I purchased these boots for 6 weeks of geologic field camp in the Utah mountains near Park Pity, and Utah and Nevadan deserts. These boots met the expectations laid out in nearly every review. \r\n\r\nOverall: 5 stars hands down.\r\n\r\nPros: Extremely and extraordinarily comfortable, I often wore these boots 6 days a week, 10 hours a day in 90+ degree weather. These boots kept my feet dry with good socks, and fairly cool with all socks. Good ankle support and good lacing patterns conform to provide excellent support during 20-30 degree slope mountain climbing and 5-10 mile hikes up and down slopes without constricting feet. Break-in time for boots less than a DAY, these boots fit well out of the box. Shoe tread provides AMAZING grip, especially on unconsolidated soil and weathered rock. For some reason, resists burrs and grass seeds; gaiters are not needed even in desert scrub or chapparal vegetation. Sole attachment is of very high quality, multiple people in the field camp split boot soles, I did not.\r\n\r\nCons: Shoe seems to be a half-size bigger than other Adidas sizes. Tread wears faster than expected when climbing sheer rock. Not 100 percent waterproof as advertised, but fairly close. A tinge heavier than other boots (expected due to size).\r\n\r\nNeither pro nor cons: Black. Only Black. Can get hot while resting feet in the desert sun, however resists staining and colour well.

I wear a 13 B (narrow) boot. My size is very difficult to find. Very few boots fit me well. Those that do are too heavy for what I need them for. I recently opened my own business. I am a training consultant in many fields to include Fitness and Self-Defense. In my line of business boots need to fit well and they have to be very light. I have been in the Army for 29 years (15 active; 14 in Reserves); I have never had a boot that fit me this well. When they arrived I put them on and went for a 5 mile speed walk. I cut 10 minutes off of my time. Everyone thought the boots had springs in them. After that I kicked the Muay Thai Heavy Bag for 20 minutes. It felt like I have gloves on my feet. The boots did not tear up the bag like the other boots I have. They feel like boxing shoes. In summary, I recommend these boots to everyone that needs a high performance tactical boot. Too bad they do not come in dark tan or coyote color. I hope this information is of help to all of you.

The bonus is they also look awesome.

Awesome...
I looked long and hard for the perfect shoe…and this is it! Tough and comfortable. I’ve owned them two months.
So far I have...
… Crossed shallow creeks where the water was ankle high, all kinds of snow, ice and puddles- feet stayed dry.
… Climbed snow covered trees and they gripped better than anything I had previously experienced.
... Walked all day on NYC pavement with no fatigue.
... Even played soccer with them and they where "ok" considering, not a scratch on them.
Most highly recommended.

Great Boot!
I wear my GSG-9.2s everywhere and they always feel great. Out of the box broken in and very light and comfortable, these are just the ticket for all purpose day to day operations.
Not the right boot for hunting, hiking long distances or mud and slush, (not waterproof) these boots fill the need for a quality everyday boot to go do your thing and not notice your feet. Total comfort and a very strong made boot, these feel like tennis shoes but are extremely tough. Every working man wants the perfect boot and this is it. Police, construction workers, truck drivers, postal workers, if you are out there doing it, you will love these Adidas boots.

GREAT SHOE -
I am a RN and walk about 10 miles per 12 hour shift. I needed a shoe that was durable and comfortable with good support. Not exactly a traditional nursing shoe, however I can wedge my foot between stretcher and bed frames to release the breaks without as much as scuffing the shoe. When I get home I can spray them off with disinfectant and wipe dry, and the next morning they still look new. They feel more like a tennis shoe than a boot and at the end of my shift my feet are not sore and tired and shoe still looks great!

Duty boots -
Very comfortable, true to size and narrow width. Only took a few days to "break in" much better than Magnums, Bates, etc. Highly recommend. Easy to run (foot chase) in.

These boots run narrow. Normally wear a size 10.5 or 11 in running shoes and ordered these boots in a size 11 and was unsatisfied with the fit. They run narrow, especially in the toe box and can create some discomfort because of this.
Otherwise the boots are great in terms of looks, durability, and footing. I've used them on snow, ice, mud, and concrete for double shifts many days as a correctional officer and can only complain about the narrow sizing and the lack of a side zip option.

