I bought a pair of Phantoms to supplement my pair of Reef slaps that are leather and not as beach friendly. As a native Southern Californian, I can't imagine life without my Reefs close by. I liked the no frills look of the Phantoms and was hoping for a nice pair of flip flops to take to the beach. Unfortunately, the Phantoms are designed for a narrower foot than mine. I felt like they could have been worn in in a few days (with still a snug fit), but I buy Reefs so that I don't have to wear them in. In the end I decided to trade them in for another pair of Reef slaps, which are wider and offer great arch support. I'm waiting for the day when Reef comes out with a standard flip flop with arch support like the Reef slap, but with more sand and salt water friendly material. I agree with other reviewers: order one size up.

I tried these instead of the Smoothy...not as happy. Will go back to those next time. These aren't bad, just not as comfortable.

Very comfortable right out of the box. Unfortunately: with the application of even the most slight amount of moisture, they squeak. If you dislike squeaky flip-flops like I dislike squeaky flip-flops, look elsewhere. If your feet never sweat and/or you don't mind a pancake layer of disgusting foot powder, purchase at will.

A little tight across the top; mostly a factor of D-width being the maximum width available. Cushioning of strap helps. Tread helps on slippery surfaces. Topside indents immediately. I do not attempt to return if worn more than once. Price is a little high, but these are not the drugstore zoris of my youth. Beats LLBean's model hands down.

Left them out in the sun one day, found them bowed (to layer seemed to shrink while bottom layer didn't) and partially unglued. Sandals that can't take the sun?!

Great sandal but fell apart after 1 year of use

I will be returning them. Put them on once and felt they were to small in width and length

35 bucks and they lasted a while but when they fail like this, not worth it.

Too narrow. Width between straps at back is 2 1/4" on Size 13.

The jury is still out as I am still trying to get used to these. The bottom is very comfortable but like others have experience they are very tight in the top of my foot. They’re also difficult to get on - I have to push them up against a wall so I can slide my foot in. The length and width are fine and I’m hoping the strap loosens up just slightly and they will be comfortable. As of now they are painful to wear and I’ve never experienced this with any other flip flop.
