I thought from the review that I would love these, but not so. I found them hard to get into and need something easy to get on. They are really cute though. The color is really gray and dark purple, not ivory and pink as it appears.

I ordered this shoe to take on a trip to Peru and the Galapagos. I wanted a shoe that I could wear comfortably tromping around ruins, on city tours, and on the beaches. I only wanted to have to wear hiking boots for serious hiking like Machu Picchu Mountain. This shoe has accomplished all that, and there was virtually no break in time. The shoe is comfortable, and adjustable with velcro straps, which helps when you want to wear it one day with socks, and the next day without. The sides are open which worried me a bit, but I have now worn it twice while it was raining, and my feet were the warmest part of me, and completely dry. Because it's made of a synthetic material it can get a little sticky, but the openings help with that. They are not the most stylish of shoes; I wear a size 5 and they are a bit wide, and make my feet look like platypus feet. They look the widest at the top of the foot, and I can move my foot over to one side, and you can see that there is about a quarter to half inch of space. This has not affected comfort, however, as by now I have worn them all over Peru, including climbing through ruins and on mountains on a daily basis, and my feet have not gotten tired at all. When I get home, I will wash them, and I am sure they will come through that with flying colors! I recommend these shoes.

I bought these shoes for my Galapagos trip (leaving next week). So far my time in them has been around the house as I waited to decide to keep them. The plus for me is that they are a solid shoe with good foot coverage. I have been wanting a good camp shoe for hiking and a good shoe for canoeing; one that you can beach the canoe and hike into the woods a bit as well. I tried some sandals but worried the straps would stretch when wet and wouldn't feel as solid in the water on my foot. I also appreciate the ease of setting the fit on this shoe and then just 'clipping' in and out rather than resizing each time you put them on. I also LOVE the amount of places to setthe fit: heel, ankle, foot width. It allows it to accomodate wearing socks (horror to my daughters!) or barefoot and the swelling of feet throughout the day and after a long hike. My only isse is, being a waterproof shoe, the sole is not as comfortable to my bare foot. The tread inside the shoe causes some friction but not enough to cause discomfort or a blister; just not as comfortable as a 'squishy' flip flop!

I like the look of these; they have a sneaker look to them without being hot like sneakers. They are comfortable for the most part. However, they do rub a bit at the heel strap on my right foot, because of the way that part slants inward toward the foot. I had to put some anti-rub tape(?) on that area. I don't have the problem with the left foot, although both sandals bend in the same way. It's getting better though after wearing it a few times. I also experienced some rubbing on the outside edge a bit until they were broken in more. The first few times I wore them I could not wear them all day like I have been able to with other Teva sandals I've had. All in all I do like them and am happy with my purchase.

Feels and looks a bit too wide on the toe side. Have to stop to remove small rocks and sand which gets trapped inside, so not extremely too comfortable on a beach walk. Perfect for other types of hiking - bush walk, forest etc. Great on a plane!

Love the color, love the fit with the exception of the strap across the instep. I have a high instep and the strap just doesn't work for me. So as much as I love the look and the rest of the feel, I have to return them.

Just what I was looking for as Dozer II was discontinued. Unfortunately, I'm returning. The part that goes up the back of the heel is very hard and rubbed a sore (not a blister) within minutes of me putting on. I tried adjusting the strap across the heel but that didn't loosen anything but the strap; didn't loosen the elastic fabric that did the damage. Teva needs to bring back the Dozer. Dozer has lower heel design with the same great arch support.

We live in Colorado and work in all various, hot, rocky, sandy terrain...this shoe is comfortable, durable and flexible...and can go from, as they say, work to dinner, still looking good! I bought the lighter color but love this one! I do have a narrow foot, but it is adjustable and fits well over the arch and heel...a little spacious in the toebox but does not slip or slide. I am buying another!

The toe box is larger than I expected but it is a very comfortable summer shoe. I really appreciate the adjustable straps for the heel and instep - very convenient.

First pair of Teva-needed a sandal type shoe that would hold my inserts. Shoe is true to size and I took them out of the box and don't want to take them off. Went out and bought a pair of Teva sandals the next week.

I'm not new the Teva product line but I bought these to for outdoor use and the fact that I suffer from pilanter fasciitis and I have a wide foot. So for no issues and they feel really good.

Good quality, fit well, perfectly fine and would have kept except found something I liked (esthetically) better. It does have a wide, comfortable toe box which feels great but makes foot look big.

Really cute shoe/sandal hybrid. With flat feed (I usually wear orthotics), felt like the back cut up on the back of heel and that bone that juts out on the outside of the ankle. Put in the orthotic and it was better, but don't want to be bringing my orthotics to the beach! Also, felt just 1/4-1/2 size short. Returning for a bigger size.

Loved the brindle coloring of this sandal and like most Tevas this style fit my foot well. The support was good but the heel cup was too deep and dug into my ankle bone no matter what I did to adjust the velcroed strap there. Too bad since this is a great sale price for nice footwear!

