Love these jeans! The rise is high enough to flatten tummy/get rid of muffin top but not so high that they create "too much derriere." Gorgeous medium-weight denim with just enough stretch for comfort/not too much that they bag at all. Beautiful blue color. Haven't washed yet, but when I do I'll turn inside out, use cold water, and skip the dryer. Nicest looking and fitting pair of jeans I've had in years.

OH. MY. GOODNESS!! I've been searching for the perfect jeans my whole life! Now at 34 yrs old, a mother of 1 I finally found them! If I could afford to buy the whole store I would! The mid-high rise hits just below the belly button and holds all the mom-stuff in. I crouch down, get in and out of the car, sit, stand, walk, run, and the jeans stay in place needing no adjustment! I have no idea how they do this and I don't even care. I'm 5'10, 190 lbs and am usually a 14 or 16 depending on the pants and I ordered a 14. They are just perfect. Snug enough to look sexy but loose enough that they don't cut in. The 33" inseam is perfect for flats, I'd probably want a longer inseam for heels with a bootcut but for the skinny and straight leg they are perfect with heels or with flats. I've worn both pairs a few times and they don't even sag or bag out at the butt or knees or anything! Like I said, I have no idea how they make that happen. I'm just gonna go with it. I ordered 2 pairs from Zappos and am about to order a couple more from the NYDJ website since Zappos doesn't carry all of the options. I wish they did! I love Zappos! These jeans are life changing. Seriously! Definitely worth the money.

I bought my first pair of NYDJ this year and fell in love. These jeans continue my love affair. Love the fit and color - can dress up or down.

I love these jeans, they fit wonderfully, with nice stretch not only in the hips and legs but also in the waste, yet hold their shape beautifully. They are long so, since I'm 5'6" and I'm not typically in 5 inch heels I had to get them shortened.

Love these jeans. I'm 37, 5'6" 140 and got the 6. They fit absolutely perfectly. I'm not into the ultra-low waisted super-tight jeans, so I was relieved to find these. They're still stylish without being uncomfortable. One thing to mention is that the jeans are way too long - 4" too long. I've ordered a 6P to see if the length will work better.

The perfect jean has arrived! I thought the other reviews were true good to be true, but they aren't! I'm 5'9, 155 lbs, I have hips and a bootie, and run between a size 6 and an 8 so I sized down to a 6 as was recommended in other reviews. They arrived, I put them on, and perfection! I have had two kids and most jeans sit below my belly button a couple of inches and I'm constantly pulling them back up to cover my lower stomach. These cover that tricky area perfectly while still looking very stylish and modern. They are also the perfect length! The color is perfect (dark denim) and I'm thrilled! Ordering another pair!

Really comfy jean! I am average height and needed to hem...should have gotten the shorter pair. Love the look and feel great in them.

I love the fit, I love the color, not faded or worn out, like so many jeans, and they washed up great! The only improvement I can think of is if they also came in khaki so I could wear them to work!

These jeans are awesome! Why did I wait so long? My favorite jeans have been a pair of DKNY, mid-rise, boot leg jeans, but being almost 50, I find the old muffin top is making the jeans pretty uncomfortable. I went on a jean search and found these NYDJ. I read a bunch of the reviews, and combined with Zappos' awesome free shipping & return policy, decided I couldn't go wrong! The jeans arrived today, and with everyone out of the house, I tried them on and...I'm in love! I'm 5'3", 160lbs, and the size 8 is perfect. They totally look like the fashionable jeans of my youth (!), but...no muffin top! If you're on the fence, you must hop off and buy a pair of these jeans. As for me, I'm hopping over the order page to buy another pair!

These jeans fit well and are exactly as described. Since I am 5' 2" tall, I had to have the jeans hemmed since they are available only in a 32" inseam.

I am normally very cheap and never spend this amount of money on jeans. However, after purchasing these jeans I am tempted to buy another! They are ridiculously comfortable and I can honestly say that I love them.

