I used to wear only Johnston & Murphy shoes. They classic look and quality were great. Though pricier than other brands they are steal when compared to Allen Edmonds. This pair will probably be my last pair of J&M's. They aren't just uncomfortable; they fit weird. Tight in the toe box, but loose in other places. It is a shoe designed for someone with cankles.

Comfortable but cheaply made. Leather on it will not last. The first pair I owned came with genuine leather. These have a cheaper grade leather. I do not recommend.

I purchased this shoe to replace the same shoe I had worn for 3 years. my first pair took alot of abuse. A little saddle soap and they looked good as new. These are in no way a replacement. They look exactly the same but are at least half a size smaller. The insole says that it is sheepskin and I believe it but it is the squeakiest insole I have ever owned. I could get past the shoes being slightly too small and even the squeaking as I walk but I can not get past the odor of the shoes. They smell of rubber or glue or something. I thought it would have worn off. I have had the shoes for a number of months and the smell has not dissipated. Time to get new shoes.
