A bit thinner than I had imagined but quite soft. The biggest turn off is that it's very tight in the neck. It's middle of the road.

Ordered a size larger and sweatshirt is still small. It is nice, but you might want it bigger.

The hoodie I picked out wasn't what it said it was online so was disappointed.

loved it and was excited, but my sons head is on the large side and had trouble getting it on and off...will need to return it...darn

First off, I'm a huge fan of North Face. They have been in the business for a long time and make some awesome long lasting products. It may be for this very reason that I hold them to such high standards. I made my yearly purchase of winter clothing and ordered two half dome hoodie's (brown and blue). I think the material feels cheap, thin, and not durable although I cant contest the durability yet because they are brand new. The wrists and waist of the hoodie's are very loose kind of like what you get on a hoodie that has been washed over several years (I washed these once when I got them). In past experience I always know to order one size larger than what I typically wear and did so in this case, ordering XL. If I order large hoodies, the sleeves are usually far too short with the rest of the hooding fitting well for the most part. I think this is odd because I'm 5'8" 165 lbs, with an average build and my arm length is actually short which I notice when buying button up dress shirts. As far as fitting, after the wash, these hoodies were still slightly more on the XL side which is no problem. The issue is that the sleeves are once again too short! The hoodie would fit perfect if I had a build like humpty dumpty. In conclusion, the half dome hoodies regardless of size still suffer from short sleeve syndrome and kind of ride up in the back due to the slack material around the bottom and around the wrists. God help someone who actually has long arms. Sorry for the long review but I kind of expect more out of North Face's usually superior gear. These hoodie's are not cheap either. I would recommend a reevaluation of this product by North Face and would not recommend this particular product to fiends or family.

Great looking product but over the years have owned several with inconsistent quality. Not sure why I continue to purchase this product. The latest one pilled up after only one wash which is unfortunate because it's a great color.writing these reviews doesn't go anywhere as I never hear from customer service.

I'm really surprised that the material is so thin. Even more surprised at the excessive pilling. AND the sizing is off. The body is XL, but the sleeves are XXL. Most disappointing TNF purchase ever.

I liked my surgent half dome hoodie so thought I'd pick up a couple of these. my first impression was that it felt extremely light and thin for a hoodie. after trying it on and wearing it around for a while I did find it to be very warm and comfortable. unfortunately for me within a week of getting them I caught the arm on a piece of metal making a small pin hole in the sleeve. the pin hole grew quickly to the size of a dime and kept getting bigger until I had a noticeable hole in my sleeve and could only wear the hoodie around the house. the other hoodie has held up fine but I do notice alot of fabric pills, heavy on the cuffs but find them all over the hoodie. overall the hoodie is ok but I feel the fabric lacks the quality to justify the price

The Fabric pill start as soon as i put it one and left many many remnants in the car or couch and every where I sat. After removing I have long thick lining material in my hair or clothes. Not Happy with this purchase.

I was disappointed. The colors that are displayed for this sweatshirt were not the colors the sweatshirt actually are. Aside from cosmetic details. It is a very nice warm sweatshirt. The neck is a little tight. I have to take my glasses off every time I put it on or take it off so that's annoying. There could be a bit more.....elastic in the material, make it a little more stretchy. I find the the sleeve cuffs stretch out every time I wear it as well as the waist cuff. I never really stays tight to my torso/waist, feel like I even float in the small a bit. I have a sweatshirt I bought at H&M that is seemingly identical except that it's material has a bit more polyester in it? I don't know its stretchier and stays tight to my body. Anyways I returned the sweatshirt. There in my opinion changes that need to be made. but that's not up to me. Would I buy this sweatshirt again? No. Knowing what I do now about it, I would not pay $49 for it. Even if I didn't know, $49 is still too high for this sweatshirt, maybe $29 but not $49. Ok I'm done.

