I have been buying these shoes for years. They are the only shoes I can walk in for miles and not have any problems with my arthritic feet. I noticed that they were on sale for $99 last month. I knew right away that this meant Brooks is coming out with a new style. I haven't bought the new style yet, however I bought a pair for $99 because I figured if they have been good for so long I better get another pair before the new ones come out. BEWARE!!!! These are smaller in size than the previous shoe! They do not fit as well and there is a noticeable difference. That leads me to believe that the new Brooks Addiction Walker will be the same and not as good as the original. For the life of me, I do not understand why these shoe companies continually try to "reinvent the wheel". I gather its all about making more money no matter how cheap the product they are producing is. Pretty depressing for someone who has problem feet. The availability of a decent shoe is rapidly declining.

Just not my shoe...how can such a popular necessary shoe be so, well, dull! Felt ok and might do what I need for long walks but I lost my heart to some red ones!

If this is the type of shoe you need, it would rate 5 stars. It isn't what I need. This is a shoe if you need a lot of support and stability, no flexibility. For me, this shoe is like putting my foot into a stiff box....like a brick. And it's not easy to get on. It just feels very restrictive, but I am pretty much a neutral walker/jogger. The amount of control this shoe provides is just not comfortable for me. It reminds me of a shoe Frankenstein might wear.....rigid, blocky. Obviously, it works for a lot of people, reviews are great. I'll bet I know where Frankenstein buys his shoes. Zappos rules!

I am a huge Brooks fan, so I bought these for my mom. She has a bad everything (back, knees, legs, feet) and sadly huge bunions, too. I thought these would be the answer to her woes and sadly they were not. She felt like the toe area was very stiff. I have to agree with her. Back they go, I will continue to try again for dear old Ma.

I was disappointed in the comfort level of the shoe. I am on my feet at work for most of the day and my feet and lower back were aching by the time I got home each day.

Bought these for my 12+ hour shifts as a nurse. I was previously wearing Nike running shoes but my feet would start aching midway through the day so I knew I needed something else. Decided to try walking shoes, and decided on these after trying both these and some Asiscs. The ache has been reduced drastically, but there's still no cure for 3 12/hr shifts in a row! They have very little cushioning so I bought some inserts which just made them smaller. They are the opposite of fashionable but that was not my first priority. Overall they are better than the running shoes for work.

The color is darker and more khaki gray than it looks on my computer. There is a huge toe space, good for some people, but too much for me. Seems at least half a size wider and longer than listed. I am sure it is a good shoe though.

Not an attractive shoe by any means. Appeared to run about 1/2 size small.

I usually wear Brooks running sneakers in D width. I was advised by a few people that the Addiction walker was in the same family as the other shoes I have been wearing but I found it uncomfortable. It did not feel as wide as the other Brooks style sneakers I wear. The size was exactly the same. My little toe was cramped and I tend to get blisters over there when not wearing a shoe that is wide enough. I think the next letter width would actually be too wide for me and cause more problems. As for style..Just like the pic shows..they're kind of blah looking. Just basic, white and don't look like they're worth the money. I have returned these shoes and will be placing another order to replace them with the Brooks running shoe shoe even though I wanted a walking shoe. I know there are differences between running and walking shoes but I seem to be stuck with having to wear running shoes as an every day shoe due to overpronation.

I am a nurse and bought the shoes for work. The shoes have adequate support and comfort. Not a great looking shoe being all white and smudge easily.

Brooks Addiction Walking--Not Sure Yet... Ordered same size (9 N) that I wear in the Addiction running shoes. Does not seem as comfortable (bit shorter, heel area) as the Addiction running shoe--more break in time may be needed. Wish they would offer the Narrow Walker with velcro straps. After reading reviews, I may try another brand before I buy another pair of Addiction Running shoes.

Typically I get just the Addiction Walker, I tried these and they just were not the same. I had to get them adjusted because of the knee pain they caused. I am going to stick with just the Addiction Walker.

