Best shoe for standing all day. I stand 90% of the day in the work I do. I wore the MBT's all day right from the first day I put them on in complete comfort. Usually with new shoes I change during the day until they are comfortable.

Heel pain reliever extraordinaire - You don't buy this shoe for looks, but I was having heel pain so bad I didn't even want to walk one block. Diagnosed as various things - plantar fasciitis, inflamed bursa - and going down the route of try this, try that medically. Fortunately, a co-worker who also had had problems with heel pain, and wears the same size shoes as me, had a pair of these and brought them in for me to try. As soon as I stood up, without taking a step, I knew I had found the solution. Within a week, I was able to wear "regular" shoes again, and now am just wearing my MBTs if I am gonna be on my feet a lot. It also helps relieve some other orthopedic problems, such as knee and hip pain. Again, you don't buy them for looks, and they ain't cheap, but they performed a miracle! (Cheaper than the try this, try that medical approach.) A little problem with the fit on my narrow foot, but I added an orthotic and it fits OK.

Order 1/2 size larger - I have a very wide foot and this shoe fit very nicely. Comfortable and cute. I had to reorder them in 1/2 size larger though as they seem to run small.

Love them! My first pair of MBTs. Mine are red and very cute. Uppers are a light tan/ soles & trim are dark grey, so they go with all my pants. I get lots of compliments on them. My feet start to hurt if I wear normal shoes for more than two days or so, so I always go back to my MBTs. They are fun to walk and stand in. They may work different muscles, but they are not difficult to walk in. Going up and down stairs and inclines requires attention. My chiropractor recommends any products such as these which require 'dynamic standing balance'. It keeps your brain and reflexes active which will prevent falls and injuries in the senior years. I went to a local store to try them on and then purchased online - not because that was cheaper, but because the brick-n-mortar store had only one style in my size.

Well worth the money! After hearing accolades from other nurses on our ward....I HAD to try out these shoes! Plagued with arthritis (rated @ 70%) at a young age, I'm SO sick of living with pain! I really didn't have anything to lose...now, I am walking taller; I don't get as much neck/back/hip pain as I used to, and I actually feel the muscles in my calves, thighs, and butt tightening up! The cellulite hasn't disappeared, yet...but, I am hopeful! Being on my feet for 12-hour shifts (which often turn into 15+ hour shifts) is really hard and often thankless. But, I thank you for these shoes, Zappos (even though you made me pay for them)! Maybe we'll get a frequent buyer plan in the future?!

MBT Chapa Azul - I just love my new MBT Chapa. I walk a lot and though these are heavy shoes it feels like walking on a cloud. As to the benefits for my legs it is probably too early to tell (only 2 weeks) but I can say that I noticed a change in posture already. I bought the shoes a half size bigger than my regular size as was recommended and they fit perfectly.

MBTs are amazing - Hi am really obsessed with these shoes - they immediately make such a difference in your posture and are perfect for long walks. The only complaint is that there is not a lot of arch support.

I own the Kisumu sandal and Kilima hiking boot in the unisex sizes. The sandal fits perfectly and the hiking boot needs a heavy sock. The Chapa in a woman’s size needs a thin sock. It is very comfortable and I like the looks a lot.

This is a new model MBT that is both very comfortable and looks like a modern athletic, leisure shoe (not an orthotic). I like the extra height it gives me and am very comfortable in the rocking sole as I have worn the MBT for years.

I have purchased four pair of MBT. I love all of them, but I am liking these best so far. My others were sport low and sport high, a pair of sandals and the blue suede. These are the best looking so far. In my opinion all of the others were hard to keep clean and looking nice. I also felt as if the looked a little orthopedic. With the black/grey bottom these come across more neutral and much better looking overall.

Super Cute and Comfy Shoes! I got these in the blue color and they are really cute to look at and really comfy. This is my second pair of MBT's and I LOVE them. They are great shoes and they do seem to be helping tone my legs and backside. I have lots of different brands of shoes and MBT's are truly the best ever. I normally wear a 6.5 or a 7 in most brands but I take a 7.5 in these. Go ahead and splurge they are well worth the price!

Cute at last! I have owned a pair of black MBT sandals for about two years now and love them. I have been contemplating getting a second pair and when this style was introduced I knew I had found them. I wear between a 9 - 9 1/2 and often take a wide width. I ordered these in a 40 1/3 and they are too small. The length is perfect but unfortunately the width is just too narrow for my wider foot. I'm afraid that if I size up the shoes will be too long in the length. I'm sad because these are so cute and look even nicer in person than in the photos. Overall I love MBT's but this style is just not meant for me.

You definitely feel it in your legs and bum when you where these around the house cleaning or out running errands. I don't recommend actually attempting exercise in them though. The 2 times I have, my heels were completely raw afterward.

