially understand that the shoes might not last. I do not. I typically use the shoes to walk around the house or the yard. I do find it telling that one of the two template "con" choices is "wear out quickly." Crocs apparently knows of the issue, yet seemingly relies upon fools like me to purchase four pairs before they finally learn their lesson. As I stated, the shoe is comfortable, even with the relatively new replacement sole (not as comfortable as the last one, but it lasts and is not as prone to odor. Crocs did a great job with this.) I do not like to simply complain without offering a solution to my complaints. However; the complaint, and its solution, is simple and self-explanatory. I cannot purchase again until I see that they have redesigned this. It really wouldn't take much time, much money, or much thought to do the right thing. I can only expect that it would serve the company well to treat one of its leading brands with the respect it initially built with similar quality and a fair price. Shoes looked great. However I got a blister on the bottom of my foot and I broke out in a rash from the fringe on the top of the shoe. I will not be wearing these again; disappointed because I was looking for an easy shoe to wear without socks in the summer months.

I purchased these shoes over the summer and was quickly hooked into wearing them all of the time. They are very comfortable and light. I am however highly disappointed that after only 4 months both shoes have a whole in the top above the big toe. While I love this shoe for the comfort, I don't think I could recommend it to others because of the lack of durability.

I have purchased five pair of the Santa Cruz. My wife tells me I have a croc disorder! Lol! Honestly I love the shoe as it is the most comfortable I've ever owned but as with others the Santa Cruz wears out at the toes quickly even after buying a larger size. Love the comfort but the quality is bad. I won't buy anymore until they double the strength of the material in the toe of the shoe.

Sadly I am returning these shoes. They are too narrow for my 8 year old son's foot. I wish these came in more junior sizes. I ordered another pair of Crocs (clog style) as my son has had at least one pair of Crocs every summer for the past 7 years and they were the same size as these loafers and they fit perfectly! These shoes are super cute and would be great for casual or even church, unfortunately, not for us.

I've purchased a pair of these shoes and really enjoyed them. So, when they wore out I decided to oder another pair. I ordered the Charcoal and Light Gray. The pictures shows a charcoal top and light gray bottom. What I received was Light gray on top and light gray on the bottom. This color combination isn't even a choice, so I'm not sure what happened. Disappointed.

I have bought 2 pair of these and had the same problem with both. They run small and the big toe area has worn through. I pretty much wear Crocs all the time and have purchased several pair. I wear a 10, bought these in a 10. First pair wore through, tried again, tried an 11 at the store, way too large so got another 10, same problem. This is the only Crocs I have had this sort of problem with. Nice shoe, I just can afford to have the front wearing out in a short period of time. Overall, I love my Crocs!

Love the look and comfort of these shoes, but only one month after I got them, the seam is separating near the big toe area on both shoes, leaving a small but growing hole in the top.

I'm a tall guy with size 12, E (wide) feet, so I do have trouble finding stylish shoes that fit comfortably. Liked the look and style of this shoe. The reviews and comfort chart said these fit true to size, but, I had to return them. They did not fit, not even close. I would mention the sole height takes up space inside the shoe. I do wear my regular crocs all the time and love them.

I had bought a pair in a shoe store before, I have a big foot 12W and I got a 13M it was a perfect fit and had a cushion in sole. Most comfortable shoe ever warn. The pair I got off the net from Crock's has a rubber insole and a real tight fit. It is not as comfortable as my first pair. I like Crocks shoes but this pair I would not reorder. If you have a wide foot I would not recommend. Good deals off the net, but you may have better luck going to a store that carries Crocks

I think these shoes are great looking, comfortable, and light weight for the business traveler. However, if you have sweaty feet, these things will start to stink after awhile (6 months) and act like aponge for your sweat. Ventilation is nonexistent(they put two weak holes on the inner sole to try to creat a draft) if you wait until they start to smell, it is too late. My first pair a few years ago had a cloth insole, the same thing happened. The most recent pair has a neoprene insole and I thought this was the cure, but not the case. It is disappointing because they still look new, they just stink even after you wash them. I would wash them early and often, so what if they fall apart from the wash, at least they might not smell. They are a great 6 month shoe for the stinky foot crowd.

I received these shoes today and couldn't even get them on my feet. I wear a 9 1/2 and followed the instructions to order a 1/2 size down. Huge mistake!!!! now I have to pay return shipping, but they give you free shipping on your next order. Like I'm dumb enough to order another pair without trying them on first..... They can keep their free shipping coupon!!!! What a waste of time .

Let me start by saying I LOVE the Santa Cruz and so I thought I would love the Hemp. However - I did not. It is cut entirely different. The tongue comes way up on your foot and hits your leg. It felt like something was always rubbing my leg and this would make it soar. ALSO - the shoe is cut wider than the traditional Santa Cruz. I wear a wide shoe and this is way to wide for my foot. All-in-all my experience with this shoe was not good. I had hopes of finding a Santa Cruz that is not built so shabby looking - but I will take shabby over poor fitting. I give this shoe 2 stars because it looks good. If you have an extra wide foot then go for it.

I bought these for my fiance. They were very comfortable, but looked like slippers. Not the look he was going for!

Previous similar models were wonderful. The raw edges on the uppers fray and look bad.

This purchase was a replacement for a well-used pair purchased several years ago. I wish we hadn't thrown out the old pair; they were better than the new China-made version. Very cheap looking and feeling (narrower).

I've owned three pairs of the same shoes and it never fails to put a hole in the shoe from your big toe. I'm now going to try the Walu slip on shoe. The shoe, however, is very comfortable.
