These shoes are function over form. I'm fine with that and I actually think they are cute in a funky way. They do take quite awhile to break in though so don't do on any long walks straight away or you will have serious blisters. Also, order a full size larger than you usually wear.

Comfy but hard to figure out sizing -
I love my MBTs, but it took me 3 pairs to get the right size. They definitely work my hips and glutes in a great way- I've been walking 5 miles a day and am seeing amazing results. They take some getting used to, but I definitely love them. It's just the sizing that is a problem- they run a full size smaller than my normal size!

This is THE walking shoe of the new millennium. Comfort and style and a work out just by the motion of putting one foot in front of the other. Excellent shoe.

CUTE SHOES -
I wore these shoes at work for 12 hours. My arches hurt a little, so I put some OTC orthotics in them. That hurt A LOT worse, so I took them out. I can feel the effect in my gastrocs but not in my glutes at all. Maybe I'm not walking right in them. I like them for work. Haven't used them to work out in, though. I'd like to try them for that.

MBT vs. Arthritis -
I ordered my MBT's because a friend said that the shoe actually helped alleviate the arthritis pain in her joints when she walked. I was skeptical of course and because of the price I almost didn't order a pair. Do not let the price scare you away! The price is worth it to get around in less pain! The first week I wore my MBT's I had no pain in my hips at all, though I still experience a little pain in my knee after wearing the MBT's that pain is not nearly as extreme and I have no pain at all when going from a sitting to standing position in these shoes. All good things have a down side right? The shoes are heavy about 1.5 lbs each for this style. Also, I am glad I read the reviews of others and ordered a full size larger than my normal size because that is a perfect fit. I have a wide toe area and the shoes are perfect there but they do slip a little in the heel - not enough to make blisters though.

This MBT style is rigid and narrow.
I LOVE MBT- the philosophy, the exercise- everything, basically, except these shoes. The M Walk style is short & narrow (hence ordering up a size). When a full size up didn't work, I went to an MBT store to see what my options were. While the M Walks are the tiniest, most mainstream sneaker-looking shoe, they will crush your feet and give you unbelievable blisters if they're too small. Moral of the story- if you have ANY width to your foot, slight bunions, etc steer toward the Chapa or Sport. Additionally, my first MBT blisters (as many others have mentioned) did not occur until 2 miles into my regular walk. Wear them extensively at home before you throw away the box!
MBT is the best!

MBT's -
Did not feel any real difference in muscles used like MBT indicated I would. They are very comfortable though and I have only been wearing for a couple of weeks so may see some shape improvement later! Top is cute as can be but the bottoms are just too high for me to say they look good on. I did not buy them for the looks though so overall I like the shoe.

MBT"S -
We love Zappos, they always deliver in every way. This shoe is very nice but very wide. I have a narrow foot and they do not offer in narrow. I knew that and ordered anyway. I feel the technology is well done. They give you a work out.

Review of Sport MBTs -
This truly is a great walking shoe, but it takes some getting used to… so recommend short walks to build into it. The heel area is rigid, so use extra padding. I would recommend this shoe to people who walk for exercise.

MBT M. Walk -
I bought the regular MBT and they are comfortable shoes but a far as toning your legs, I needed to buy the boost (next level up). I'm fitness professional and they are too easy for someone who works out on a regular basis. If you workout a lot don't buy the regulars jump up to the next level.

Definitely a workout! You will definitely need to order at least a full size larger than what you normally wear. The shoe is very comfortable and it is actually easier to walk since the bottom of the shoe is rounded. It gives you a good workout, it feels like you are constantly walking uphill!

They are okay -
I like these shoes for the idea, but don't really know if they deliver results. I've used them a few times and definitely felt my muscles, but just a little.

Looks Silly, Feels Great -
When I first saw MBT's on a stand in the mall, I nearly giggled. They looked awful, with enormous puffy soles that just about screamed "ORTHOPEDIC!". And at 200$ or more per shoe... I thought you'd have to be crazy to buy into that crap. And then I came down with knee problems. And suddenly, I was looking for anything that could help. One of the shoe's claims is that it may help you to lose weight. I have no idea if this is true. What I *do* know is that the squishy sole really took some of the initial pressure/impact from my knees, and the extra pain went away. They run small. I usually wear 9.5US in sneakers, but I needed to pick up a 10 for this. They also seem to run a bit wide, but I have narrow feet, so take that for what it's worth. I recommend these shoes for people who have tried other walking/running shoes and are experiencing pain or discomfort due to impact or misalignment issues like flat feet or poor posture. They're expensive, but if you've tried everything else and you're still hurting, these are fantastic shoes.

