Love these hiking boots! I work outside and am on my feet all day and needed something that would hold up well and allow me to easily walk through construction sites. These are great! Love the blue color and the low ankle so I don't get too hot in the summer. Only drawback is that they're not super waterproof, but otherwise wonderful! I've worn them all day, every day for several months, in rough conditions, and they've held up pretty well. One piece of rubber on the bottom is starting to peel off, but it doesn't impact the performance of the boot.

I love Keens!! I always wear the sandals but needed something for the winter. The front part of my foot is wider and I have had good luck getting Keens to fit most of the time. These indeed have a wider front and fit my feet. They are a little stiff, but that's probably because I am used to wearing my 3-year-old-well-worn-in sandal. Hopefully they relax soon.

I like how this shoe looks, and it's got great tread. The arch support could be better for my high arches, but what caused me to return them was a rise in the insole on the lateral side of the shoe, that almost felt as if the arch support was on the wrong side. After wearing in the house for a while, I decided that this was uncomfortable enough that I could not adjust to it.

Wanted to like this shoe - bought my husband a pair last year and he loves them. My feet are small and a slightly on the wide side. Ordered them a 1/2 size up in medium -no wide available - there never are. Too narrow and short in the toe box and almost too wide in the heel plus not as comfortable as I would like for long hikes, They are very supportive and on the stiff side with lots of toe protection like most Keens. Not the shoe for me.

I got these for hiking in the Azores. I settled on them after trying three other pairs. I have narrow feet, so I always have a pretty hard time. I am happy with the fit of these with insoles. They could be a little lower where my outer ankle bone hits the shoe, but no blisters on the trip. They provided a no slip grip on muddy and rocky paths. I really appreciate the good service by Zappos. I have loved a pair of Keen sandals - I wish that these had those elastic shoelaces.

I bought these shoes based on the recommendations on zappos. However, I found them really clunky. I wore them several times and they just wouldn't loosen up. I am a huge Keen fan, but these shoes just never quite made it. The laces on the right foot felt too low and the shoe always felt loose. I ended buying Merrill waterproof Moab, and I love them.

I love the look and quality of the shoes. The toe box is wide, which is what I need. Unfortunately I will be returning these as they are too short in the length and my big toe rubs at the end of them.

Nice and sturdy but digs into my ankle on the side. I need a mid high boot. Keen makes a great functional product shoe.

I had to return these shoes. I was looking for a replacement for my beloved Keen Mesh Amblers. I do not understand why they stopped making the Ambler. They are the most comfortable Keens out there. I keep searching for them online, to no avail. Apparently I'm not the only one who loved them. What made the Ambler great is that the heel is somewhat rounded, so if you strike hard with your heel and aren't much of a "high stepper," your step is very fast and natural and flowing. The Ambler made this easy and comfortable, because of the more rounded heel. I look at the rear view of all these Keens, and the heels are all very squared off, and even overcompensate with a flattened platform or something really weird. Please, Keen -- re-release the Ambler!

These are so ugly! I generally dislike the look of Keens because of these duck look with the black rubber toe, but I ordered these anyway because I really needed hiking boots with a wide toe box. I have bunions and bunionettes and so I need either wide width shoes or a brand that has a wide toe box. A friend recommended Keens because of the wide toe box. I got size 9 which is generally what I wear in hiking boots but they were very large. My normal dress shoe size is 8 or 8.5 and I'd recommend ordering your dress shoe size not your athletic shoe size. The heel was also very wide and my heel slipped when I walked. I have wide toes but a normal heel. They didn't fit right and they were ugly. So I sent them back. I recommend for those who need wide width the brand Lowa. They have a wide toe box and also make wide width boots. Or for people with regular width feet. I recommend the Merrell Salida Mid Waterproof boots They are are lightweight like these boots and seem breathable and even better they are waterproof too and are much cuter! But they were too narrow for my feet.

I love Keens, and was looking for something similar to the Presidio. These fit fine (I always go 1/2 size smaller with Keens) and they are very supportive. I have flat, wide feet, and my main complaint is that these are a bit stiff, and they are higher in the heel. Pretty nice that they make me feel tall, but I'm not looking for active shoes that make my feet slide forward in the shoe. A few hours into wearing them, my feet are pretty uncomfortable (I'm hoping to break them in further). They're not the worst, but I will try these with a new insole.

