I wear a size 7/5, ordered a 7 but had a lot of extra room in the toe area. Ordered a size 6, fit better but the boot felt really stiff in all areas, but especially around the ankle. Prior reviews stated that they loosen, but it seems they would need to loosen a lot to be comfortable. I also didn't realize they had steal toe. I need boots for riding motorcycle and and in winter, steal toe isn't going to work. However, they are a great looking boot, I wish they felt more comfortable. Both pair went back.

I wore these boots for work everyday for one year, they were relatively comfortable for the first 6 months but the last 6 months they've really degraded and they never really had much are support and at this point at one year I feel like I'm wearing a pair of flip-flops. I will say the construction is Hardy and it is only now with constant exposure to grease oil transmission fluid and any other number of chemicals that the soul is finally starting to split and break down the Comfort level would probably be greatly remedied with a high-end set of insoles from either your foot doctor or a specialty shop. I recently put some drugstore inserts in them and they were only mildly better but I think that at this point there outliving their service life

Really disappointed. Docs aren't what they used to be.

Chewing my feet off would hurt less than walking around a warehouse for 10 hours in these.

I am not in love with these boots by any means. Originally I thought that I just needed to break them in. Here we are months later and I now have a callus that has developed on my toes- both feet. I do not have wide feet at all. I've had steel toe boots before and these are by far the heaviest that I have owned. I am constantly moving for about 8 hours of my day and I dread every time I put these boots on.

Like all my other Dr. Martens, they started out stiff, broke in quickly, and went on their way providing good comfort five days a week, ten hours a day. This particular pair however suffered sole delamination right where the softer, yellow rubber meets the harder rubber. The boots were only two months old. Quite displeased but it happens. Kudos to Zappos for providing immediate credit upon return. They are the real heroes here!

Usually these last my husband at least 2 years. In the past year I have had to purchase 2 pairs of these from Zappos. These have not been up to the quality of they many Dr. Martin's (exact same style) he has had over the past 10+ years. Both of them were defective and after a few days of wearing my husband had to glue the boots because they have cracked on the outside of the shoe where the sole meets the boots. I am disgusted at how much I've had to spend this year on these now. Zappos needs to do something about the poor quality of these boots. I have been a good customer for years and am now reconsidering purchasing anything from Zappos again.

I have been a fan of Doc Marten shoes for years. Usually the sole wears down to a smooth surface before I have to get a new pair. Bought this pair and in less than a year of wearing them the sole cracked completely across the arch area. Due to this the shoe is no longer wearable. Really disappointed in this brand getting cheaper over the years. After reading reviews in different locations, this is a common problem with Doc Martens lately.
