I've been wearing Birkenstocks since the early 70's and I now own 14 pair. Except for these Boston clog type Birks, all the rest I currently own are sandals. The only other time I owned clog type Birks was in the early 70's. The fit is perfect though if I wear socks with these the socks need to be on the thin side. Otherwise they fit as comfortably as do my sandal type Birks in the same size (46R).

Love my birks! They are so comfortable with or without socks. They never make my feet hurt even after wearing them all day!

Feel great on my feet. Just like all Birks they are wide! But the adjustable buckle helps pick up the slack and there's plenty of room for winter socks. These will be my slippers around the house as well as my go to shoe for dry days. Great alternative to a clog. Love the oiled leather.

The fit was slightly loose at the ankle. Adjusted that with the strap. Now fits really well. The arch support is excellent. The “bumps” in the sole at the ball of the foot give me a massawhen I walk.

A comfortable pair of clogs that I can slip into. The adjustment strap allowed me to create a snug fit. Great for the cold months.

The Birks are comfortable and work fine 3 1/2 of the year. They are not warm enough for snow/sleet and very cold temperatures; but are great for the rest of the time. They are dressy enough for the rest of year, except for very formal occasions.

They fit just like my Birkenstock sandals, and there is plenty of wiggle room for my toes. No rubbing.

My last pair of this particular shoe/brand lasted 10 years and probably would have lasted longer had my pet macaw not decided the cork was fun to chew. What I love about Birk's is that they are consistent in quality, style, size. And this pair ticks off all the boxes. I'll be wearing them in my art studio --away from my bird!

Seems a little wider than the pair I purchased several years ago.

Birkenstock oiled leather Boston (NOT soft footbed): Instant heaven for arch support. The WIDE width is a bit wide for barefoot use but perfect for winter with a thick sock. My sandal size is 8; shoe size is 8.5, sometimes even 9; width is between narrow and wide. I tried one size up (40), which was an inch too long. Please note that a BIRKENSTOCK purchased in Europe will be different: We measured my sister's 39 with my replacement, and my US 39 is 1/2" longer than her same style bought in Italy. Anyhow, love my Birkenstocks.

So comfortable but definitely have to make an adjustment from having free toes to a little foot prison