I had my doubts about paying this much for jeans, but as soon as I got them on and added a hip-length blazer, it was immediately apparent that they were worth it! Good fit, true-to-size. Nice color. They are a bit long but that's easy enough to fix.

I'd buy these jeans again in a heartbeat. They fit me perfectly. I've always preferred the higher waist, they tuck in my belly just enough to make me look flat; the legs are boot cut, which to me means a relaxed but sexy fit. The regular length is perfect for my 5'9" frame, as I mostly tend to wear flat heels. I bought a size 8 and I weigh 153 lbs. These are definitely my go-to jeans.

I am a very hard to fit body style because I am short/petite and then most jeans are extremely long or too baggy or too low in the waist. I like a pair of jeans that move with you without looking like they move with you. Some fabrics that have a look of can have weird texture about them that makes the jeans look unflattering or the material has a weird feel to them. NYDJ Has the look and feel like Levi's without the stiffness or that is super low rise that can be uncomfortable to wear. I am an very active person and the fact that I can move about easily makes wearing these jeans super comfortable. If you are 5' to 5'3 the NYDJ petites are better because you do not end up having to have them altered at the bottom length. I was so happy with the first pair that I got I ended up ordering two other pairs in two other colors. I am very pleased, and will definitely order again!

I heard on the Nate Berkus show that you only needed one good pair of jeans and they recommended Not Your Daughters Jeans so I googled them and Zappos was the cheapest! I was still thinking, boy that's a lot of money, but figured I could send them back if they weren't great. I received them the very next day, best jeans I have ever owned by far. Worth every dime. Love.

I am a mature lady, and these are the best fitting jeans I have had in many years. I can wear them all day at work and into the evening without them pinching my legs or feeling too tight. I love these jeans! I now have four pairs (one white) and plan to order more for the winter. I did have to order one size larger than I normally wear, but they fit great and don't lose their shape during the day.

I really don't need the tummy tuck feature of NYDJ but find they are a flattering fit. They are also very comfortable and well made.

These are the ultimate jeans. Perfect fit. I own 5 different style pants by Not Your Daughter's Jeans. I wonder if it is so difficult for other designers to have the cut so perfect as well. The size is your real size, you do not have to buy it smaller or bigger. It looks and feels awesome.

Love these jeans, well worth the money. They are stretchy but do not stretch out during the day. Intend to buy more!

These jeans are great, couldn’t say more about them. I’m 5’6” and have a difficult time finding jeans that are long enough, most jeans I’ve found usually run a 32" inseam in a regular. (Talls are way too long and have to be altered.) However, these jeans offer a 33" inseam, which is perfect for almost any heel or boot. I have the same jeans in the brown and black with the embellishment down the sides. They are dressy enough for me to even wear to work because they do not look like jeans. Zappos is great, too. I ordered a pair of these jeans for my sister in the wrong size. Before I could even return the wrong size to them, they had already shipped the correct size to me without charging me for both pair of jeans! My sister is a size 14, and they fit her perfectly, too. They hold in your stomach and do not stretch out of shape, which is a huge plus!!! I would recommend ordering a size smaller than you usually wear so that the tummy tuck can actually fit snug, they have enough stretch in the fabric to allow a little give, but do not stretch out, especially around the waist.

I'm 55 and relatively slender (size 6), but the currently popular low cut jeans don't look that good and are not very comfortable. These jeans have a higher waist and are more comfortable - and, nothing hangs over the top. I am 5'6" and wear low heels and the length was great. A slightly heavier weight denim would be nice for winter.

I LOVE these jeans. They tend to run a size small, since I am an 8, but I take a 6 in these. They are a great color and very well made. You will have them for years.

My error. These jeans are much wider on the bottom of the leg than what I thought they would be. The next pair I ordered, I ordered the straight leg & followed the advice of other customers to order a size smaller than what I normally wear. They fit perfect & are much more flattering. Zappos was very prompt with my order and I received them the next day. Great job! I love Zappos!
