This is the shoe my pediatrist recommends. It has a footbed that removes so that I can add my orthotics.

My podiatrist recommended these for work after I had severe PF. Bought my first pair & pain was gone!! That was about 6 years ago- I buy a new pair every 9 months or so. Not the cutest- but pain free feet is awesome!!!

Felt so comfortable from the first moment I put the shoes on. Great arch support and feels great on your feet all day. I need a wide for one of my left foot, which can cause an issue (sometimes) for the right. No issues here. Highly recommend these shoes!

I am a long distance walker and this is the best shoe I have found. I've just purchased my 4th pair. I have a narrow foot and this fits me perfectly.

I have "Fred Flintstone" feet -- big, kinda square, flat, AND recently had bunion surgery. I bought these shoes after my sister, who is a physical therapist, recommended that I try Brooks shoes for getting back on my feet and getting back to walking. I've been wearing them almost non-stop since they arrived and YES, these shoes live up to the hype you are reading in these reviews. As soon as I got them on, my feet felt great and I was able to walk three miles with no problem. I will order these shoes again. Good investment.

I really wanted to like these shoes and tried them on at various different times of day, hoping the length would feel better. I tried with regular socks and with thinner socks and no go. AAARGH! Sadly, I’m returning. I wear an 8-1/2 in ASICS and an 8 in regular shoes. Narrow heel...these fit in every way but length. :-(

r This shoe is amazing! It is the most supportive shoe I ever tried. I couldn’t pronate if I wanted to! I also like the differential (slope) to give the heel a break. It’s far from being a loose, slipper type shoe, though, for home. It’s for those who need a ton of support all day long. I placed my large, high orthotics and they fit perfectly with still lots of toe room. I ordered a 10.5 narrow and they fit perfectly. I used to wear a narrow in most shoes because of my narrow heels but now with bunions I don't anymore t shoes while in this one the narrow still gave ample space. Medium width would be too wide in my case although I now wear a medium in new balance or brooks adrenaline sneakers. I am returning these shoes because I was looking mostly at summer and these are thick and sturdy (but light). I don’t need that much support at home or work. I will consider reordering these later maybe for winter in black. Not crazy about the taupe color.

This shoe is a lifesaver. I have a very narrow foot with fallen arches. This shoe is narrow when it says narrow. I actually don't have to pull the l aces all the way to hold my foot tight. The support is adequate. The toe box is roomy too - plenty of room for my big toes that have a tendency to get squished and hurt. I have been looking all over for shoes with this amount of support and comfort.

I have used and enjoyed this shoe for many years. It is comfortable and does a good job accommodating my bunion. It is the only sneaker I buy and when one pair wears out I buy a new one.

I ordered this shoe in addition to some of the narrow sized similar New Balance shoes. This shoe was perfect in every way, and I am glad that it is not white. The New Balance shoes were nice but the width was not narrow enough. I have reviewed them separately.

My feet feel good in this shoe

I loved the shoe and it fit one foot but not the other. I cannot say it was the shoe, I have one foot with a bunion and it may have been the reason why. I was afraid to try a bigger size and then have to send them back. Will have to go to my tried and true shoe and not try something new. Love dealing with Zappo's and their free return. Received a email today saying they received the return and the credit will be in 7 to 10 days, according the my credit card. You cannot ask for anything more than that.

I decided I didn't like the large sole on the shoe. With summer here and wearing shorts, these shoes looked clunky.

i am a huge walker. slipped these on and found them extremely comfortable. maybe slightly heavier than other shoes out there. bought this pair to wear on treadmill. started wakening and did not like the way they felt on the tread. it almost seemed slippery. i didn't risk a wipeout so took them off and back they went. when i need a pair for outside i may try these again!

Since I have a lot of difficulty buying shoes that fit and are supportive for my many foot issues, I use Zappos so that I can try on and return what a doesn't fit without a hassle. Regarding this particular shoe: I have most recently had an ankle and tendon issue which never healed and is now affecting my knee. These shoes are the first I have tried that do not give me pain in my ankle and Achilles. They have excellent support, and are leather on the inside of the foot, which gives more support than the Saucony Walker, which chose to put the vinyl on the inside. While some people thought they were clunky, I found that the plain top design minimized this, and frankly I can deal with them for the pain relief I have received by wearing these. I plan on buying a black pair for winter and trying the beige. They also fit my rather high orthotic, and they have room in the toe box. I'm very happy with this purchase. I wasn't even contemplating a trip to NYC , Montreal, and the summer fair season because of the foot issues, but now, I think I might be able to do these things again with my family!

I had planter's faciitis and started wearing Brooks Ghost 10 with orthotics, which helped. But the PF still stings once in a while. So for the winter I got the Brooks Addiction Walker shoes in Black leather which fit perfectly and did the trick. I wear an 8 wide. For the summer I am going back to Ghost 10 and white leather Brooks Addiction Walker shoes, which seem not to have changed from last year, with my orthotics. The shoes are wonderful. My doctor told me to get new shoes every 500 miles and this appears to be true for me in fending off any PF residual pain.

This is the second pair of Brooks Addiction walker shoes that I purchased. I have Plantar Faciatis and these are the only shoes that are comfortable. I have Supef Feet inserts that I use with these shoes and I walk two miles a day in them. Excellent shoes, comfortable and they also look nice. Highly recommend, I buy a new pair every year.

These are the best supportive walking shoes I've ever worn. I won't buy any other shoe for walking (on the treadmill or casual walking). I've been wearing these for years. I take out the insole that comes with this shoe and replace it with an orthotic insole specifically made for plantar fasciitis (vionic orthaheel inserts). I never have any type of foot, ankle or leg pain with this combination.

These shoes are great. I had to send back the women's because they were too narrow however I switched to the men's because they are wider.

I never tried Brooks before... as soon as I put these on I knew they were the best shoes I have ever had on my feet! So comfortable!!! Will definitely be buying again!
