This shoe is really unattractive. I did not spend much time trying the show on, as I did not like the look.

These shoes were just not for me. I bought my usual size, 10-1/2 EE. They fit okay but looked clunky, large/big on my feet. I agree the heel comes up higher than I am used to; am concerned it will rub. Also felt that it would stretch a little then would become too big for my foot since it is all leather.

I have worn this shoe about 11 years...always bought the White. Now I can't find it in White. Instead their white is a white sole with the top leather sort of a light bone. On one site I saw it listed as "White and Sock Bundle." I will be sending them back.

After reading all the positive reviews, I had high hopes for these shoes. Few shoes are offered in narrow width and these are, which sealed the deal for me. However, the narrow was still too roomy in the toe box, and my left shoe was loose in the heal. So I am returning them. Comfort wise, they are very cushiony and supportive. The good news is that my husband ordered the same shoe, medium width, and they fit snuggly, but comfortably. He is keeping them.

Once again I want to give Zappos five stars for service while at the same time giving fewer stars to the product. Zappos is great! I cannot give Brooks five stars, but not because the Addiction Walkers are not good shoes. They are among the best walking shoes I have ever had. The issue is quality control. This time around I had to sent the first pair back because the left shoe was a lot smaller than the right. Zappos replaced them with a matching pair. At the price of these shoes I expect more quality and less inconvenience. My ratings are based on the defective left shoe of the first pair. Sorry, Zappos.

My husband said they look like "old man shoes" - yes they do, returning. Try Fit Flops if you are looking for a comfort shoe.

I had to get the EE width to fit my orthotics. They are comfortable, but lets just say they are less than stylish.

I can see that these would offer great stability and support for walking, but I had a few issues that people with feet like mine might want to know about. I have very wide, flat feet. On the good side, there is PLENTY of room in the forefoot for wide feet + bunions + toes. However, I found the arch support was too much for my flat feet and put uncomfortable pressure on the bottom of my foot. There is very little flexibility in the sole and the shoe is heavier than I imagined. They also felt about a half size larger than marked. I ordered a 10 WW, which is my usual size in Propet and SAS, and in this style this size felt longer than any other size 10 shoes I normally wear. My heel slipped and I was afraid I might trip over them. I would have exchanged them for a 9.5, but the mismatch between the insole and my flat feet made me think this is just not the style for me. I am going to stick with the Propet Washable Walker instead.

Changes. I have owned this shoe 7 other different times; only shoe that helps my plantar fasciitis and flat wide feet. The quality has gone way down since 2013. I had a pair earlier this year and wore out in 3, instead of 6, months and bottom slippery and flat. I thought I would give one more try and it seems to have improved except more narrow than previous model.

I thought the Addiction Walker would help with my plantar fasciitis condition. It did not improve it much. I kept the shoes because I wore them outside to give them a fair try, otherwise I would have returned them.

This is my time trying Brooks - I usually wear Saucony. I ordered 1.5 times my size larger in a wide width. The heel felt very stable and had good cushion. The shoe is ugly, which I was willing to overlook if it cradled my foot correctly. Unfortunately, the shoe was very tight across my foot, and I was only able to slip on after completely loosening the laces, which left me with barely enough laces to tie the shoe (the laces are very short). I am returning the shoe, and returning to Saucony.

I do not know why these shoes continue to get high marks. The quality has gone way down. This is probably my sixth pair of these shoes. I have been buying them for the last three years. They usually last me about six months before my feet start hurting and have to get a new pair. This pair wore out in less than three months with no change in my activities. They are just not made with same quality in the soles. Something cheap is in there now that does not hold up.

Too large. Larger than my Brooks Dyad 8 using the same size. Shoe is very comfortable, but I think it is the ugliest shoe in the world for women. Would have preferred a tan or dark brown buck.

I really wanted to love this walking shoe after reading all of the positive reviews. The extra wide felt like a wide, so the toebox was very comfortable. After wearing them, walking on rugs, I've decided they are too heavy for me. If you are a sales clerk or waitress I think these would be perfect since they are very supportive and have a thick sole. Sorry to say I'm returning them! I LOVE Zappos!!

I love these shoes but unfortunately for me, realized too late that they run short! Will order a half size larger though - worth the cost.

I got these shoes one week ago and already my toe nails are turning black from walking in them. I think they either run a half size to small or it's because they are leather and don't give when you walk in them. I guess I have to try again. I have loved my Brooks running shoes but I no longer "run." Want to walk in comfort.

Shoe is comfortable. Because I have a high instep the laces are too short. I have bought laces for other Brooks shoes, but it is a pain!

Did not help with pronation. I have to use my own orthotics with this shoe. Also has a very stiff sole like a hiking boot.

Having worn the Brooks Addiction running shoe this summer, I have to say that these are rather disappointing. I bought these for fall/winter walking. The bottom has very little grip - be careful on slick surfaces. My feet are narrow and I overpronate. After about 2 weeks, my right foot has already started to slide off to the side of the shoe - too late to return them. They do not have as much cushioning in the sole as the running shoe. For me, this shoe was not worth the money.

These shoes are made of such a stiff material, that it felt like I had my feet cast in plaster. And, as ridiculous as it seems, the shoe strings are not long enough to even tie into a bow! What is up with that?

I hoped this beige shoe would look better than sneakers for a trip to Chicago, but it screams "old lady orthopedic" to me. Although I added Copper Superfeet for extra cushioning and arch support, pounding the pavement still took its toll on my feet, so I had to stop and sit every hour. On the positive side, here is plenty of room in the toe box even in a narrow width.

This shoe toe box is generous, but the instep is very short. I ended up with top of foot pain after wearing this shoe for a couple of days. I do have flat feet, and I walk toes out...so maybe that is the reason why this shoe was so uncomfortable. Took me a week to recover from the pain. Went with the New Balance 840 Running Shoe. Also, there are no holes, for breathing, so the shoe gets really hot and feet wet and stinky.

I wish Brooks would make an Addition Walker for people with high arches who do not overpronate. I wish Brook's would make a dress shoe. I've worn Brook's Walker's for 10 years since they are so comfortable for walking with my wide feet and narrow heels; however Brook's shoes are not structured safely for someone like me who has a neutral foot and does not overpronate. The shoe pushes the foot outward and causes me to roll my foot outward resulting in 4 ankle sprains this year. I'm looking elsewhere but Brooks makes good shoes.

It's difficult to rate this shoe fairly because it is designed for people who pronate badly and have flat feet, according to my conversation with a representative from the Brooks Company. That information is not on Zappos website so they didn't realize it was the wrong shoe for me. It hurt my feet, knee and created shin splints. I pronate some and have a normal arch so problems were created by an incorrect shoe. It is probably a good shoe for the right feet. Zappos credited my account for the shoes and couldn't have been more helpful or eager to make everything right. Hard to find customer service like this these days.