I ordered these shoes because of the rave reviews regarding the arch support. I have exceptionally high arches and pronate, so I thought these shoes would be the ticket!
Unfortunately, the arch supports are not enough, even with special insoles. They are exceptionally stable and supportive, and offer a delightful amount of space in the toe box.
I'll keep them for the stability and comfort, but I'm bummed to realize an investment in fancy arch supports is in my future.

Fit like a glove out of the box. Arch support and padding are exactly what I was looking for. Good for hiking and in snow. Would consider buying a second pair before model is revamped/disappears.

I've taken these on several trips to Europe. I have fallen three times while wearing these shoes: the first time on wet stone steps, the second on a "dry" hike when I stepped on a rock, and the third, on a grassy slope. The fault may have been the slick surfaces, but I also started to question the grip factor of these shoes. So I've ordered Merrell's Moab with Vibram sole. They appear to have a better grip factor, and I really don't like falling and risking injury. These are comfortable shoes (I ordered one full size up to wear with thick socks); my complaint is the sole doesn't seem to grip certain surfaces.

I love Keens and needed something for walking in Europe, but they were very bulky and made my feet look twice as big as they are! I wear a size 9. Not my taste at all. That being said, they were comfortable but not as cushy on inside as I would hope. If they weren't so bulky I would have kept them. I have a few pair of Keen's and have always liked them.

These shoes have a comfortable toe box and I can easily slip my orthotics in and out. I also think they are aesthetically pleasing. Unfortunately, I find the outer edge if each tongue irritates the tops of my feet. The heel is wide and does slip a bit.

I ordered a half size smaller and they fit well except for the heel. As other reviews have mentioned, the heel slips a bit. I ordered the charcoal and was happy they were darker rather than lighter. I like the looks and am planning on wearing them to work as and emergency room nurse. They are certainly sturdy enough and I am hoping they are comfortable enough for long shifts. As far as Zappos service, it was wonderful. Received the next day. How do they do that?

I also own Brooks and Mizuno for running, but mostly Keen.

I purchased a 9 and 9.5. Both have heel slippage for me. Toe box is great for my wide foot. I felt the 9 was a better overall fit but I was worried about downhill hikes. My toes were just a bit too close. So I kept the 9.5. They are too large. I decided to keep even with the heel slippage. I am using those rubber heel pads which helps but I still feel the shoe is large. I have plantar fasciitis and my foot is not bothered by these...I currently do not use orthotics but they would definitely fit in these shoes, which was another reason I decided to stick with the 9.5. I intend to use as a daily wear shoe and light hiker. For longer hikes I need a more stable shoe/boot.

I love these shoes, they are comfortable right out of the box, lightweight, fit my slightly wide foot no problem - they deserve all of the 5 star reviews. However...I've owned my pair about 7 months and over the last month or so the tread that comes just over bottom side edge has started to separate from the side of the shoe. It's easily fixed with a little super glue, but I don't think it should be happening, so one star off for me.

I love these shoes. But they were hard won. It seems that each style of Keens fits slightly differently, even if from the outside, the shoe looks the same. I had to order and try on several pairs in two sizes to find the right fit and comfort. In the end, this style held true to size for me.

I wasn't sure about keeping these as they fit somewhat like a men's shoe, that is, they are fairly deep and the collar rubs on the ankle bone. They are very well padded, so this doesn't hurt, but I thought it might be annoying if I wore them all day. Anyway, it's a moot point, as they were so comfortable that I wore them so much they were beyond returning. Lots of support and lots of room for an orthotic, but not sloppy too big. If you don't have orthotics, I might suggest trying a 1/2 size smaller.

My foot is narrow so any average sized shoe will tend to feel large. I just wear these with heavy socks and they are perfect for my needs, standing 8 hours a day, walking in wet grass and gardening.

Great hiking shoe! Very durable but not bulky or heavy. Good arch support. They are a little wide in the ankle but I have narrow feet.

Love Keen shoes even though they are wide and a bit funky looking. Bought these for hiking but they are better for walking which I do a lot of. They feel a bit sloppy for hiking. I would like a tighter fit for more support. For some reason the left shoe really hurt the top of my foot for about the first 20 miles of breaking them in. I couldn't see a thing wrong so it was hard to figure out. But now they are great. Love the colors too. I would give 5 stars but because of the left shoe hurting I can't.

Although I've only worn them once, they seem comfortable for long walks. The toe area (box) is nice and roomy. And they accommodated my arch insert nicely. My only issue is that the heel slips.