The MBT Chapa looks a little different than the other ones; nice red color patches, the rest is grey and beige. On the outside the sole looks as if it’s not as anchored as other models, which proves to be true by walking in them. They do not force you as strongly into the typical rolling movement as some of the other MBTs do. They are really light-weight, feel pretty soft on your feet and not as heavy as the other ones I have, much more flexible. No pressure on your feet at all, very comfortable to wear. Guess if you do have any foot problems that's really nice. And this soft impression also shows if you walk in them. They are more forgiving if you don't roll your feet in the correct way, which is described on the included DVD. I would highly recommend them for newbies of MBT, who are not used to walking in this kind of shoe or who want to switch from Fit Flops to MBT.

I hesitated for a couple of years of spending the money for MBTs, but had a leg and knee problem and was hoping it would help. Since I am 77 years old, I also worried that I would have a hard time walking in them. I have no problem walking, but do have a problem of standing, especially on a slant or uneven ground. I do think they have helped my knees and legs, but will hold my opinion until I have worn them a few more months. I have worn them a month now, with not too much problem.

This is my second pair of MBTs, the first is the black leather boots (very cool). I like the look of these shoes (I have them in red) more than pretty much the rest of the MBT casual line. I wear them on the concrete floors of my workshop nearly every day. I can’t vouch for any claims to improved leg muscles or extra calories burned while standing still, but I spend probably 4-8 hours on my feet each day, and these shoes are a huge improvement over thinner-soled shoes. The cushioning is good, but I found the pressure on the ball of my foot was too much (I have neuromas), so had to use 3/4 inserts (not needed with Danskos). The shoes comfortably accommodate the inserts. Walking in the MBTs is not my forte - living in the city I have walked perhaps a mile or more at a time doing errands, and find them to be awkward and slow (I like to move fast), which probably adversely affects my posture. Driving in them can be tricky, too - gotta remember there’s 2" under the balls of my feet. Overall, I’m glad to have them, but would hesitate to shell out the big bucks for another pair.

I love MBTs and have owned other pair. However, this toebox is narrower than others and has given me corns on both feet, which have limited my ability to wear them. Disappointing, since they are a major investment! If you tend toward B+ width, I'd go up a 1/2 size or choose a model with a wider toebox.

1. Zappos service is great! Could not have asked for more! I found the MBT true to size. Reading other reviews - I ordered 1/2 size up only to exchange an 8.5 for an 8. The Chapa MBT DOES reduce the impact on my knees. When walking my knees feel good! Also, I stand up straighter in my MBTs. I wear them as much as a can! I have NOT experienced the workout/improved leg tone. But I'm still happy with my purchase!

Hmmm - This particular style is tapered in at the toes as if they tried to change that area to make the shoe "look" slimmer than the other models. It leads to some serious toe crowding, so DO order a half size up. All of my other MBTs are size 7 (my actual size), but this style definitely runs smaller and narrower. Craftsmanship a bit sketchy as well - some stains on fabric and glue drips on sole, which surprised me. I hope MBT keeps it together because I LOVE my other pairs!

Walk this way - I love these shoes! They take a little getting used to because of the rounded sole but my legs feel like they are getting a better workout when I walk (especially feel the muscles in my quads). The only complaint that I have is that my toes feel a bit tight (the shoes are definitely not too small; my toes just sort of feel pushed toward the front of the shoe). Overall, they are great!

Happy with purchase - Definitely a little smaller than normal sizes. Mostly tighter in the toe area. Very comfortable. Cute! But still getting used to the overall look.

This is by far the most comfortable of all the MBT shoes I own (3 pairs of shoes, 2 pairs of sandals)...definitely glad read others reviews so I ordered one-half size larger - the rubber front seems to be the area that takes up the half size space.

Wanted to like them, really really did! I am a pharmacist and have been on the hunt for a great pair of shoes. I currently wear a pair of Naots to work every day and like them, but they don't give me enough cushion. The MBTs look cool and have a great concept, but, they just aren't as comfortable as I thought they would be. I had to go up a half size larger than normal. Wore them for a few hours every day at work and my feet were numb and tingly. Especially my toes. My knees ached and the foot with plantar fasciitis hurt (it hasn't in such a long time). I was told it takes about a week to become accustomed to them, but it just wasn't going to happen. I think they would be great for people who walk a lot. I tend to stand in one place for long periods of time. They really weren't comfortable for prolonged standing. The back has a hard plastic piece that made the shoe very stiff along the heel. Just not the best shoes for me. Oh well, I'll keep looking. P. S. I also tried the MBT black Mary Janes. They were a little better, but still not the worth the money.

Odd look, fit and feel - I could not get used to these shoes. Tried them out at home for an hour and got immediate, severe blisters on my heels. This is not something I could get used to or get past. The cushioning in the sole is great and you can feel your leg muscles being utilized in a different way than usual but what's the point if they are too painful to wear? Had to return them. The sizing recommendations by the manufacturer were accurate. Thank You Zappos for the excellent customer service - as usual!
