My daughter tried on mine and immediately noticed the support she felt. She had flat feet and her ankles tend to turn in. They arrived and she put them on and had not taken them off! They look really cute in size 38.

These fit great, just like the sandals. I rated them low on style because...well, look at them. You don’t wear these for the looks, but they are super comfortable, especially if you have arch issues.

It’s Birkenstock, so they tend to run wider. I ordered narrow for my sandals I wear barefoot (39N, I’m usually a 7 in other shoes) and regular (39R, I’m usually an 8 in Mizuno running shoes) for the Boston because I plan to wear them with socks. They fit perfectly! Great footbed and incredibly speedy delivery (ordered and on the way within hours). They arrived with a crease in the right shoe, but customer service was awesome and helped me find a solution.

The fit is great, they’re still stiff so walking for long periods of time hurt my feet but they will get broken in and be fine.

I'm a medium width men's US 10 in most shoe brands. I was torn between a 42 and 43, and went with the 43. These feel maybe half a size too large, and have more room F/R than I expected. But I haven't completed break-in yet so it's a little early to tell how my feet will sit once the arch compresses. Otherwise, classic Birk style and the oiled leather has the a casual look that will hold up better than suede.

These are so comfortable, right away. Over time I know the leather will soften, darken, and shine up a little and these will be perfect for years. Great for stabilizing the foot—I have an injury right now and these are the only shoes I can wear because of the more rigid sole and footbed.

Wear Birkenstocks all the time, glad to see they are still making great shoes.

Probably the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. They needed some leather lotion coming out of the box but after that they have been perfect. Highly recommended, especially from Zappos.

These are currently my favorite shoes. I wear them five or six days per week. I generally find Birkenstocks have excellent support, and they are some of the few brands of shoes that I can wear and stand on my feet all/most of the day and not have any pain. These are no exception. They Birks, so they're not "cute" or "on trend", but they are great for my feet!

I am SO happy I bought these shoes! I have two pairs of Birkenstock Gizehs. I love them, I wear a 38 in the Gizeh's so that's what I ordered, well...the Boston's seem to run a little bigger. I returned then for a 37, and I LOVE them!!!! It's very hard for me to find comfortable shoes (bunions ?). I love my Birks so I started looking, and thought the Boston's were so cute! I thought I'd give them a try....I'm SO SO glad I did. I love the feel of the Birk footbed so they felt good from the get go. Overall, I think if you like Birkenstocks, you'll like these! You *may* need to go down a size in the Bostons, but I think you'll love em!

Bought this pair of Bostons to replace a very well worn pair I've had for five years. I've worn Bostons from fall for over 30 years. This is the first pair with the oiled leather material. I really like it. I highly recommend them!

Never stop making the original footbed, Birkenstock! I've been wearing Birkenstock sandals for 35 years. I've never had the Boston. It seemed too cloddy looking for me (female) though I liked them on others. Well, I'm approaching 60. I've got arthritis. My body is aligned in my Birks. My whole body feels better wearing Birks. I decided I needed a pair of closed toe Birks for winter so I could wear them year round. Also I have to wear closed toe shoes at my job. My current pair of Birkenstock sandals have the soft footbed. I liked them. However when I got these Bostons I was reminded how much I prefer to have the original footbed. I need a firm footbed! I got the black oiled leather in a Regular width. I'm normally a wide. They do appear wide because of their style but I wear them with thicker wool socks. They look great with wool leggings and thick socks (if you like that kind of look). I think if I got a pair for summer to wear sans socks, I'm might go with the narrow.

They fit great, comfortable, great arch support and I believe they will become even more comfortable as time goes on. I do not like the way they look, though. I thought by he picture the color was uniform. To me they look very worn in the toe area. Other people are probably happy with the look. I wanted to wear them right away so I chose not to return them, but I am wondering if I could polish them or take them to a cobbler to make them look better. Thank you, Nancy ps. I intentionally ordered one size up so I could wear thick socks—PERFECT.

This is my a second pair of Birkenstock Bostons. The first pair I ordered in 2015 and they are still going strong. My most recent purchase was so I would have the same shoes in black, as my brown ones were not appropriate for some situations. Since I have been wearing this style of Birks for 4+ years I already knew my size and the new pair received fit perfectly. Breaking them in is another matter entirely. As anyone who wears Birks knows there is a required break-in period before the soles mold to your foot's shape and you achieve peak comfort. I have been walking around in my new ones for a couple of hours total now, and they are starting to arrive in the comfort zone. This is entirely what I was expecting based on prior experience. These are my favorite shoes and the break-in period is totally worth it when you arrive at the end and have a pair of shoes that make your feet feel like they are in heaven.

I have worn Birkenstock Bostons for over 35 years. They are my go to "relaxing" shoe when the weather is cool, and I wear them almost every day from fall to spring. This pair is replacing a well worn five year old pair. I like the oiled leather, and I prefer the feel of the traditional (not soft) footbed. Thanks Zappos for the great service too!

I wanted to love these shoes. However the footbed was too narrow and hard for my wide foot. The toe box was excellent.

I have bought several pair of these shoes. I am post polio (yes I got it the year the Salk vaccine came out. So that tells you polio is a life time disease) Birks are the only shoes I can wear. I have tried many other brands. My legs and feet bother me all of the time. By wearing the Birks I have less problem.

Good feeling Birkenstock’s and great to wear as slip ons when the yard is a little wet.

Fit and size are true. With my foot issues, Birkenstock is the way to go!

These birks fit true to size. They are great barefoot or with socks. Width is true to size also

Love Birkenstock and this clog. I have a high arch so I cannot wear most clogs but this has the adjustable strap so I can get a little more room which is perfect. I have these in three colors. Comfortable.

Returned these because I liked the fit and feel of the suede ones better.
