Customer Reviews New Balance WW845

NB WW845 - Originally I ordered these in white and found them to be true to the reviews I read via Zappos (thx everyone and can't say enough about Zappos!). I ordered these in black also because I thought I found the perfect fit for my exercise routine and I suffer from Plantar Fasciitis, but I gave 4 stars because, only occasionally, they hit my arch in a funny way. Might be a personal issue! Also, ordered an 8 1/2 even though I'm an 8 and glad I did.

I ordered this shoe for the new orthotics I was getting. I like the wide toe box as it fits well with my bunion and hammer toe. This shoe fit true to size compared with the WW844 shoes that I just had. I have had many pairs of New Balance shoes and have always found them to be comfortable and they wear well.

Definitely helping - I have plantar fasciitis in both feet, and a heel spur on the right. My podiatrist mentioned New Balance, and these were recommended on a web site as being specifically for my conditions. There was some relief right away, which was great! I can feel that these definitely help. Unfortunately, recovery from pf is slow; you have to do all the exercises, apply ice, etc. But at least I no longer feel it's getting worse. And with the NB heel gel things, I can put weight on my heel again. Still doesn't feel like there's as much arch support as I'd like. My feet still hurt, but they're slowly getting better. I don't know why they can't make a shoe that looks nice *and* supports the foot. At least this one is all black and doesn't look too much like a sports car.

Comfy but short - I've worn New Balance for years and couldn't wait to try this new one. It's very comfortable even for very long walks, but my toe is right smack up against the tip of the shoe. This hasn't been a problem with previous New Balance models. It's not tight enough to get a half size up, but it's definitely shorter than I expected.

New Balance WW845 - I tried 3 different sizes and finally found that the proper size for length was a full size larger than normal. The other problem I encountered (once the length was OK) was a rubbing on the top of my foot. I never had that with any walking/running shoe before. There is lots of cushion but something was causing irritation at the top of my foot. I thought the larger size would correct it but it did not. I have a very narrow foot and wear orthotics. I'm not sure if that impacted it. I had to return the third pair and I gave up on this NB model.

This is not a good fit for me. I walk an average of 4 - 5 miles 4 times a week and I was looking for a shoe with good support for the ball of my foot. This did not meet my expectations.

I just bought these and had to send them right back. These are possibly the most unsupportive shoes that I have ever tried on. The bottom of the middle of my feet didn\'t even touch the bottom of the shoe.

Shoes had serious manufacturer's flaw in both left and right - I bought a pair for my wife. After a week or so of use she asked me to feel down inside the back of the heel on the inside. Sticking out under the thin cloth covering just above the sole on the inside was what feels like metal nails about a half inch or so long that would shortly be worn through the cloth. Obviously these were not to be protruding inside the shoe where they could poke into the bottom of the heel at the rear...Sorry, can't excuse this shoddy workmanship.

New Balance 845 remarks - I am very unhappy with the purchase of my New Balance 845 shoes - I wanted to order another pair of the 844's but since they were no longer available I ordered the 845. I have arthritis in my feet and these shoes don't compare to the great fit the 844's had - after walking on a treadmill for 45 minutes, the 845 make my feet burn and my back very sore - this never happened with the 844 - I wish I would have saved the box and receipt so I could return them.
