nice for the price -
You definitely need to order at least 1/2 a size larger, but probably one full size larger is best with sweat socks.
I have narrow feet, and they are not too wide for me, so if you have wide feet, they may feel tight.
The shoe has good support and is very light which is great. Overall I'm quite happy with them, and especially for the price which I think is very reasonable compared to others.

A great shoe for me -
I'm very happy with this shoe. I ordered a half size larger, as I always do with Nike. I love the style of the shoe and how it looks on my foot. It feels supportive, yet it is light weight and comfortable. I was able to put my insert in without removing the inner liner.

Looks aren't everything!
I think this shoe looks great, sporty but feminine. I think it is build well . . . but for some reason I'm not getting the support and comfort I hoped for. It may be my personal foot, unsure!! I LOVE the trail-type bottom though; it works well for my life.

Nice and light shoe, good cushioning, and adequate arch support. Good shoe for the value. Would buy again.

I am generally never disappointed by a Nike shoe, but the Nike Air Alvord was nothing but trouble for me. Right away when I bought the shoes, they weren't comfortable but I thought they might get better as I wore them. I took them for a few runs attempting to break them in, but they continued to be uncomfortable and my feet were killing me. I bought some new insoles for them and it took me about two months to get them to feel alright. Once I got used to them, they felt pretty good, but then the upper began to fall apart so I only used them when I was running on my own, never when others would see me. Then, the sole lost all its cushioning and went completely flat, to the point where I couldn't even wear them. I had to throw the shoes out completely after only about three months. What a disappointment.

High hopes fall flat. These shoes felt small and narrow. No toe room. Didn't bother trying the other shoe on.
