I bought these boots for my mom. She smiled as soon as she put them on!
No breaking in required and she said the inner soles feel really comfortable.

Really nice boot. Very comfortable. I got it so I can go from the plant floor to a meeting and still look good. Very good value.

These are great boots and last for years. Both sons and husband have them in black so ordered the brown ones for husband to have. He loves them.

I have been purchasing the Dr. Martens Ironbridge for my husband. He has problems with his ankles and the other boots I tried he would wear out one side of the shoe. The boots would not even last a year, but with these boots they last over a year. He likes the support since he is on his feet a lot.

I have had a pair of these boots for two years and I will never buy a different boot. I had bought a pair of John Deere boots about 4 months prior, paid more for them, and they only lasted the 4 months before one of the seams started to bust. These Doc Martens are extremely comfortable and they last a long time I will be very upset if they ever discontinue this model.

Great shoe! But better service from Zappos. I order the same shoe but with the steel toe. Something was wrong with the steel as it killed one of my feet. So I contacted Zappos and they took them back with no hassle whatsoever. Replaced them with this non-steel toed boot. Love it. Last pair I had like this I got 2 years of daily wear out of it in a construction job. I won't buy another pair or shoes ever again or from another company. Zappos has a customer for live. Seriously!

This is my second pair of Dr. Marten shoes I've ever owned, and this pair did not disappoint! Love the comfort in the heel, my arch supports fit in them (I have super high arches), and my toes don't rub on the sides. I'm on concrete floor all day, and my feet are very happy in these shoes. I'm a female ceramic artist, and I will definitely stick with this boot! I'm going to have to order a black pair when brown doesn't match my outfit for the day!

Durable, heavy work boot. I wear these as firefighting station boots and they are not the best but they are pretty good. My feet feel protected and they are comfortable for all day wear but I would suggest arch support. My feet also get hot with long wear of these boots. Despite these negative qualities, I do like them but I’m a long-time Doc Martens fan.

What can I say... This is my 3rd pair (from Lehigh). The shoes fit my feet well (true to size). I generally buy a new pair every 1.5 years because they get a lot of use. the only down side of the shoe is the inner sole on just one side will start to split but by the time this happens the tread is is worn down so not really an issue but my reason for the 4 stars. For my needs this is a good all day working shoe that fits and looks good as well.

Just received my boots, really, really comfy for steel toed boots. These boots feel already broken in. The best way to describe them is high top basketball shoes with a steel toe and a non-slip sole.
The cherries on top is that they arrived in 3 days, and the wife really likes them.

My only issue with this shoe is that they don't offer half sizes. I thought since it's a work boot and I'd wear thicker socks, maybe I could get away with a half size bigger, but no. There's too much room in the toe and the heel slides up and down when I walk. I have no doubt that would rub and hurt in no time, so I won't be keeping these. For the money I paid, I should have the option of a size that actually fits, so I'll choose one of the competing brands. They seem like otherwise comfortable, tough, nice-looking boots, though. Thanks to Zappos' awesome customer service and shipping policy, I should have no trouble exchanging these for shoes that will fit me!

The upper part of the boot that wraps around the ankle is too soft to support the heavy bottoms. The result is a weighty bottom with not enough ankle support to compensate for it. The look is a winner. These are really sharp looking boots and different than your average brown work boots. The Doc Marten Sole puts them in another category than other work boots. These are way softer on the feet. These are not really walking boots. I doubt that I will wear these exploring a new city but who knows how they will feel after a few months. These are boots. You wear them when it is raining, snowing, or cold. You do not go running in them.

I purchased these shoes in March of this year. They have been worn five days a week, max, since then. It has not been four months yet and the soles are already separating from the shoe. I have this happen every time I buy doc Martens but usually it takes 8 to 10 months. I am done with this brand, I have given them chance after chance. No more.

I really do not like this boots. The only good thing about them is that they look nice but that is it. They are very heavy and have a tendency to pull your socks down but worst thing is that they are not waterproof or even water-resistant. After spending 15min on a wet grass surface my socks and feet were soaked. For this much money you can find better.

I really wanted to love these boots. I'd bought them to replace a pair of Docs that had lasted me from 1998 to 2012. I wasn't expecting to get that amount of wear a second time but I would have liked to get more wear than what I got. I bought these boots in January '13 and by December '13 both soles had split all the way across the ball of the foot. Now they leak like crazy and are unwearable as work boots. I didn't even abuse them like my previous pair as I spent most of my time behind a desk or walking the plant. All I can say is that having been a Dr. Martens fan for a long time it bums me out that I'll no longer be purchasing anymore of their products. Quality isn't what it used to be since they moved operations from Great Britain to elsewhere. Don't waste your money.

3rd pair of Dr. Martens I've purchased. First pair was good, 2nd pair split along the bottom of the boot after 6 months and thought maybe a bad boot, 3rd pair split through the entire sole of the boot from side to side on both boots after 4 months. I'm not rough on these shoes since I work indoors so maybe the quality just isn't there anymore? Comfortable yes but not going to spend this amount on a pair of boots every few months.

The steel toe sucks! Going to burn the shoes since I can't return them. I have always been a Marten fan. But these boots I cannot make comfortable. If they weren't "Steel Toe" they would be great. I think Dr. Marten has lost a long time consumer! Really disappointed!

Husband is a electrician and on concrete floors all day. He said he bought them due to the reviews! what a bunch of bs! He cant even walk when he gets home his feet hurt so bad. I am asking Zappos for a refund. Dansko needs to make a work boot for men... otherwise don't buy these, the reviews are probably written by Dr. Martens staff.