Husband loves them except can't wear them w/socks (they're THAT true to size). They are basically adjustable slip on and heel was a bit tight & width adjustment was a bit stiff at first. Would like these w/quick release heel that opens fully. Otherwise? Very comfortable once on and good support. Worked great traveling airports from Pacific Northwest to Romania!

Superior product that I've worn on beaches, in the water, walking a golf course, and climbing/hiking (with rocky terrain). The only thing keeping it from receiving the fifth star is that the position of the buckle, on the outside, makes buckling and unbuckling the shoe a bit difficult and annoying. Otherwise I (we) love the shoe. (My wife has a pair and feels similarly about it, and she does all of the above having had two major foot reconstruction surgeries a few years ago.)

This is my third pair of Teva in this style. Love them for going barefoot when its hot out. Walking in city or country. I wore a pair to hike in the Grand Canyon and was only 50 foot down trail when the sole came off. Went to the Park Store and bought shoe glue its sad to say it did not stick. I removed the sole completely and now use that pair for house shoes. The three adjustable settings can be tricky to find the right adjustment. I wish the cord was bungee type. I where these with jeans capri's and black dress capri's .I'am 55 and go for comfort over style.

I wore these new in the Highlands of Guatamala. They were comfortable from the start with no break-in time needed. We did build stoves there and they probably weren't the best choice for mixing cement and mortar since they let in particles and dirt. That being said, they cleaned up just like new. Very easy to clean and dry! I love them.

The Omnium is a hybrid watershoe-hiker with a lot of excellent features and nice aesthetics. Its most notable feature is its 3 point fastening system (straps at the front and back of the heel and a BOA cord across the top of the foot). The low-profile upper also holds the foot securely in the well-cushioned sole from toe-off to impact. I notice that my foot stays put in the cradle regardless of torsion or angle of impact, whether walking or running, and this is the Omnium's biggest advantage over conventional sandals I've worn while hiking. Of the hybrid hikers I've tried from other manufacturers, I think the Omnium is the best. I have two concerns, however: 1) The midsole doesn't have a shank and it should for hiking through rocky streams (one of the activities it's made for) and for stability generally- especially on a sandal. While the shoe is substantial, I feel rocks through the sole that have hurt my forefoot and that really doesn't cut it. Other Teva sandals have shanks, so why this one doesn't is a mystery to me: the Omnium is their top of the line all-purpose shoe. 2) The outsole rubber is their original Spyder formulation and therefore probably not as sticky as their more recent products. I assume there's some trade-off for durability, then, and mine seem to be holding up well, but I've slipped on some rocks I probably shouldn't have. So, in all I'd say it's a very good product that could use one or two upgrades to make it a truly outstanding flagship shoe for them and a piece of equipment that fills a specific niche for us: an all-purpose watershoe-hiker hybrid that works on all surfaces in and out of water.

These seemed crude. They rub here and there just a bit, and I needed perfection in order to keep them. I have just ordered Keen Voyageurs that I'm keeping, but I wanted something more in the sandle realm so that I wouldn't always have just hot feet. I can't get delicate sandals, because of huge problems with my post-accident knee, ankle, foot, other foot, other knee, back, etc. I think these would maybe work with socks, but why wear sandals at all if you are going to wear socks? I can't give them a 5 for being true to size, when they do that nasty trick of eliminating my size --10.5. How can any shoe be perfect for everyone who is either a 10.5 or an 11? I think they might be a bit on the wide side, so that might be a factor for some people. I consider them okay in width, because they even accommodate my swollen foot. Keen makes better sandals.
I'd also recommend:
Keen, Dansko, and for a more delicate sandal Ecco

Because I have narrow feet, it is very difficult to get a good fit in a shoe, period. I have a pair of Teva "earth" shoes and am wearing them to death, not attractive but comfortable. The Omnium, like the "earth" shoes have a large, rounded box so there is plenty of room for the toes to spread as you walk and to not rub my bunion. This shoe is adjustable in so many ways: heel, instep, and ankle. Had a shock, though, when we had our first real cold spell in Florida and I got a bit of a chill because of the openings on the sides. These shoes might not be good outside in cold weather nor rainy. The shoes are very comfortable everywhere but in the front of my foot, but then I have plantar warts which require extra cushioning. I have never found a shoe that address that. A plus: a good fit without laces! Didn't like paying so much for them, but when I find a shoe that fits, it has to last a long time.
I'd also recommend:
Any brand that would have a narrow with a good size toe box. Ball of the food support would be perfection.

I have the Teva sandals and love them so I got these for more serious walking. I tried the Ahnu - too narrow and the Keen - too clunky. These are just right - and I have bad feet (neuropathy). Good arch support, ample adjustability on instep and heel.

I like the way Keens look, but they run a little small so the biggest size is too short for me. These Tevas are roomy in the toe. I like them for light hiking most of the year. There have been problems with the bottoms coming unglued, so make sure they are on tight before you accept them. My last pair have been fine.
