In addition to this shoe not being comfortable, the actual color (I ordered grey) is much lighter than pictured online, almost a soft white-ish. What made the shoe uncomfortable is the leather lace that "weaves" around the outside of the shoe, goes thru an eyelet before it crisscrosses to tie on top of the shoe. Where it goes thru the eyelet, the leather lace rubbed the side of both feet. I am returning the shoes and not reordering any color. I've had this style Sperry in the past and have not had this issue.

I initially ordered this shoe in a 5.5 M. I knew from past experience that this style shoe runs small and narrow for me. I wear a size 5 in dress shoes and sandals. I ordered this style because I liked the all leather shoe in one color and the darker sole, as it looks dressier. I had not seen these in the store, only the bluefish style. I wore leather Sperrys in my school days 30 years ago. The leather of these shoes did not look or feel the same quality. These felt like thinner, cheaper quality leather. I especially did not like the interior insole on these. It only goes halfway and isn't cushioned as well as the bluefish and similar styles, so it is not as comfortable. Even with a 5.5, the left shoe was still too narrow. Also, my heels slipped in them. I returned these and ordered a 5 wide from another vendor. They were too small AND too narrow. There was nothing wide about them, and I could barely get my foot all the way in. I returned those, too. So if I want comfortable Sperrys, I'll have to try one of the more casual styles that are not all leather. I had a pair of black quilted leather shoes some years back that had black patent accents, gold eyelets, black leather laces, black soles, and cushioned insoles. They were so comfortable, looked very sharp, and were better quality. I wish Sperry had stuck with those and the other colors and styles they had then.

I was thinking I might prefer the lighter color but the shoe is just too narrow for my toe box. i returned the shoes today.

This shoe is a little narrow, despite ordering a wide size. It is also too dark a brown compared to what I wanted (the original brown elk color). The tongue and surrounding shoe (where it laces) is much shorter on my foot than the older models of "docksides" that I have worn. Although disappointed, I will reorder this shoe as it is the closest match to the older original versions that I have been able to find.

These shoes are beautiful. Not sure on what planet these are considered wide because they are not! I am hoping they will stretch.

This is a great shoe that I have been looking at for awhile. I finally put some money together and bought a pair but after wearing them I was totally disappointed. They fit narrow, are a little short, and squeak when I walk. Maybe I can get my money back on reselling them and buying another pair the next size up. The shoe itself is great and I love the fact that they are a sturdy leather.

I ordered these shoes and they arrived very quickly. I tried them on, but the shoe was too wide. The size was correct. I returned them due to the width but I plan on ordering the correct size.

Shoe is way to narrow and I have narrow feet

After losing my original pair of sperrys that wEre purchased over 15 years ago (that were still in great condition) this pair of shoes fit and feel grEat. DefinitelEy worth every penny

I bought these shoes in late july of this past year. I wore them quite much, but not enough to be damaged as they currently are. In January, I noticed that my shoes had begain to rip near the throat line. These shoes are fabulous, and I'm discouraged that I can't say the same about the quality.

I love the style and the color but the fit isn't there. I ordered a 9 wide. The nine fits okay but really are not wide at all. They are leather so maybe they would break in and the width would be okay but I didn't take that chance. The other problem is the flat foot bed. There is zero arch support. Just trying them on hurt my feet. So, it was a double whammy... no arch support and too narrow. Had to return them.

I also wanted this style Sperry but knew it was a narrower style. When I saw they had them in wides online I decided to give them a try. They are still narrow in the toe and would take a lot a breaking into for me to stretch them out a bit. Was also disappointed that the plaid fabric sole didn't carry throughout the whole shoe; it stops about midway and you can feel the transition of where it stops. In the end I decided to stick with my BlueFish and that I will return these.

I recently purchased my second pair of classic Sperry's and they were great at first. I have had a pair in the dark brown for over a year that were so good and I wore them until the sole wore out. A month ago i went ten an purchased my new Sperry's in the Sahara color. They were great at first just not as comfortable as my brown, but that was only because of the fact that they weren't worn in. However yesterday I realized that the seam holding the top of the shoe to the side had split.

I bought these over summer and wore them about twice a week on averageand now there's a hole on the left shoe near the front stitching, the two pieces of leather basically came apart creating a hole. I thought the quality would be much better than thisso disappointed because I liked them :(

Shoes seemed to fit great when first worn. The longer I wore them they rubbed different areas on my feet. Very painful. They were supposed to be wide but not so. I even bought a shoe stretcher to try and stretch them, but it helped in some areas and not in areas where shoe rubs feet. Wish I would have sent them back. Waited to late hoping I could get them not to hurt.

I have a few pairs of Sperry's and I recently purchased the Women's Authentic Original 2-Eye Boat Shoe. I was impressed to see that it came in a wide size. I take a size 8 but I find Sperry's to run narrow, so I went with a wide width. When I got them in the mail and tried them on, they were too narrow (even though they were wide width.) I'll have to return them. The other Sperry's I have are not wide widths so maybe it's just the style that doesn't work for me. Still searching for another style to replace my older ones.

I like this style Sperry Topsider but the pair I received was defective. The inside lining was wrinkled at the heel and was impossible to smooth out, so the shoe was not wearable.

I'm not sure if the sizing has changed, but I had a pair of Sperrys that I got several years ago that I absolutely loved. I recently purchased another pair but ordered them half a size smaller than my original pair. Although the shoe quality was great, I ended up having to return this pair because it was one full size too big.

I really these shoes, I got them in navy and the colour is great, they are super comfy and are really cute. The only draw back to the navy is the lining is also navy and dyes the souls of my feet every time I wear them. I have had these shoes for almost a year now and they still dye my feet. That was a little disappointing, but over all a good shoe.

I've worn the same shoe/style/size for decades and absolutely love them. My previous pair were still OK but I wanted a new pair for a resort vacation. I have never had any problems with the shoe in the past, but after wearing them one day I found that the interior leather lining had some sort of defect - a small rough patch near the seam where the interior meets the exterior. It caused a small laceration on my instep, which caused considerable discomfort when wearing the shoes. I could not wear them without further damaging my skin. I scraped the lining which seems to have smoothed it out and hopefully solved the problem. Normally I would give a 5-star rating but for this tiny defect that proved so uncomfortable.

I am not sure why everyone says these are so comfortable... at first I was told a 6.5 fit me best but I exchanged them for a 7 a couple days later because they were so tight. I normally wear about an 8. The heel seemed to be a little too wide for my foot but the rest seemed a little narrow. When I first tried to tie them, the shoe string broke on one of them! They seemed worn already. It took a long time to get the new laces laced correctly.I have been wearing socks with them because they rub my feet otherwise. I wish I did not have to wear them around for weeks for them to become comfortable but I am excited once they eventually break in. I do like the sparkles and the many designs that the shoes comes in, they are unique. They look good with different types of outfits. I hope to wear them all the time soon...

I have purchased Sperry shoes before from department stores, but never at your website. I ordered the same size I wear in three other pair of Sperry's however this pair was way to small. I was not very happy with this as I purchased these shoes for a specific occasion and not only was I unable to wear them for the purpose intended, but I also had to but another pair of shoes!

I have had a pair of the leopard top siders for well over a year, and I LOVE them! This pair- not at all. I ordered the same size, but could barely get my foot into them. SO disappointing. I ordered the shearling lined ones- maybe the lining made them feel smaller...? but I did not like the styling at all either- kind of ugly. So sadly, they went back.

The color was not true to what was advertise and the edges did not seem to be glued right.
