I have this shoe in all three colors. It is the most comfortable, supportive shoe that I have ever put on my feet. I only wish -- and this is a big wish -- that it came in more fashionable colors and had a little more zing to it. However, since comfort is the most important thing to me, I will keep buying this model.

These shoes are like putting on a concrete block taped to your foot. I have arthritis in my back and the shoes would be too heavy to wear for any length of time. I had purchased them to wear to on trip to Europe this fall.

Took forever to get my foot into shoe & had to use long handle shoe horn. I had a hard time being bent over trying to adjust laces to fit my foot. The tongue of shoe seemed fluffy & got in way of shoelaces . Shoe did appear well made but very heavy & unattractive for a woman .

I have a narrow flat foot, and it is difficult for me to find comfortable shoes. The Brooks Addiction Walker is giving me excellent support. This is the first time that I have worn Brooks shoes in many years. I frequently wear Saucony, Easy Spirit and New Balance shoes. I would say that the Brooks Addiction Walker is fractionally shorter in length. It is true to size, but more snug in the toe. Sometimes I feel the toe rub a bit. I wear orthotics, and the orthotics did fit into the Brooks shoes of my normal size. I like the support on the sides of the shoes and the cushioning in the sole of the shoe. If you have flat feet that pronate, this is a good choice for a shoe with support.

I've been buying this shoe online for years to accommodate my custom foot orthotics. The quality of the shoe has been consistent until this year. I just returned a new pair for quality control issues. Stitching around the tongue on top was sloppy, white foam under the leather wasn't trimmed evenly with the leather, and the leather in some places on top of the shoes looked hastily cut and sewn. The second replacement pair I received today had some issues, but not as bad. White glue was visible in several places on the toe of one shoe and on the side of the other shoe. Clear drying glue would have been better if it's going to ooze out in little lumps on top of the leather. For the price, I expect a higher quality shoe.

I am on my feet at work for 10+ hours a day and finally had to give in to find something that is work approved (leather or leather-like) which would also provide some support and room for my bunions. These are not attractive, but they get the job done! Luckily most of my scrubs are longer and hide most of the shoe.

This is my third pair of these shoes -- first the bone (because white was then out of stock), then black, now white. My 18-year-old son tells me they look like ugly nursing shoes, except the white looks okay "if I can keep them spiffed up." I wanted some comfortable, sturdy, steady shoes for walking and for standing that didn't look like athletic shoes. I do have to add store-bought arch supports to make them sufficiently supportive for walking. They've worked well for me with that adjustment.

Best "cushion" of any shoe I've ever had. Wore for 5 hours right out of the box, and they were really comfortable.

As far as style, they are what you see. I did not buy them for style. The toe area is wide enough to be very comfortable. The size is true. I bought them to help provide support for my feet that pronate. They help stop the pronation but I am finding that it will take time for my gait to get use to the correction.

Sturdy shoe. Practical everyday shoe.

I have difficulty finding shoes that are comfortable for narrow feet, with arch problems and fit well. I especially need shoes for walking and being on my feet a long time. These are not particularly stylish for a woman, but I am older and would rather they fit. Perfectly! First time in years I feel like I have the pair I need. I added my own orthodics to these shoes and they are very, very comfortable. They seem quite durable, too. I am very happy I purchased these.

Very ugly, very comfortable and supportive. Oh how I wish they could be stylish like Merrils!But Merrils do not come in my size, and I have tried to "make" them fit with no luck. So OK, they look like your Aunt Mathilda's shoes, and you must NOT wear them with your adorable skinny jeans. sigh.

After reading all the reviews I was hoping these would fit my wide foot and narrow heel but alas, they do not. Even with socks, my heel slips up and down but the toe box is great!

Very stiff but I think I need the support not the best looking but at my age I’m going for support

I'm returning this pair of size 8 shoes. Although they appear to be well made and sturdy, they are just too big for my foot all around even though I wear thick socks. I've tried the size 7.5 (which is my usual size) and they are too small. My toes hit the fronts of the shoes in that size. I would have to replace the insole that comes with the shoes no matter what because they are not cushioned enough. I would have kept the shoes if I could have gotten a better feeling fit with them because I believe they would have been comfortable otherwise. I will have to continue my search for a comfortable walking shoe.

I ordered this shoe in my normal size 9 1/2. It was too small. Sadly I had to send them back. Will try this shoe again in a larger size.

This is a very plain shoe but when new balance changed up and was no longer comfortable to my frequently achy narrow fit, I found these. I bought them in black and am about to buy them in white. I wish that they also made this shoe into a style that didn't look like night matron, but my feet thank me.

These shoes seem well made,but they fit differently than the Brooks Arial that I ordered a couple of weeks ago. I haven't seen any other reviews mention it, but they seem to fit a 1/2 size larger. I ordered another pair smaller and the fit is better, but I'm still figuring out whether they are keepers or not.

I wanted to update my previous review. I have worn these for days now, they are super comfy. They are comfy enough that you can forgive them for being a touch clunky. The size runs true to Brooks sizing, which is about 1/2 size smaller than Saucony or New Balance. However, the white is not really a true white. It is more antique white or a little yellowish. The only reason I gave these 4 instead of 5 stars is the styling.

As other reviewers stated, these are not cute but that is forgiven since they are so comfy. Normally I wear a 9 1/2, but in Brooks I always wear a 10, so these run true to Brooks sizing. I would love these in different colors.

Kind of heavy. Super popular but they didn't have enough cushioning for my narrow high-arch feet, which means my knees would start to hurt. We're all different so I'd recommend trying. They're a very well made shoe and I have friends who swear by them.

I ordered white in 9.5 M as they did not have W in this size. They will be going back because they squeeze my toes AND because the white is really a bone color. I didn't pick up on the variation in the color in the picture before I ordered them but when they arrived I initially thought they had sent the beige color by mistake. Now I can see that the color of the top of the shoe in the picture is clearly a different white than the sole. I do think they would be a comfortable shoe in a wider width.

These were very comfortable on but I just couldn't bring myself to buy them as they are so clunky looking. Ah, too bad. Love Zappos and Brooks but this one's a no go.

These are comfortable and sturdy walking shoes. They seem to run a tad large, so I had to return a pair that I bought 1/2 size over my regular size, which I often do to compensate for swelling from arthritis. My heel lifts off the right shoe, something I have not experienced with other brands. After experimenting with thicker socks, tighter laces, and a small foam insert, I now feel comfortable and stable. Biggest recommendation: do not size up! They're not pretty but I'm more interested in walking safely than fashionably.

These are excellent shoes however they are definitely smaller than others shoes I have purchased in this same size. I love the stability
