I get these Brooks sneakers for my elderly mom. Her various medical conditions (not diabetes) cause her foot numbness, pain, and swelling. She walks with a rollator. Of all the many brands she's tried so far, these shoes give her the best stability and comfort. And she can swap out the footbed for an orthotic. If she takes a fall, we know it's not because of the shoes. They're not gorgeous but she ends up wearing them for most occasions because they're just the best.

These shoes are super comfortable! I love how they hug my feet and feel like I'm walking/standing on cushions.

Have been wearing this shoe for about 16 years after orthopedic physician advised this would be a good shoe for me due to overpronating.

I got a new pair and they have gone down in price what a change for the good. I have gotten these shoes before and they fit real well. I have gotten the black pair as well as the white pair in the Brooks addiction Walker v strap. I just wish the bone was also in v strap because I would get it. I am wondering was why new balance can make it in v strap form but Brooks can't make it yet for some unexplained reason.

Although these are not exactly the most stylish of shoes, I have been wearing them for several years and they support my foot really well..I can't wear anything else with my WW (double wide width) and I am very happy with this shoe!!!

Today is the first day I wore them. I usually wear orthotics, but they were so comfortable I didn't even miss them!

These shoes are absolutely the most comfortable shoe I can remember wearing. They give me great support and they fit perfectly. I cannot speak about the arch support, as I wear custom orthotics, but overall I would recommend these shoes.They seem to be very well made; (might just beat New Balance in that feature). They likely are the ugliest shoe, but who cares, with all the other features. They were a perfect fit, they lace up just right and you feel like you are being well supported. The price is a bargain; I would rather pay this price for these great shoes than less and not have a good supporting walking shoe. I definitely will buy another pair later on. I am well pleased and look forward to walking comfort.

Perfect foot for my flat feet. This is my 3rd pair in 3 years. I wear them to walk a mile a day and to work out at the gym 3 times a week. I wear them around the house most days. They last one year of wearing them daily. Leather uppers allow the foot to breath, so they are not hot in the summer. Perfect for the winter. They keep my feet dry and warm. Never stop making them.

I am a returning customer for the Addiction Walker. They were recommended by my podiatrist after my plantar fasciitis surgery. I ordered a pair for my aunt. She loved hers, too.

Brooks Addiction Walkers have given me my life back. Please do not change this style. Very stable, supportive shoe.

True to size, unlike other Brooks styles (or so many other brands as well) which typically need one to size up a half or full size. No need to guess your size with these! Very comfortable right out of the box. Leather is soft with little need for 'breaking in'. Have shopped around for less expensive walking shoes and come back to these. Purchased a back-up pair in case they're discontinued, I like them that much

I wear 11.5 narrow - a very difficult size to find. I often order 12 narrow in a walking shoe, which is the size I have of this shoe (in the beige color). The fit is perfect with my orthotic inserts and I am thrilled. I even ordered a second pair.

these are my wifes shoes and she just loves them. she wears them to work every day.

This is my second pair of Brooks shoes. I came back after trying a different, more expensive shoe. It didn't last and did not give me the support I needed. I don't think I'll make that mistake again.

Love these shoes...constantly ordering them for my plantar fasciitis arthritic feet. Perfect support when taking out inserts and putting orthotics in! Just wish they lasted longer. Had part of the leather chip off on the last pair....all the others were fine!

It is very challenging to find narrow shoes that meet my uniform requirements. I now own a couple pair of these. They are holding up great, clean easily and are actually, TRULY narrow (if you order narrow.) So happy with this product.

I have been wearing Brooks Addiction Walkers for the past few years on the recommendation of my podiatrist. I stand all day running a machine and these help give my ankles some stability. They are also a great for walking as I don't have to worry about turning (spraining) my ankles on uneven ground or sidewalks. They are not the prettiest or most stylish, but for those with foot problems I would recommend these.

I am so pleased with my shoes the service was great i received the first pair very quickly and was unsure how to return them but with one phone call your representative was so well versed and assisted me with the process and with in two days i had another pair that fit perfectly thank you for your service. I have worn these shoes for a number of years. As a special education teacher, I am on my feet throughout the day. I usually wear them for two years, then replace. My old pair becomes my yard work pair of shoes. I retired in December 2017. I was recalled to work in November 2018 as an emergency substitute. That job has morphed into long-term. My feet are older, and now I like to supplement my shoes with the addition of a cushioned insole. I never needed that before. These shoes deliver support and stability for my rigorous work day.

I've had a pair of these shoes for the last 8 years, and they've been comfortable the entire time. I decided to replace them because they were looking a little worn around the corners. I'm pleased the same model is still available - that's frequently not true for many shoes.

These are great shoes for people with problem feet, ie; arthritis, hallux limitus, flat feet etc. I love them I just had to return them for a bigger size!

I am reviewing the Brooks Addiction Walkers here, but first some background . . . I have worn Skechers Shape-Ups for year because they supported my feet, ankles and knees throughout my active daily walking of 3-5 miles, usually with my dog. I may be one of the few people who liked them. When they quit making them, I purchased quite a few gently used pair on eBay because I liked them so much. All of a sudden this year, the Shape-Ups quit working for me for some odd reason, perhaps because something has changed in my posture or gait due to new activities I have added to my retirement repertoire, specifically clogging (dance). My feet developed a very slight pronation which was causing some knee pain. I started searching for another shoe and ended up ordering the Addiction Walkers. They have been AMAZING right out of the box. They feel supportive and sturdy surrounding my feet. I can detect a very slight correction to the pronation. The arch support and padding are extremely comfortable. The sole makes me feel stable, even when I have to wrangle my 90-lb. dog. I can walk and walk without any discomfort. I know some other reviewers have commented that they dislike the style, but I am OK with the way they look as I have always liked shoes that look like they have some substance to them. I am thrilled with these shoes.

Love this Brooks walking shoe. I have work them for many years. Great support and arch support.

I have been hiking in these shoes and they are supportive and comfortable and keep my feet warm which is one of the reasons I purchased them. I don’t care for the colors but that’s a minor complaint. I did have to put inserts in them for my plantar fasciitis problem.

These shoes are very comfortable and do help with the issues I have with my feet. I'm so glad they now come in a white leather. Don't need neon colors. Want a shoe to blend in with my clothes and support my feet. These are my go to shoes when I know I'll be doing alot of walking. I avoid pain in my feet when I wear them because of the linear platform they have inside. Great Shoe.