Great looking boots however they were not wide enough for my foot. I usually wear a 9.5. I tried a size 9 and 10 and both were too narrow.

If you have a large big-toe and/or want to wear thicker socks, go up a half size. The toe "ceiling" is low. The heel is a bit hard for someone who is a frequent sneaker wearer. If you aren't sure about the right size or you are in a hurry, buy two sizes: your usual size and a half-size up. The return process is made easy.

This seems like a decent enough shoe/boot hybrid, but it feels narrower & shorter than other brands I've worn at the same size. I normally wear a 10.5 in most brands, which is what I ordered here. They initially just seemed a little tight from needing to be broken in, but once the leather softened up, I found that my forefoot, at the ball of of my foot, actually was sitting on top of the edges of the soles. So, if you tend to run a little wide at the front of your foot, be aware of this & order a half size up. Some thicker socks should make up for the extra room, as they seem to be smaller all around than other 10.5 sizes I've worn. After having them for around six months now, the tread on the soles is already losing some of the pattern. This is only wearing them around town, at work, & around the house. However, I'm six feet tall & 235 pounds, so that is probably a factor in the early wear.

The boots are really cool. I'm 11.5, but Zappos only had size 11. The size 11 is a snug fit, but they work. The left boot makes my left ankle really sore if I've been walking around a lot, but I guess I'm still breaking them in. These boots are versatile because you can wear them seriously for field work and look professional, or you can wear them for style and have a rocker look to you. They're also perfect in the snow!

Very comfortable to wear and walk in. Fashion-wise, they look more like high-top sneakers than combat boots. They could use speedlaces or a zipper; loosening and tightening the laces to get into them every morning gets old, and there\'s a tendency to bulge at the middle of the tongue.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Great boots. Very comfortable. Only problem is getting them on as they don't zip. Might help if they had quick laces as you could undo them more to put on. Always afraid I am damaging them when forcing my foot into them.

These boots are great for patrol work. Light weight and supportive. However, standing and walking all shift (10 hrs) on concrete can be a chore. I was expecting a running/athletic shoe feel. I didn't really get that feel from the cushioning. Need more cushioning for this environment! With that said, these are still a good duty boot for transitioning from car to calls. These are better than any patrol boot thus far due to the support and lighter weight (Danner, Magnum etc...). I would highly recommend these for patrol vs. corrections. Rocky's TMC line are the best for shock absorbency in a corrections environment.

Great duty boot. Superior to other makers of "police" boots (I've tried them all). Very comfortable, lightweight, breathes well, even good in very cold weather, runs narrow. I have a huge/narrow foot. Seems if you have a size 14 foot, shoe makers think you should be a D-EE width. Adidas got it right with this one. Highly recommend. Only downside is no "zip side" available.

The look of these boots is fantastic, but I still have to see if a full size larger than what I usually wear will work. They came really tight, even when all the laces were loosened. However, they look rugged, so I shall try again with a full size larger.

I liked the fit, but the shoe had no breathability. Also, it took too long to take on and off with significant amounts of lacing required up the ankle. They look very menacing, which is cool, but not enough comfort for me.

Falsely advertised!
NOT WATERPROOF!
It even lies on the very boot, but a little bit of snow and you are drenched inside. How do they get away with it?! Zappos should change description, this boot is slightly water resistant, not anywhere near being waterproof. This is a summer hiking boot and nothing else.

These boots feel great, fit great, and were super light. I really liked them for the first 3 months, but then it went all wrong. The heel pockets inside both boots started to tear. Those heel pockets continued to wear out, and then ultimately there was no inner liner (heel pocket area) at all. I would have continued to wear them, but my achilles tendons began to ache, and the tendons became injured.

I've used these boots on daily 5-6km dog-walks from october to february for 5 years, and they've still got a few seasons left in them. Keep the leather well maintained and they are quite resistant to wet conditions. I live in Norway where it can get quite wet and muddy in autumn. I've also gone over the seams with Aquasure where the sole meets the leather in the front at the start of every season.
The boots are very comfortable with a flexible sole which stiffens up in freezing temperatures. They offer little in support, so I don't use them for hikes carrying more than a light daypack, but for this purpose they are great!
