These are good shoes for people with flat feet. The arch support is awesome. My only complaint is that it feels a bit narrow (I bought a 4E).

I purchased these from Zappos about four months ago. I use them for walking on the street and I usually walk 45 minutes to 1-hour at a brisk pace. The shoes are a little hard but they "break-in" quickly. I was able to slip in my custom orthotics and they stay in place because the shoes are narrow at the heel. I like the fit of the shoes and the heel fits snugly without slipping. I would definitely recommend these for fitness walkers.

I bought these shoes for work because I am on my feet in a warehouse all day. They are very comfortable and give me the support I need.

I could not have possibly been more pleased with this purchase. I was a little leery about ordering shoes online without trying them on first (it's very difficult to find my size in a store). I ordered these for my husband and he loves them. He normally doesn't care what shoes he gets. I told him he hadn't really tried a truly comfortable shoe yet. I know I made a believer of him now. I will continue using Zappos for both our shoe needs.

I settled, after reading many, many of the ratings on Zappos for men's walking shoes on 5 pairs. I ordered all of them, and tested them walking in my living room in anticipation of a month long tourist trip, unescorted, to China. I kept the first two pair, and returned the rest. The Skechers Work Shape-Ups XT-SR are a special case: comfortable but they feel strange. Then I read on page 15 of Consumer Reports, August 2011, that these might be causing injuries. The new Consumer Product Safety Commissions product complaint data base lists "36 people reported injuries associated with these shoes. That's more complaints than for any other single type of product in the database. Most of the injuries were minor...but 15 reported broken bones." That's how these feel: unstable, and while they might be better after I wore them a while, I don't see much reason to risk it. 1. Clarks Portland #116247. The best feeling, with a large toe box. 2. Asics Gel-Foundation Walker #7402962 is a close runner-up. 3. Avia A340M #7564348 are comfortable, but don't fit as well as the two above. 4. Saucony ProGrid Echelon LE are significantly more rigid than the others. Not as comfortable. 5. Skechers Shape-ups XT-SR #7682613 see above.

If you have a wide foot, these are great for walking and gym workouts. Love these and have an extra pair waiting. These wear very well are light and have a removable insert to place any orthotic beneath.

Very comfortable shoe. This is my fourth pair over the years. Extremely fast delivery for normal shipping. Zappos is a very reliable shoe site to get shoes and has excellent customer service.

I had three knee operations and I am training for my second Santiago de Compostela walk (Spain). I already put 110 miles of training (for a total of 400 miles) The shoes allow me to walk in the most natural walking motion as opposed to walk with running shoes that are extremely hard on the heels I highly recommend the shoe and hope Asics will be offering the shoe with other colors as well.

Best shoe I've ever worn. No break in period, and the heel padding wears forever. Definately outwears the shoes that I buy through my workplace.

Bought these for my husband who has wide flat feet. He wears them every day without any complaints. Speaking for him I would say they are comfortable and supportive enough to wear often. He works in construction and is on his feet all day.

These are some comfortable shoes! I have Plantar fasciitis and I'm overweight. After 8 hours of walking on concrete my feet don't hurt!

This is absolutely, the most comfortable walking shoes I have ever wore. I have been a softball umpire for 10 years, which means I spend all day on a clay ball field when I work. Black tennis shoes are part of our uniform. Spring is a busy season and by that I mean I am on my feet for 6 to 10 hours a day. My feet and legs are a severe problem until now. I am so glad I saw Consumer Reports declared these shoes the best walking shoes in 2009. I think these shoes might be the answer to getting in better shape since I feel better since I bought Asics Gel shoes.

I have purchased Asics shoes from Zappos exclusively for a few years. I love the choices, and all the sizes I need. Great, super fast shipping, I have never waited more than a day for my shoes to arrive! I love Zappos, won't buy sneakers anywhere else!

I love these shoes. There is enough support for walking long distances and they are comfortable. My feet usually hurt in shoes after a while, but these I can wear all day.