I read the reviews before purchasing which seemed to agree this ran small. I'm an XL guy but hate tight sweatshirts so I ordered 2XL. Mistake! It's roomy but the bottom has zero elastic so it hangs like a skirt. Not even close to worth the cost! Just read an article about Tony Hsieh/CEO of Zappos...tell Tony to send me a new sweatshirt with some of his gazillion dollars!

I love these Half Dome hoodies but it seems like every other one I buy it shrinks to the point I cant even wear them. I have purchased probably 4 half dome hoodies; all from a local store in the past 6-9 months. Of the 4; 2 have shrank and I do not even dry them anymore and I always wash in cold/cold. I always buy a size up as well. Very disappointing lately.

I have a bunch of NF sweatshirts, all the same size, but this one shrunk like crazy after the first wash and was way too short, while still being too loose in the mid section. I'm 6'2" 230 and this was an XXL. Overall the quality is really good, the huge logo on the hood is a little much but not a deal breaker. If you have a shorter torso this might be great for you.

when i bought it it felt comfortable and fit extremely well. first wash and it began to shrink substantially after a few more washes the sleeves became wider and the bottom rim or shirt tail was shorter, it was extremely wide and now it does not fit well around the waist it looks like the bottom of a dress. i have always enjoyed your equipment and clothing and would recommend anything from your store to a friend, but i was extremely disappointed with this hoodie

I must return my North Face pull over hoodie. It runs much smaller than it's size. I had to take a second look because I thought it was a child's size.

I haven't took the tags off buf i tried it on it felt kinda small

The color of the sweater was so faded. It looked like it was in the sun for days.

Worst possible sweater ... Bought for my husband and he wore it once and there was shreading every where

I saw this black and white hoodie in bass pro shop and decided not to buy it, but got home and really wanted it, so I went online and saw it was black and white, with white drawstrings, which it did not have In the store, they were black. Once I saw the hoodie with the white drawstrings I was sold! So, I ordered it, waited a week and finally got it! But it had black drawstrings, like the one I had seen at the store. So I called to see about returning it, they said to go to a northface store to get my money back sooner, which in itself was a nightmare. When I got there I was going to possibly exchange it for something else but the selection was limited, which was understandable, it being around Christmas time. So when I got home I called to order something else directly from the website and asked if I could have it overnighted for free for my troubles and the false advertising. However, they had no stock in their warehouse of pretty much anything. So I decided to just not get anything until they got more. I see they've restocked now and am thinking of ordering something because it's nice quality. But I am afraid it won't be as advertised, and don't want to wait a week to find that out, or pay $20 extra to find out sooner and still be disappointed. I may just try to the store in the mall, but that's a huge hassle, especially if they don't even have what I want. I really want the hoodie and had got it in men's the first time, I am a women and am going to maybe try the women's black and white, it is advertised as white strings, but who knows if that's what it'll have.

The north face branded items are definitely in good quality but I cannot say the same thing for Zappos.com. Because What I think is that I received a display item. There was even a long hair on the hoodie. I am not returning this because I liked it and I purchased it by using a gift card otherwise I would return it in the first second. No Zappos.com any more.

Bought the all black hoodie with white logo, the picture shows the hood of the hoodie with some white on it and it didnt come in like that the black looked faded as if it had been washed seceral times, was very dissapointed

I expected better if you make good quality jackets maybe the hoodies could be better also.

I dont have too much money but i decided i should buy myself something because i havnt bought myself anything in a year at least. Was extremely disapointed to spend $45 on this. Its not comfortable and its tight around the neck. Also the hood doesnt fit my head naturally. And im a small person. It makes me sad.

hoodie is soft but runs small. I rated it bad because the quality is absolute trash.u wear it and all the fuzzy stuff on the inside comes off and stick to your clothes,it looked like I rolled around in cat fur .tried turning it inside out and washing it and it made no difference at all.tried putting it in dryer on reg. and air fluff to see if it would knock them off-and nothing. would never buy another one of these. save your money and buy a different hoodie than this waste
