I wanted to write a review on this shoe and was hoping it was going to be a winner for me, but sadly it isn't. I suffer with PF and have for about 5 years. The only shoe I have found that works for me with the help of powerstep insoles is the New Balance WR1123. I like the comfort of the 1123 well enough, but hate the appearance of the shoe so I keep looking. After reading about this WR1011 I thought it might have a chance. I love the look of the WR1011. I think it looks very sporty and also makes your foot appear smaller, but that is where the love affair ended. I have odd little feet I guess. I call them cabbage patch doll feet. Kind of square and thick and my big toes on both feet kind of tilt up so I have to have a deep and wide toe box. I also have narrower heels so you can imagine it is hard to find shoes. I originally ordered the 8 1/2 D since that is what I wear in the NB WR1123. The minute I put these shoes on I knew I needed the shoe wider and longer. My right foot is the larger foot for me and the big toe was pressing against the side of the toe box. I called Zappos and talked to the very nice and helpful operator. He told me that a half size difference makes the difference of 1/6 of an inch in length. He said to go to the 2E or extra wide would add 1/8 inch in the width so I reordered these shoes in a 9 Extra wide. I got them the very next day and excitedly tried them on. The length and width were perfect so his advice was right, but after trying them for about an hour in the house I couldn't stand them on my bad foot. The footbed seems very hard and they seem to actually curve into the foot in the arch area and press against my foot causing definite discomfort. I tried them with 3 different insoles from prescription to cheap and I just couldn't get any comfort out of them. I need motion control, neutral with some soft cushioning inside and this just wasn't my shoe. I was really disappointed because I loved the look, but I am back on the hunt for something else.

Too narrow in the mid section. This shoe is made on a last with a wide toe box and narrow heel. I found it too narrow in the mid-section and it hurt the side of my foot in the mid section. My big toe also hit the top of the shoe. Otherwise, I liked the styling and cushioning. I ordered this shoe in a 7.5 D, although I normally wear a 6.5 D or 7 B.

Annoying crease developed in a short time - I like the look of the shoe, I am a nurse and do a lot of walking and stooping, on the right shoe it has developed a very annoying crease by the big toe.

These sneaks look great. However, I wore these to staff a conference where I would be on my feet all day and it felt like there were rocks under my arches. These shoes were very uncomfortable and I will be exchanging them for another style. Thankfully, I brought my old sneakers just in case. Always carry back up shoes!
