I have worn the Nike Air Alvord styles for years. They are a multi use shoe from gym to everyday use. The are sturdy and comfortable. I love the grey color because it hides dirt from all my outdoor activities.

These are very comfortable shoes. They have super soft cushioning. Great for people with tender feet! I have to try on 10-15 pairs of shoes to be comfortable every time I want to buy a pair. Needless to say I hate buying shoes! I found these shoes at a local shoe store. I went home and checked out Zappos. I got them for less. With free shipping each way how can you loose? Took two or three short runs for these to feel like they should have felt right out of the box. Other than that this pair of Nike's is an excellent shoe for the price. Light, flexible, not so much arch support that they are uncomfortable but enough to get me comfortably through a several mile run. Also a great shoe for wearing all day long, as I often do.

My favorite tennis shoes ever!
I've had my pair for about 7 months and I still love them as much as the first day I bought them. I can run up and down Camelback mountain with ease (which can't be said for most tennis shoes) and they still feel great running on asphalt. I want to stock up on them so I'll never run out!

I don't usually wear Nike. I have found that their shoes run about a 1/2 size small. I ordered these 1/2 size bigger than I normally wear and they fit perfect. They are so comfortable. I definitely recommend them.

This is my regular walking/running shoe. Love it, fits my slightly wider feet better - Nike in general does. Love the sturdier tread on this shoe, can also be used for hiking.

I've always had great luck with Nike, and these shoes are continuing that streak. I had a pair of Avia shoes that I picked up at a really low price recently (trying to be a bargain shopper), but had noticed quite a bit of shin discomfort running with them. I bought the air alvord VI two nights ago, and my shin pain has substantially decreased already. Great arch support and cushioning, and the mesh keeps my feet cool through the entire workout. I got the blue/gray/granite style - very nice...feminine but not "girly". I normally wear a 7, bought a 7.5 - so I agree that you may need to go up a half size.

I only wear Nike sneakers since I've found them to be a good price and very comfortable. I purchased a first pair of these at a sports store and wore them every day. About a month later I checked to see if they were available on Zappos and purchased a second pair immediately. I now alternate the pairs but still wear them every day, if not most of the day, then always on my long walks. No wear in time, immediately comfortable.

I normally wear a size 5, but have learned to order a 5 1/2 medium width from Nike. Even at that, these shoes seem to be a little narrow. So if you like to wear a heavier sock, try a wide width. This shoe has great support for walking/running.

I love these shoes. They look very cool on the feet. I get tons of compliments. The leather is a little stiff at first but it breaks in quickly. I got a 10.5, which is usually a very hard size to find and it feels extraordinary to have a shoe fit the way it's supposed to. I can wiggle my toes! I have large bunions and the medium width fits fine. Perfect arch support with no slipping in the heel. I got these for cross-country running, but I haven't tested them outside yet. Small! I normally wear a 10 in most shoes, but with Nike, I usually wear an 11 - til now! I ordered this shoe in an 11, but when I tried them on, they were too small! I’m going to send them back and order an 11 1/2. They also feel a little tight, but when I walked in them, it was like walking on air! I like these shoes. You have to wear them 3-4 times for them to break in. I do run on trails and they feel stable. I usually buy Nike trail running shoes that cost twice as much but these are great for the price...I just may need to replace them sooner. I wish they came in a darker color combo because they will get dirty!!
