I loved that the heel is covered, so I can wear it even if due for a pedicure...but makes my (regular 7.5) foot looks a bit wide as it cuts the width mid-foot. Maybe I'm too sensitive to that, but it does 'cut' the foot where it touches and I think it would have bothered me at the end of the day.

I have two other pairs of Danskos that I love. I'd been eyeing these for a few months before I bought them, because they're so cute. The problem is they hurt the top of my feet. I can't wear them two days in a row, because my feet get so sore that my body feels exhausted. Also, they don't walk as smoothly as my other Danskos, and I sound like I'm wearing flippers as I walk down the hall. Cute, yes. Comfy, not as much as I'd like. Also, if you know your European size, go with that. If not, go a size up from what is indicated.

Bought these at a mall-based store, needed them right away. Pretty comfortable, but like all Danskos, they are wide. I kind of "clop" around when I'm walking which is a little annoying. I like the shoe, it could be a little narrower however. (Wear a size 41, 40 was too short in length for my right foot).

Cute shoes. However, after wearing them several times they still give me blisters on my little toes and cut into the top of my foot. I have high arches so this could be the problem.

I'm an optician which means on your feet sales job. I loved every minute of the 6 months I've worn them except that the black is coming off the toe on both shoes. Now it looks more like tan/brown peeking thru. I paid too much for a shoe (which I only wear to and from work) to have defects this early. I'm disappointed and sad...I should also mention I have an extremely high arched foot and I have yet to find anything as comfortable.

Danskos are not for me. This is the second pair I tried. I had a pair of sandals and they ended up in the giveaway bag because they are just too wide. I have a flat, narrow foot and they do not stay stable on my feet. With the Sally I have to wear thick socks and put a pad at the ball of the foot to make them semi-comfortable. The arch support would be great for people with normal to high arches, but for me it is painful after a couple of hours. I really wanted these shoes to work, but I think I need to give up on Dansko because they really do not make shoes for narrow feet. My coworkers (teachers) love them and say they are the most comfortable ever. I am going to stick with Naot, which are more expensive but come in a narrow footbed. I may also try Born. I’ll keep these and wear them when I go out for a few hours, but I cannot tolerate them all day at work which is a big disappointment.

I love these shoes and have received many compliments on them. I'm a teacher, and they are super comfortable as well as cute. I'm only giving them 3 stars though, because I had to return my original pair: the elastic holding the buckle started to wear and perish after only 4 months! I have experienced this with other Dankso shoes but only after over a year and only when I don't undo the buckles and just slip my foot in (bad habit!). But I always unbuckled these shoes to take them off. In the end, though, my disappointment was ameliorated by Zappos' wonderful customer service - they took care of everything.

I thought I would love these as much as my other Dansko shoes, but I was disappointed in the arch support. They are the rubber sole type instead of the hard kind that the other clogs are made of.

I'm on my feet all day and these are not as comfortable as I expected. By the end of the day my feet are sore on the bottom. It could use more padding.

I love the look of this shoe! However, it's very narrow for a Dansko and not even long enough in my regular size. I'm a US 10 medium and usually wear a Dansko 40. My toes hit the very end of this shoe and it's incredibly uncomfortable paired with the narrow width. I'm ordering a 41 today and I hope that it has a better fit. I love this shoe so much that it will be incredibly disappointing to not be able to wear it after wearing every type of Dansko for over 10 years now.

Danskos are Just Not for Narrow Feet - I've tried Dansko shoes a couple times, and each time had to return them. Unfortunately, they naturally run a bit wide, which shouldn't surprise you if you view them from the top - they all have that rounded, ping-pong-paddle look. Keens are the same way. I like that look and once or twice have found a shoe that was still slim enough for my narrow feet - but no go with Dansko. These are even wider than normal. I dinged them a point on comfort not for the wideness but for the poor arch support. Dansko is known for excelling in this category, but the Sally does not fit the bill. I guess it makes sense because it's an open-arch shoe, and a huge arch support would show. But still. I wish I could love Dansko! But don't waste your time, O Narrow-Footed People of the world.

Just a word of warning about the "black brush off" - I loved these shoes when I first got them several months ago. They were instantly comfortable and my problem feet were so relieved! They were my first pair of Danskos and I was looking forward to wearing them for a long time based on their reputation. I have worn them with jeans, skirts, and trousers for work. HOWEVER, they are about to go in the "weekend only" shoes because the brush-off leather gets scuffed around the toes and I can't clean or polish them off. I had to resort to taking a black magic marker to them before a meeting because it looked like I didn't keep my shoes polished. Perhaps in another color that was REAL leather I might feel differently, but I'm extremely disappointed in the Dansko "quality" that I paid for.

Adorable, but painful! These shoes are so cute in person, but unfortunately for me, excruciatingly painful! I have never tried Danskos before, and based on what others have said about them being perfect for people who are on their feet a lot, I decided to try them. I selected this look because I have a need for a slightly dressy shoe for work, and in that regard they are great. The color, Cordovan, goes with black, tan or jeans nicely. They do have a nice amount of padding in the insole; however, the area just behind the toes is VERY tight and narrow with no wiggle room. I do not have wide feet, but I do have flat feet, and a bunion on my left foot which made things more uncomfortable, but even my right foot was hurting badly after wearing them for several hours. I recommend trying them only if you have a normal arch and narrow foot. I'm sad to not be able to wear such a cute shoe, but hopefully others will have better luck with them than I did!

