Not for high arches! I have very high arches (high instep) and mild hammertoes, so I need shoes with a lot of depth. This boot was recommended as good for high arches on several other websites. I normally wear anywhere from a size 7 to 8 depending on brand/style, so I ordered these in a 7 since everyone says Uggs run large. (I've never worn Uggs before.) The length of the boot was perfect; however, it was painfully tight across the top of my feet and toes! (It was so tight I knew I'd have to size up a lot to make it fit, and then it'd be too long.) Definitely NOT a style for anyone with a high instep. I was also disappointed to find that the fuzzy insole was glued down -- if you have orthotics you'd have to rip out the insole (although you'd have to have really flat feet to fit orthotics in these boots!). But even if the boots had fit, I really doubt they'd be comfortable -- the sole was as stiff as a board and very uncomfortable to walk in, and with every step the leather above my toes creased and dug into my toes. For looks, these boots are a little nicer looking than classic Uggs, but the chunky, flat sole and wide, rounded toe makes them very casual -- I would definitely only wear them with jeans. Thankfully Zappos has free return shipping!

Shedding Uggs - I bought this pair of Uggs (my second) from Zappos- who is wonderful as always, but the sheep's wool has rubbed off leaving big patches of bare spots in the boot. I am so disappointed because they would be fantastic if they were just a little more well put together. I wear them without socks and have probably worn them 10-12 times. I still wear them, but put on socks to keep my feet from rubbing on the uncomfortable non-fuzzy parts.

Not a fan... Although this is a very cute shoe, I didn't love it. They aren't as comfortable as the Ugg Classics - I could feel the zipper on the inside, but my friend loves them so it's just a personal choice.

A serious UGG - I wanted to buy a pair of UGGs but I liked the Mayfaire style much better then the ones that I see on the street almost every day.. I thought it looked more serious than the classic one. But when I tried them they looked very stylish and didn't go with my comfortable clothes... So this particular style didn't work for me but if you're working and want stylish boots these would be perfect... I generally wear 7 and got these boots size 6 but they were extremely tight, so I say go with your regular size.

I ordered the Mayfaire at the beginning of cold weather and found they were not up to par with the feeling Classic Uggs impart. They were stiff, heavy, bulky, uncomfortable and the zipper was placed in such a way that I had trouble getting my feet into one of the boots, and the same problem occurred in the removal process. I had to return them and order another pair of Classic Uggs.

Not nearly as comfortable as classic Ugg. The side zipper is very uncomfortable. I would not recommend these boots nor would I purchase them again.

These Ugg boots are terrible. Last winter I had classic short Ugg boots and I loved them. They always kept my feet warm. If I was in a hot room my feet wouldn't even sweat! In these though... my feet sweat whether I'm out in the freezing cold or sitting in a warm room. I have high arches and the moment I put these on I felt uncomfortable. The material they're made of has some hard stuff inside, so it's not as soft as your normal uggs. I was hoping they would stretch but they didn't. The sheep fur inside doesn't feel anything like the classic uggs. It seems cheaper somehow and less comfortable to the touch. Yes, they're better looking than the classic but when your feet hurt and sweat, none of that matters. I bought them in November and I still hate wearing them. Too bad I spent all my money on this junk and now I'm forced to wear sneakers. Should have bought the classic again.

First lets talk about the Mayfaire Ugg boot. I got these boots first I wanted something that was different than the same old same old drone typical Ugg boot that everybody and their mother had. I loved the look of the Mayfaire & being a first time Ugg buyer I just thought every Ugg would be comfortable; this is not the case. The Mayfaire looks great, but they are extremely stiff in the ankle to the point that you can't even bend your ankle when you walk! I thought you have got to be joking! So after much debate I switched them for the Ugg classic tall and I knew right away as soon as I put my foot in them, oh yeah, like a cushiony silky cloud. I got rid of the box because I knew they were not going back! For me, I would save myself the time and unless you are a size two stay away from the Mayfaire; they need to go back to the drawing board on this one!
