They squeak and it won’t go away. A little heavy for me too. Can’t return them now, so I’ll probably donate them. Disappointing

I found these extremely challenging to get into and out of...so much so that it caused knee problems. The shoe is so stiff and the tongue is so short. They felt heavy and looked terrible. I would have kept them despite their appearance if the comfort and ease factor had been there. Sadly I'm returning them, just can't see struggling everyday to put my shoes on!

A very stiff and ugly shoe. Made me feel 95 years old. Have the manufacturers EVER considered style!?! it was hard to put on, unyielding. I wanted a walking shoe, this is for someone using a walker.

I don’t like to write a bad review. Look of shoe average . Quality of show wonderful. Fit great. Comfortable. My only complaint is they are described as slip resistant. They are so not slip resistant!!!! Please take this out of description. Wouldn’t suggest these as work shoes!

I ordered these for $120.00 and they came with no insoles. Not happy right now. I would think Zappos would inspect the shoes they send out. I've never had any issues but this right here is a big no-no. Part of the shoe's description says, "Comfortable textile lining and a cushioned removable insert that can easily accommodate orthotics." I guess the person who returned them took and kept the insoles/inserts. So, it's hard to write a true review when I can't wear the shoes I bought.

I successfully wear the sneaker version of this, but this shoe is too stiff to even walk around my house. The tongue is digging into my ankle. It's going back.

I really wanted to like this shoe but it just doesn't fit me the way a Brooks Ghost does. I think the padding would be great but it sits way too high on my ankle.

unattractive. Doesn't compare to the current Addiction which I love! Runs wide, large. Not as comfortable insole.

Wanted to like these, but they weren't comfortable on my feet. No real arch support either, and by the time I got my orthodics in, I had no room for my feet.

This shoe is so stiff and uncomfortable. I have never bought any size other than what I ordered and I scraped my heels just putting the shoe on. Impossible to ever walk in.

I have worn other Brooks shoes - running shoes, never the Walker. This shoe is stiff and rubs on my toes. It is not at all soft. It's uncomfortable and does not provide for a normal gait - more of a "flat-footed" stride. I am desperate to find a good walking shoe that is not too sneaker-y looking, but this is not it.

I actually felt these shoes were TOO supportive. The sole was very, very stiff and difficult to walk in. I wore them for hours in my house and they never felt any differently. In fact, they caused pain in the lateral area of my arch because of their inflexibility. Unattractive as well...another person compared them to a loaf of bread and while I chuckled when I read that I have to agree with that description. I usually wear Brooks Ariel and thought that since I've worn them for 10+ years (and have aged during that time) that perhaps a more supportive walking shoe vs. the Ariel (which is a running shoe) would be even better. For me, that wasn't the case...I'm going to stick with Ariel.

This shoe was massive on. It looked like Frankenshoe so was happy to return it as it wasn't comfortable enough to overcome how unattractive it was on my feet.

I hate these shoes. The fit is adequate, but they are clunky, stiff, and have no flexibility to them. I had to insert Dr. Scholl's gel inserts to get any cushioned comfort. Even that doesn't really help. Over time, the heel area has rubbed through so there are worn circles on the inside of the material through to the outer material. About the only positive thing I can say about this shoe is that the base of the shoe is pretty solid and enduring. But this solidity, I think, is what makes the shoe so unforgiving and inflexible. I can't wait till I can get a new walking sneaker that will give me comfort, flexibility, and a thick base that doesn't wear out too soon. When that day comes, these are in the trash!

Too narrow in arch area even with my narrow feet and not soft enough for my 'bony' flat feet. Toe area is roomy. Not as soft as the Saucony - pull out the pad inside and feel how hard this shoe is.

These shoes are comfortable and fit well. However, beware if wearing on any wet surface. I was wearing them on vacation, walking down a slight grassy slope and my feet slipped out from under me. I dislocated and broke my ankle in the fall. I don't believe I would have fallen if I had been wearing shoes with some traction. These do not have it!

I bought these shoes about 4 weeks ago. Have tried wearing them for 2 weeks at my job where I stand on my feet for 10+ hours a day and they are horrible ! I purchased because I was having trouble with my left heel and a friend said she bought these when she had heel problems and they worked for her. Big mistake, by the end of my 10 hours of work not only is my left heel killing me but my right foot is in excruciating pain also ! Had I bought them from the shoe store I could of returned them, but Zappos return policy is only good for "Unworn" shoes in the original box. Extremely expensive investment for a pair of shoes I could only stand to wear for 2 weeks. Live and learn !

Not pleased. These were recommended to me by my Pediatrist. I'm a RN and stand on my feet for 10+ hours. I also suffer from PF and bunions plus I have flat feet. Horrible combination for my profession. That being said I did not like these shoes. I ordered a W and felt they were too narrow in the toes. The arch is modest and I felt like I was wearing an old lady shoe. So far my the best shoe I've worn for my feet is a Mary Jane in Allegria which come in wide.

I am now on my second pair of these sneakers in a month. I switched to the Addiction Walker, after having the same problem with the Brooks Ariel; namely that they just wear out too quickly. I don't know if they have changed the materials that they are using, but I have been wearing Brooks for years and have not had this problem until recently. I even contacted Brooks directly, and the response I got was, "...it's time for a new pair of sneakers..." Not an answer to my question, but they did include a coupon if I wanted to order from their site. (I didn't. I ordered again from Zappos because of their stellar service.) The Addiction Walker has much better support than the Ariel. I had been fitted at two impressive stores, both which had recommended the Ariel, even though they knew I was not planning on running. (One was Marathon Sports in Boston, known for their ability to fit people and the time they spend finding the right fit.) And, as I said, for a long time there was no problem. I don't think that I will keep buying the Brooks, as at the price, I can't afford to replace them every month/month and a half. A friend suggested Skechers, and after reading the reviews on Zappos, I just purchased my first pair. I am hopeful that they will offer good support and will not wear down after such a short time.

I bought these shoes looking for a replacement for the (Perfect Shoe) the Cherokee Rocker Achiever that they no longer make. These shoes are ugly to look at, but I'm more about comfort since I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and previous problems with Plantar Fasciitis (before I found Cherokee Rocker Achievers). These shoes feel good through the heel and arch; however, after wearing the shoes for two days, I'm getting pain in the ball of my foot. The heels don't seem to be too high, so apparently there is not enough padding in the ball of the foot area. They also seem very stiff.
I'd also recommend:

Size and width is way smaller for the Brooks Addiction Walker Brand. Disappointed. Arch support is stiff and not comfortable.

It's a bit stiff. Probably won't buy it again. But it was the only show that I could find that was non canvas required to work in a hospital.

Not a bad shoe, but not for me. First off, I did not think it was true to width. I ordered 2E and it was really more like an E. Then, the other thing that was unacceptable was the weight of this sneaker -- so heavy, like it had steel in the soles somewhere (maybe it does). It felt like a combat boot. Sorry. Really was looking for a winner here, but this did not do it for me.
