Thrilled with the 845 - I had just come back from Las Vegas, where I was in pain almost the entire time from doing so much walking. My friend who suffers from sever foot problems suggested the New Balance 845. I was skeptical but now I am a believer. I feel like a new woman that can now keep up with the rest in my new miracle shoes. Yee Haw!

WW845 with Orthotic - Sirs: I had tried this shoe on in the store and thought it the best to wear with my full & half orthotic. However, in wearing them around home I'm not yet convinced as after several hours my arch is very very uncomfortable and hurts. I'm thinking the last is too high. I'm looking for something else on your site with a more rounded toe and a lower last in a narrow size. I have not yet decided about keeping them and may yet return to you for something else to try. Any suggestions? Thanks for your great service!

Order a size or half-size larger than usual - Disappointed in sizing. I've been wearing New Balance for 20 years, but never this style. I have to send these back to Zappos because my usual size is too small. :(

Great walking shoe - I have been buying this shoe for 3 years (changed its # 3 or 4 times) A really excellent shoe for foot problems and walking a lot. And it benefits breast cancer!

Finally - relief! After having my second baby, my feet developed bunions and none of my shoes fit anymore. I was desperate to find something that didn't kill my feet. After some research I saw that these were recommended for over-pronation and so I thought I'd give them a try in both the standard and wide version. The standard version fit my right foot but rubbed against my left foot bunion so I stuck with the wide version. The support insert was good but I found when I replaced it with the Walking Company's aertex casual series orthotic insert it was a super-comfy shoe. The shoe did have a bit of a snug fit lengthwise but wasn't quite a half-size smaller. Now to find a shoe I can wear with other clothes that's this comfy and supportive. Thanks Zappos for having the shoe I need and allowing me to try both standard and wide versions w/ free shipping so I could get the right fit for me!

Comfort at last! I have looked for a long time for a walking shoe that would let me walk pain-free. (A bunion and foot surgery, as well as very sensitive feet have complicated the search.) These shoes run small; I had ordered 1/2 size larger than I usually wear and I had to return them to get a whole size larger. Zappos service continues to be amazing: both orders were at my door within 24 hours of placing them. The only other minor objection I have is that the toe box seems very prominent; on the other hand, my toes can wiggle freely and that is pure comfort so I'm willing to compromise a bit on style. If I could only take one pair of shoes with me, these would be the ones.

My Feet Loved These Shoes. I usually have lots of trouble with new shoes but these were great. I bought them for a vacation with lots of planned walking. My feet were never sore from the shoes.

Great work/walk shoes - I work 12 hour days as a health care professional. These shoes hold up great. Feel very light yet sturdy. This is the third pair I've purchased.

I had a stress fracture in my foot since May and have been dealing with it. Since I received these shoes I have been feeling much better. These shoes make it easier to walk. Received shoes very quickly.

I have a problem with heel spurs and plantar fasciitis and found this New Balance WW845 highly recommended for the condition. These have truly great support for the arch. However, they run smaller in size than other New Balance shoes. I had to return these, but had also ordered another style WW926. They fit more true to size than the WW845. Both styles are recommended for the foot condition. The 845 looks better than the 926, but seems to have much greater support and posture control than other styles. I highly recommend these to anyone with foot problems.

I have a very wide foot with a bunion. New Balance are the only quality tennis shoes that come in 2E. However, not all styles fit. It must be a rounded toe box. I also very much appreciate all reviews on shoes that I am considering purchasing. Many thanks.

Great shoe - New Balance is always very comfortable on my foot. This style has a bit extra room in toe box, which I need when walking. The arch support is likely good for most people. I have a very high arch, so use additional orthotic, and there is room for that in this shoe.

New Balance WW845 - I purchased the white/blue version of this shoe. I usually wear a 7.5 but needed an 8 in this shoe (and most athletic shoes). They are great walking shoes. I have heel pain and this shoe gives enough arch support that the pain is lessened a great deal. They are a bit pricey but worth it.

