Great comfort - I own quite a few of Dansko's shoes, including the Lolita sandal, a maryjane and several other clogs and walking shoes. I always wear a 39 (size 8 1/2-9 US sizes), I’ve even bought them in Copenhagen, Denmark (where Dansko is from originally). I thought this sandal was quite cute and would be a comfortable yet dressy alternative for my annual few weeks in Japan. However, after I received these in a size 39 and tried them on, my big toe was right on the cusp end of the shoe. I held them up to my Lolita sandals and they were a smidge shorter in length. I debated, because I thought my toe looked a little funny that close to the edge and finally decided to order the 40's. I really LOVED how comfy this shoe bed is, like walking on clouds, so I really wanted to keep a pair! Zappos customer service was outstanding and shipped me overnight the size 40! Upon the 40's arriving I discovered they aren't too much longer in size for my toe, however they're much much roomier in the buckle areas...too roomy as I have a fairly narrow foot. The 39's fit more snugly around my whole foot. So I’m not sure what I’ll do. But if this fits you go for it! The straps are quite stiff however. But I think that will soften with time. Overall a lovely addition to the Dansko collection. And you can't go wrong with Zappos!

The bottom foot padding on this is fantastic! It was like a foot-gasm. Soft and padded and adapting as you walked. Eeeeeee~! It was great! However, I did not like the straps. Very hard to adjust and very stiff ... especially in comparison to the bottom padding. This may wear in with time, but they just weren't rubbing mine the right way. However, the padding ...OMG. I wanted to keep them JUST FOR THAT.

Love this shoe. One of the most comfortable I've ever worn, great for walking, super cute, I would wear them every day all summer, except the footbed material is an absolute stink magnet. Egad! I don't have foot odor in any other shoes I wear except this this pair, and because it's material and not leather or faux leather, it's pretty much impossible to get out. I hope Dansko decides to make this same shoe with a different foot bed. Can't recommend it for this reason. If the footbed were a different material, I'd buy 3 pair.

Comfy, but stinky. This shoe would have been so much better with a real leather insole. The Dri-Lex footbed is clammy and sticky and it absorbs odors. The Dri-Lex material is similar to terrycloth - after a month of wear, the fibers are all matted down and they're no longer absorbent. I know this all sounds kind of gross, but I've never had this trouble with a Dansko shoe before. I loved these shoes until this awful footbed started absorbing odors and grime. It's unattractive, it doesn't smell good, and I've no idea how to clean it. I love Dansko, but I'll stick to the leather/nubuck footbeds from now on.

These are very disappointing. After loving these sandals and wearing them all over France on my vacation, the little elastic bit on the heel strap wore out. The shoes are basically unwearable after this happens as they slosh and clonk around on your feet. It is disappointing that a shoe that is otherwise so well designed and comfortable would have this one tiny yet crucial point of failure!

I had to have the elastic that connects to the ankle strap together repaired within the first 3 months. Now the the cushioned footbed is flaking apart as I walk. When it is any further gone these will be too hard on the feet for wear and I guess I'll not bother to repair because I don't know who provides a decent, replacement cushioned footbed that doesn't look strange. These were my first pair of Danskos. I'm surprised and disappointed these haven't been higher quality - especially for the money spent!

These shoes smell! They generate odor like no other shoe I have ever worn! And this is after wearing them on occasion for only a few weeks. Very comfortable, and pretty cute, but for the price, totally not worth it. Also, they stretched out a lot with wear. On the plus, they are much lighter than I expected, and I can wear them all day and be comfortable, just not inside or near people due to the smell!

Stinky shoe - I agree. I love the look of this shoe but within three months, I need to actually throw in the garbage! The foot bed traps odors and stinks. I wish Dansko would get rid of this dri-lex lining. I loved the traditional lining in the other sandals but the fit of these. I guess I will not be buying a pair of Dankos for this summer again. Big disappointment.

I love my new Dansko "Sissy" sandals! I am an elementary teacher and spend most of the day on my feet. A good arch support is crucial for my feet and lower back. This shoe has great support and looks very attractive. A pretty sandal for work and play.

I bought my first pair of these shoes last summer. They are very comfortable to walk in and have great arch support. I have found that I need to order a half size larger in Dansko clogs and the Sissy sandal. Also, it is really nice that the toe area adjusts.

These sandals are perfect for skirts or jeans. They are super comfortable! Love them and this proves that you can have comfort and still be hip!

These are very comfy and stylish at the same time! I get tons of compliments. One person called them vintage Brazilian style. My only worry was my toe hung a little over the edge, but I got the same size I usually get with Danskos. I am a true 9.5 and I bought a 40. I also had to punch an extra hole in the ankle strap to make them tighter so I think I got the right size (a 41 would have been too big). The toe thing no longer bothers me. I highly recommend these shoes!

I love these shoes. They are very comfy and supportive, but still cute. They work with a variety of outfits. They will still be comfortable after a day of walking the mall.

These are wonderful! I have lower back, knee, and foot problems, and have a very hard time finding shoes that are both stylish and comfortable enough for me to stand and walk in for any period of time. These truly fit the bill - I love them! I've had them about a month, and get compliments on them every time I wear them.

These are the most comfortable sandals I own! With no break in time required, they fit right out of the box. Everything about them is perfect.

I love these sandals. They give me the support I need for my wide feet.

I want to sing (like Prince), "Could you be, the most comfortable shoe in the world?" I'm a regular Dansko buyer but these feel more comfortable than usual. I like that you can adjust the shoe in two places. The "wood" isn't real, it's a something squishy and great. I do wish the style was more streamlined (I like the Sarah more) but chose this shoe because it was available in such a great light color.

I bought the red sissy and love the color. This shoe is very cute and comfortable. The red is not as bright as pictured which is fine with me. It really goes with a lot. I am a true size 8 and the 38 fit perfect.

Very comfortable sandal, the suede type foam foot liner is wonderful. I can't wear sandals that have rubber right against the soles of my feet. The height of the sole is good for me, clog style foot sole works well, the ankle strap gives be extra stability. I love the color too.

I've had major foot surgery on both feet and the Dansko Sissy shoe is the only shoe so far that I can wear all day. It is the most comfortable shoe I have worn. I have this shoe in all colors. Would like to see this shoe in a navy and medium/darker green.

I just got these, and they are the most comfortable sandals ever! I have a high instep, so it's great that the front straps are adjustable. I highly recommend these shoes!

Very comfortable shoes! I normally cannot wear any sort of heel at all but these shoes fit like I'd been wearing them for weeks the first time I put them on. I am able to get the shoe on without unbuckling the buckles which is great because I was wary of dealing with buckles all the time. These shoes don't rub at all which was very surprising for this kind of shoe. I got the red one and it looks great and I get all kinds of compliments on the color.

Wonderfully comfortable shoe. This is my second pair and I have enjoyed them in the hot and humid weather. They have a great material footbed that prevents your feet from sliding. I wear a M to W width. I'm 39 years old and I find them cute as well.
