Great looking summer shoe. Canvas upper breathes quite well for a sneaker. Sole is very comfortable. I'm between a 9 1/2 and 10 in shoe size. 9 1/2 are definitely the better fit for me with Nylites. Only complaint is that the toe is on the narrow side, otherwise would have given a 5 in comfort, style and overall rating.

The quality of these shoes was decent. However the size 10½ that I ordered was half to a whole size too small.

Shoes are light and simple. Some of the stitching has already pulled out in my few weeks of wearing them. Also, the white canvas got dirty pretty quickly. But, overall, I like them as a everyday summer shoe option.

Unfortunately, the best you can get from Tretorn nowadays. I am not sure why they discontinued the padded version.

I have not worn a pair of Tretorns in over 20 years. I have been looking at these for a while as nice summer canvas shoes. I wear a size 13 and unfortunately, these are at least a size too small. Too bad they do not make 13½. Unfortunately, I will be returning them tomorrow.

Not quite as undersized as Puma's...but if you normally where a size 13 you should order a 14. Also, fits wider than Adidas and Puma.

Great classic style, but very cheaply made. They stained and frayed very easily, and didn’t last longer than two wears.

This is not the Tretorn of your youth. The old Tretorn was softly lined and had a cushion at the heel. This shoe is just flimsy canvas. The heel seam is noticeable. I will keep the shoe, but for this construction, comfort and anticipated durability, it is seriously overpriced.

The canvas is so thin that when the first time I wore them, they got rained on, and the color of my socks showed all the way through. The supposed benefit of canvas sneakers is that they're washable, but after the first wash, they were shredded in the machine. I got one wear out of these paper-like shoes. (My Converse and Vans however, have endured several washes over the years and still look fresh.)

I bought two pairs of this sneakers because of the rave reviews on Zappos. I'm returning one pair and got a refund for another. 1. Because the sneakers are made of fabric, after about 2 weeks of wear, they will likely stretch for a full size bigger. After about a month of wear, I feel like I was a pair of flip flops because the back of the shoe was falling off. And this is for a pair that felt just right on day one. 2. The stitching about an inch long felt apart after about a month of wear. Zappos issued a refund for this. 3. After about a month of wear, the sole supporting the ball of my foot wore a hole. No kidding, there's a hole in the sole. I found the hole because I found a few of my socks also had holes in them. I'm pretty sure the pair I got is not normal because this item has a perfect review when I bought them. But I'm returning the pair I haven't opened because the pair I did wear is so disappointing.

Shame on Tretorn for ruining this classic shoe. Same styling as always, but the quality is now similar to the cheapest canvas shoe on the market. Seriously, I once bought a pair of $4 shoes at a street market under a bridge in Johannesburg that were better made than these. Tretorn has squeaked by for years based on a small but loyal following who were fans of this shoe (does anyone care or even know that they make other products?), but who is going to shell out this much for this junk? If you really must have these, at least wait until they've got them on clearance at $25 or so.

I was very disappointed in these shoes. I wore Tretorns consistently for a couple of years in my teens and then got away from them for a while. I was happy to find them again and was really hoping they could be my go-to casual shoe for the summer. While I didn't expect them to be exactly as I remembered, I did expect them to be close but they definitely were not. The construction is incredibly cheap on them these days. The canvas is thin, there is none of the sole padding or ankle padding that they used to have, the soles are a harder but seemingly less substantial compound than they used to be, and the Tretorn loop on the side is made of thin, shiny plastic that feels like it will tear away from the stitching very easily. The best way I can describe them is that the new Tretorns they look and feel like knockoffs of the Tretorns you remember. If you've never had any, you might be satisfied with these but wonder why people make a big deal about them. If you've worn them in the past, don't order them -- you'll only be disappointed. As for Zappos, great service as always.
