I've had a pair of these shoes for the last 8 years, and they've been comfortable the entire time. I decided to replace them because they were looking a little worn around the corners. I'm pleased the same model is still available - that's frequently not true for many shoes.

These are great shoes for people with problem feet, ie; arthritis, hallux limitus, flat feet etc. I love them I just had to return them for a bigger size!

I am reviewing the Brooks Addiction Walkers here, but first some background . . . I have worn Skechers Shape-Ups for year because they supported my feet, ankles and knees throughout my active daily walking of 3-5 miles, usually with my dog. I may be one of the few people who liked them. When they quit making them, I purchased quite a few gently used pair on eBay because I liked them so much. All of a sudden this year, the Shape-Ups quit working for me for some odd reason, perhaps because something has changed in my posture or gait due to new activities I have added to my retirement repertoire, specifically clogging (dance). My feet developed a very slight pronation which was causing some knee pain. I started searching for another shoe and ended up ordering the Addiction Walkers. They have been AMAZING right out of the box. They feel supportive and sturdy surrounding my feet. I can detect a very slight correction to the pronation. The arch support and padding are extremely comfortable. The sole makes me feel stable, even when I have to wrangle my 90-lb. dog. I can walk and walk without any discomfort. I know some other reviewers have commented that they dislike the style, but I am OK with the way they look as I have always liked shoes that look like they have some substance to them. I am thrilled with these shoes.

Love this Brooks walking shoe. I have work them for many years. Great support and arch support.

I have been hiking in these shoes and they are supportive and comfortable and keep my feet warm which is one of the reasons I purchased them. I don’t care for the colors but that’s a minor complaint. I did have to put inserts in them for my plantar fasciitis problem.

These shoes are very comfortable and do help with the issues I have with my feet. I'm so glad they now come in a white leather. Don't need neon colors. Want a shoe to blend in with my clothes and support my feet. These are my go to shoes when I know I'll be doing alot of walking. I avoid pain in my feet when I wear them because of the linear platform they have inside. Great Shoe.

This is my fourth pair of Brooks Addiction Walker. I wear them with OTC orthotic inserts. I started with them during and after I suffered from Plantar's Fasciitis. They have good arch support and a relatively soft heel. I did have a problem with the last (beige) pair I bought as they were a little small, even though I got the usual size 8. I stuffed them with paper for a couple of days to stretch them and they were fine. Probably some shoes just end up tighter than others but the "smallness" was in centimeters and I took care of it. These shoes are very comfortable and while not the latest style, are not frumpy.

They fit perfectly, just like the 3-year old pair they are replacing. They feel fantastic and I am not having the leg cramps that was the reason I originally bought these sneakers.

I have been wearing Addiction Walkers for more years than I can remember. They are comfortable and long wearing. My Podiatrist wears Brooks shoes so he was glad I chose this brand. FYI for those who wear orthotics, I found buying a size and a half larger was a perfect fit (take out the Brooks arch support first).

As a duck-footed person with orthotics, I love these shoes. They are consistent in size/width/make which is saying a lot for the shoe of any manufacturer. And the company sees no reason to "upgrade" to a shoe that is of poorer quality. Thank you, Brooks.

I love these shoes for the support and the fit. I ordered a white pair last year and this year I have ordered one of each color. The shoes are lightweight and keep my feet from rolling over to the side. they are not the prettiest shoe stye but my feet are happy and I very rarely wear anything than slacks anyway. when my feet are happy so are my hips! this is very important to me!

These sneakers fit wonderfully. If you walk miles everyday as I do, sneakers wear out quickly. My stance has changed as I've gotten older. I need the toe box room and superior support. These sneakers deliver! They were built for a purpose not a style. If you take your walking seriously, no matter the weather, these sneakers are like walking in a protective cloud. I am a repeat buyer.

I have been wearing the "addiction" for years and I wouldn't wear any other shoe for long walks. I walk at least three miles a day and these shoes are both comfortable and supportive.

Excellent fit-great support. Had been wearing them for several years now. Left New Balance when they kept changing their shoes and made them unwearable. When you are on your feet 12 hours a day you want something you can depend on time after time.

I have significant problems with my feet. I have flat feet, and I pronate a great deal. I like to walk on my treadmill for exercise, but this often gives me pain in my feet and kicks up my plantar fasciitis and posterior tibial tendonitis. Nice, right? I had Brooks Addiction walkers with velcro straps before. Since they are not very stylish and are somewhat heavy, I made the mistake of going to another brand when my feet weren't bothering me that much. Although this brand is known for good arch support, they are not Brooks Addiction! Brooks Addiction walkers are the ONLY brand that control my pronation, allowing me to use my treadmill without pain. I like the lace up version better because I can tighten the laces for support. Don't care that they are not exactly pretty. These are the only sneakers I will use on my treadmill going forward.

Not an attractive shoe by any means. However, I have plantar fasciitis and these were the top pic recommended by my podiatrist. They feel wonderful! They look heavy but they are relatively lightweight! Excellent shoe.

I love this walking shoe, I have all 3 colors currently offered and I wear them constantly. I have others but I cannot wear them for hours and/or walk long distance in them like I can with these. I do wish they would come up with a lighter version instead of the leather for the summer but I will keep buying these.

These were a gift to my Nurse to help avoid Plantar Fasciitis. She loves them. Has declared that a pre-existing condition of one foot has resolved since wearing these. I have at least 6 pairs myself for various jobs and scenarios and love them. DrC

I absolutely love these shoes. I have been wearing the same style for around 20 years. They are perfect for using my orthotics; they are comfortable, durable, and always a perfect fit.

I have tried these numerous times with different sizes, colors, as well as gender. It does make a big difference. Unfortunately not this time. They made my feet burn. Back to the ole drawing board...:(

The fit and size were perfect. These addiction walkers are the best. This is the fourth pair i have bought for my wife and as she says, theres nothing better for my feet. She also liked a pair of Drew that i bought for her but by far its the addiction walkers that are her favorite.

These are the best fitting and most comfortable shoes ever. I only wish they came in more colors.

I didn't buy these shows for style; I bought them for comfort. The 2A fit my narrow foot perfectly. I love the removable footbed, so that I can use my custom orthotics. As soon as these shoes wear out, I hope to replace them with an identical pair. These are my go-to shoes for long walks and for errands.

Fit perfectly so far. No problems yet.