This shoe is not for me, although I love Brooks running shoes. The toe area is too tapered and there is a seam on the outer edge of the middle of the shoe that hits a tender spot on my left foot. It could be a great shoe for someone else.

I loved these shoes for a month until they fell apart. I had to return my first pair because a piece snapped off when I first put them on, and within a month of wearing my second pair, the front piece came away from the sole. Very disappointing quality, but the shoes were great until then.

These are not only not attractive they are just okay comfort wise, not great. I have sesamoiditis and was looking for a work shoe that would take the pain away. I stand on my feet for long hours and really need cushion. I was willing to sacrifice style for comfort but was disappointed in that they just felt like regular sneakers and they are not slip resistant.

Very comfortable shape, but not breathable. Our house temperature was 87 degrees when I tried them on, the shoes were much too hot.

I need a shoe for wearing on concrete all day. I tried a pair of Keens and a low pair of Danskos but they do not have enough cushion for all day comfort. The balls of my feet go numb and end up feeling like I'm walking on bare rock. My mother loves her Addictions, and swore these would be the shoes for me. I was more than happy to buy "old lady" shoes, if they worked. But as soon as I put these on I felt like they had bricks for soles. They are as hard as rock! I didn't expect them to feel like clogs (which I've never been able to wear). I wore them around the house and after 20 minutes I had knee and shin pain. I'm very bummed that these won't work for my feet, and I'm still looking for something with lots of soft cushion.

I have had great luck with Brooks shoes for a number of years but these have got to be the most disappointing shoes I've ever had. They would not soften up or "break in". After three months, I put them on the "wear only in an emergency" shelf. I returned the other two pair I purchased at the same time.

This used to be a five star shoe. I ordered this in beige believing it would fit exactly the same as my previous three pairs, which were black, size 8.5 B width. Ouch, the manufacturer made the entire shoe from instep to toe 3/8" narrower and strangely about 3/8" longer. This was a great shoe for ladies with flat feet, narrow heels and wider fronts, but no longer. It also had great heel and instep cushioning, and fine motion control construction which appears to be the same in this shoe. So sad.

Not very comfortable - I bought these shoes after I had knee surgery knowing I was going back to work for 9-12 hour work days on my feet, read the reviews, didn't mind spending the money on them, but was so disappointed when I wore them. They actually made my feet hurt worse because they are so hard on the inside, like walking on concrete. If you have foot problems, I would definitely go another route. I'm hoping maybe some kind of insert will help mine out so I can at least try to wear them, but we'll see.

The brand was recommended for comfort and support by a family member a year or so ago. Finally bought a pair with the 10% class action remedy the discount and they lived up to expectation EXCEPT there is a defect ?workmanship/material which only became visible the second time worn. I don't know if it happened because of bending the material while walking or if the material perforated with stitching. Either way, it's a disappointment to have a half inch tear in the upper left toecap area of the shoe.

I have never reviewed anything on Zappos. These shoes are so bad that I felt I had to review them. Have worn them for 4 days. Was worried immediately because they are so tight. Had to widen them so much that the laces barely were able to tie. My feet run on the narrow side so I could not believe it. They are so thick! Thought they would break in because they had good reviews so I have worn them for three days at about six hours a day. My feet hurt so bad I am shocked. Literally… Painful. Total waste of money.

I was so disappointed. I see all the other reviews and I was like, yes! This looks like a good pair for me. But at soon as I tried them on, I felt no support and was really surprised. Yes they are a sturdy shoe. No, they are not too "orthopedic looking ", but I always have that issue, as my size is 10EE. I wore Brooks for years then took a break from them. New job. So I decided time for a new pair of sneakers but quality has gone down, or I have changed. Now I had a major weight loss for over two years now (35)pounds so I would think the shoe would fit even better! But not so. Can't explain why these don't work for me like they used to. But today's Brooks Walker I would not recommend.

These are too stiff. Normally I wear the Brooks Dyad with my orthotics. The Brooks Dyad are awesome. These walkers don't flex. The tongue rubs my foot, they're super heavy and clunky. They're a waste of 120.00