So cute . . . but so tight across the instep - I am so disappointed. I ordered the Sally in cordovan, certain that my usual 38 would be just right since I had tried a pair of these in a department store. (I also tried a 39, but it slipped, and I don't think this style of Dansko is supposed to do that.) When they arrived, they were so cute that I wore them around the house for an hour or so just admiring them, and they felt great. The next day, I wore them to work, and by day's end, the pressure on the top of my foot and sides of my outer toes was killing me! I will try to get these stretched since I can't return them. I would suggest wearing them for many hours on carpet to "test drive" these first, but I fear that if you have wide feet or a high instep, these may not be the shoes for you, no matter how pretty they are.

Not the typical Dansko comfort - I have been a big fan of Dansko for years, but am not so pleased with these. I really love the look of the shoe and the color of the cordovan leather. But the footbed isn't the same and my foot slides forward with every step (in part because of the increased cushion in the sole), jamming my toes into the end of the shoe. By the end of a day of walking, my feet ache, something that never happened with my other stapled clog Danskos. I don't think they are much worse than most commercial brand shoes, but certainly a step down for Dansko.

Yes, a light and cute shoe. However, the instep is tight-don't try this shoe if you have a higher than normal instep, which I have. Shoe fits snug to size, I'm an 8.5 and the size 39 should accommodate me, but it was snug.

These are cute clogs! However they are painful as well. The tops rub into my feet and the left shoe felt bigger. Strange, that never happened. So sad for Danskos.

I hate this shoe. I had to take it to the shoe shop to have it stretched. Too tight across the top of the foot, one shoe only. I stand all day at work and my feet do not feel good at the end of the day. It feels short as well. I'm going back to Naot. I bought this because I thought it was a good shoe for comfort and for support. Big mistake. I'd send these shoes back if I thought Zappos would take them. I don't blame Zappos for this as they give excellent service.

I want to love these shoes, because I love Danskos, but they are just too tight across the big toe joint. I almost feel like the widest part of my foot doesn't fit on the footbed of the shoe. I'm so disappointed because I really want a stylish and very comfortable brown shoe to wear with skirts or dresses. Why is this so hard to find? I'm afraid to keep these shoes and stretch them because at this price, I'll be very disappointed if it doesn't work.

Okay, bought my first pair of Danskos maybe 6-7 years ago after foot surgery and still wear them today (I also have a "falling arch" so I need arch support and firm shoes!). I used to twist my ankle frequently in these in the beginning which freaked me out, but now its only occasional. I think I may be in between sizes also wear 38s but probably need 37.5. Wanted to expand my Dansko Collection so I thought, a mary janes style would be cute and more versatile with dresses, a colleague at work has these in 2 colors and she seemed to like them. Me, not so much. Not the same platform as the clogs. Runs small so my toes must touch the end, so they are achy at the end of the day. And they will not stop squeaking! One day it's the right shoe then it's the left shoe. Drives me nuts! Also there is extra foot sweating action going on so I loosened the strap so the foot can breathe more. My feet do not feel Zen as it does at the end of the day of wearing the clogs. What's the point of wearing these silly looking shoes if I am not going to have non-achy feet at the end of the day? Just ordered some Marcelle's and regular clogs by Saritas instead of Dansko. Read here that they are the original Danskos makers, which I think my original clogs are. Will write a review on those when I get them!

I have 2 pairs of Dansko clogs that I love to death. I needed comfy shoes for the office that looked a little cuter. These looked like elf shoes on me. The front end tips up a little, which make them look odd. I'm returning these and trying a pair of Privos. But Zappos service was excellent (as always).

These shoes are attractive, but so terribly narrow. I have owned four pairs of Danskos over the years. I wear them to work as I am on my feet for long periods of time. I thought these would be a nice addition to my work shoe collection. I thought wrong. I read other reviews about the 'Sally' being narrow and I gave them a try anyway. I couldn't wear them for more than an hour. They were so painfully tight, and I could tell that the leather wasn't going to loosen any time soon. It is too bad because they are cute, lightweight, and have more cushioning than normal Danskos. I'm searching for another pair of shoes. Bummer.

Wow, all those gold stars, and I can't even put these on my feet without pain. I have tried to like them. I love the way they look. I wear nothing but Danskos! But here are the problems: They are too tight across the instep. The toe box is narrow in the extreme, compared to Professionals and does not accommodate a problem with a large toe joint. There is pressure on the metatarsal which does not happen with clogs. Even with the ankle strap, the shoe does not provide the "rolling" affect that Danskos are known for, the rolling that distributes the weight of your body evenly over your foot. This is why those of us with feet problems swear by them. So I think they will be going on Ebay because I took them to a shoe repair shop and had them stretched and it still didn't help. I have to say, I LOVE my Maes in Red. Very cute Mary Jane style and feel like walking on pillows. If I could give them less than 1 star for comfort, I would.

I am on my feet for about 16 hours a day and loved these shoes until both of them split all the way across the bottom of the shoe all the way through the sole. They both split in exactly the same place and there is a metal piece inside the shoe right where they split, so I\'m guessing it is a design problem. I love danskos but don\'t recommend this shoe. \r\n

I am a longtime Dansko wearer but was disappointed in this shoe. The Mary Jane style is attractive enough, but the materials and execution were wanting. The leather, in particular, was stiff and felt scratchy on the inside. Overall, the shoe had a cheap look and feel. The lower quality of this shoe was especially evident when compared to the Dansko Moriah clog sandals that I had also purchased in the same order -- these are of much higher quality leather and workmanship. The Moriah is made in a different country than the Sally.