MBT Walk -
The shoe takes some getting used to. The most uncomfortable part is where the lace-up ends that can feel very tight even if you are not making a tight knot. As far as looks, they look like moon shoes. I have not wore them enough to see if all the benefits to the feet and back are true. Your feet will sweat more than usual. I did notice some mild soreness on the back of my legs the first day which is a good sign but then again it may be from my personal trainer. I wore them comfortably for 8 hours the first day and my feet did feel kind of like floating when I switched to the regular gym shoes.

Still waiting (weighting) for results...
Confession: The hype got to me. I bought the shoes because everything I'd read (written by those who would profit) sounded great. The world's smallest gym...Condense hours of working-out into minutes...Cellulite be gone! What Mommy of two (who still looks pregnant, and her youngest is walking) wouldn't fall prey to such alluring claims? At first, I was in-love! Yes, the size ran a bit smaller than I had expected which caused minor to moderate pain post stroll, but these shoes were my ticket to weightloss and beauty! I've suffered far worse pains in the name of beauty...(Are you sure it's perfectly safe to wax *there*?) After several weeks, my dedicated use has diminished. My calves appear larger, making my short legs stalky; my cellulite is still perfectly puckered; and I've managed to gain weight. Sigh. To be fair, it's probably more me than the shoes. I have a complete and utter lack of control when it comes to food. Deep sigh. I think I'll console myself by putting on the shoes and walking to the nearest bakery.

Great service!
Your service was wonderful. I received my order in 2 days. Then had to return it to size up a half size. Returning it was very easy process. Then the new order came in the next day. I also am very happy with the quality of the shoe.

Great sneakers- be wary of the fit!
I normally wear a 7 so I bought a 7. Not very comfortable. I wore them on my treadmill and I have never had sneakers that gave my feet burning and pain before. And blisters. Whoa.
I exchanged them for a 7 1/2. A half a size up makes a world of difference! I love these now. They are fun to walk in though they kind of look to me like 'moon boots' ;). After a 20 min walk in these, I actually broke a sweat. Cool.

Great idea and certainly worth a try...unfortunately I can't give as thorough a review as I'd like because I haven't been able to wear them consistently for two reasons...very narrow toe box that squishes and they heat up pretty quickly. I did feel a definite shift in the way I held myself and certain muscles get used more. Also there was improvement in knee and lower back, but the size runs really snug, so I had to get a 9 instead of my usual 7.5 or 8 and again, the toe box is just too narrow, for me anyway. So I'm giving them to a friend and hopefully they'll work for her. I'd try them again in a heartbeat if they designed a fuller toe area. Zappos you rock!

Another pair of sneakers like the Sketchers shape-ups that helped me in developing plantar fasciitis. For those of you out there with severe under-pronation like me, this may not be the sneaker for you. Very uncomfortable, although they look great.

Normally wear 9 1/2 and 10, ordered 10 1/2 and they fit perfectly. They make me want to walk more because they are so comfortable and fun, but super ugly! I wouldn't wear them with a normal outfit, but they are great for walking. Haven't decided if they are worth the money yet; I would say most likely.

The jury is still out -
I have been wearing these shoes for two weeks now, but am still undecided how I feel about them. I had to return the first pair which were a half size larger than my normal, for a whole size larger - I wish they would sort out their sizes, the European equivalents weren't right either. I wear them for an hour a day, in the hope of toning up my body, when walking my dog, and have certainly noticed increased muscle activity in my legs and backside. The said parts still ache, I'm wondering just how long it will take to become used to walking in them. I'd hoped they would get to the stomach muscles too, but haven't noticed anything there. I didn't read anywhere how heavy they are. Taking them off is wonderful, like removing ski boots! Ugly, heavy, expensive - they had better start delivering up the promised benefits!

Not much in the looks department. I read about it in one of the Zappos digests and decided to try it. I usually wear 9.5, but I ordered 10.5 based on all the reviews I read. At first they fit well, but they have loosened up to the point where they are now too big, especially on my left foot. They take some getting used to, but except for the size issue, I like them. I also feel like my legs and hamstrings get a better work out while walking in them. I will buy them again, but will definitely get them just a half size bigger than what I normally wear instead of a full size bigger.

Not sure yet if I made the right purchase -
Well, I made the $250+ plunge to buy these shoes. Since my main form of exercise is walking it made sense to make the investment. My first (and so far only) walk in them was disastrous. The shoes caused severe blisters on my heels that has taken almost 3 wks to heal. I'm hesitant to get back in them again but I have to! I'm not letting $250 sit around for nothing. Anyway, I had bought a size larger and should have bought a size and half larger. They definitely run small, are stiff and be careful walking up/down stairs. The stiffness and rocking motion of the shoe make potential for a fall. I'm hoping these shoes will work out in the long run.