Nice shoes. Comfortable and stable. I bought the 2E and the base is wide enough that it keeps the shoe and my foot from rolling to the side. The shoe does look a little clunky, but it is a sports shoe and 2E width. The color is a lighter blue that goes with about any color scheme. Cons: I had to change the shoe laces. They weren't really long enough.

order big - I read the reviews and ordered a 1/2 size bigger and the wide - My toe touched the end of the shoe while standing. I would strongly recommend ordering an entire size larger. It would be nice if it wasn't so boxy, but I'll sacrifice look for comfort and support. We'll see if the 8 1/2 fits.

It didn't fit! :-( I wear a 13 in the New Balance running shoes, but when this arrived it was too small!!! I was SO disappointed!!!! The shoe was good-looking for boxy walking shoe, and was very comfortable. One foot is 1/2 size larger than the other, and that big toe just hits the front of the shoe.

I ordered this when I didn\'t see the 855 to use as a training shoe (mostly going to the gym). I ordered my 854 size (11AA) and it was too small in length. I finally found the 855 on the website and it fits in the 11 AA size so I would say this shoe runs short. I also hesitate to say it but I really don\'t want little pink ribbons on my stuff. I support my walking friends but pink has almost become synonymous with breast cancer. Maybe pink ribbons are a reason to buy for some but it is actually a turn off for me.

I have worn the New Balance 844's for several years. When I needed a new pair, they were not available so I ordered the 845. I wear an athletic orthotic insert with a raised heel. This shoe accommodates it but overall fit is significantly deeper and wider than the 844. While the shoe is comfortable, it is almost too big. Next time I will order try the regular width. As always the Zappos delivery was very fast! I used to buy shoes from retail outlets but haven't in recent years because it's so easy to order and return, if necessary, any shoe I need.

Best feeling shoe - This shoe has felt better on my feet than any other athletic shoe. It does run smaller than my normal size. My next order of the same shoe will be one size larger. I need it longer for my big toe. One half size larger is not enough for my long big toe. Zappos gave me wonderful service.

Good Walking Shoe - Due to my extra wide feet, New Balance is pretty much the only athletic shoe I feel comfortable with. While not the most attractive shoe, the NB WW845 gets the job done. It felt great right out of the box and had plenty of room for my orthotics. I put my pair to the test right away walking through the Philadelphia Flower Show and my feet felt great at the end of the day! Be aware that this style ran a half size small for me. I purchased a 7.5 2E instead of my usual 7 2E.

Comfy, but stylish not so much!! Well they fit great just like my NB 844-just put your orthotic in (if you need to like me) and you're good to go. I had no pain or comfort issues. My only gripe is the style changes. First, they added more of a mesh type fabric to the shoe on the tongue and to the sides-more areas for it to just get dirty faster-annoying. Also, the eyelets are weird- no matter how you try and lace up your shoe the laces get all twisted. Overall though since I'm on my feet for 12hr shifts at work I have to take comfort over style.

Better than Montrail Hardrock for wide feet - I am a woman who initially bought a men's Montrail Hardrock, but hated the color selection. I then went to the women's Montrail Hardrock (wide), which caused both of my big toes to bleed under the nail after a couple of week's wear, and I lost both nails as a result. I then decided to try these woman's wide New Balance size 11s. Now I finally have a pair of shoes that is a decent color (white), takes my orthodics without complaint, and leaves room for a full five toes on each foot! I just wish they had better arch support.

WW845 - I purchased these for work where I am on my feet on a hard surface all day. They ran slightly small so I had to send them back for a half size larger. Zappos was wonderful about it, even overnighted my second pair at no charge. I am used to wearing NB running shoes so the lack of arch support was somewhat disappointing. Certainly not the shoes fault though, just my choice as it is mandatory to wear an all black shoe at my place of employment. Zappos is great for competitive prices and excellent customer service. The latter is rare today!

Too big - I had to send these shoes back because I ordered them in an 8EE. My feet measure 7 and 7.5 and are very wide. People wrote so frequently on the site here that NB shoes run small and you should order bigger than your size. So I did. But, for me, this shoe was way too big and wide. I guess NB shoes don't always run big. I bought a pair (different style) locally in 7.5 EE and they fit well.
