I have bought at least 10 pairs of the voyageur. It is by far the most comfortable hiker I have owned. It performed great on my trips to Alaska, Rocky Mtn NP, Acadia NP and Smoky Mtn NP. My only suggestion would be that I like the air flow provided by the mesh insert but it does not hold up very well in the heal cup and once it tears you are feeling the hard construction underneath. Would love to see a more durable fabric in that area.

I've been wearing Voyageur boots for years and am happy to say the soles are lasting longer than before. They are comfortable, don't slip on rocks and dry quickly after walking through streams. I wear them on day hikes and backpacking trips in Arizona and Colorado, in desert and mountain terrain, all year long.

Ive worn Keens for decades and agree with the other comments that they are no longer manufactured well. My old Voyageurs gave out and I bought a new pair in August. I made the mistake of buying them New in Box from eBay - the shoes were definitely new, they had that new shoe smell, no wear, tags, padding, etc. But since they came from an auction site, the warranty wont cover them. The entire sole of the left foot is tearing off and an area of the right sole is also separating. Ive only worn them maybe 6 times and only one of those times was a short hike. So disappointed! Sadly, Keen is one of the few manufacturers that makes a super wide footbed :( I had just purchased the Voyageur Mids too for longer distance hiking and hope they dont also fail. At least those came directly from Keen!

Just about the most comfortable walking/hiking shoe Keen makes straight out of the box. No need to "wear" these in.

Absolutely love the Voyageur Vented, but I ordered the exact same size as my previous pair and this time they're a half size short. I've been wearing them loosely laced anyway. I also had the same experience with a pair of sandals. Has there been a change in manufacturing?

This shoe had a great wide toe box which is what brought me to Keen in the first place. I tried both a 7 1/2 and a 7 and both slipped in the heel even with thick socks. Over the years Keen shoes that were once great for my wide feet have become more narrow. Why not offer wide width as an option in sizes? I found the women's Newport sandal to have become more narrow as well and after years of ordering those they are no longer an option. I've now gone to Teva for sandals and Hoka for walking shoes.

The were very stiff and uncomfortable, not enough arch support and too short. The color is much darker than what appears online.

Have loved Keens for years. I have generally been able to find some model that accommodates my narrow heel while also having a wide toe box. I have had no luck lately. This model has a wide enough and long enough toe box, but fits tightly on the dome-like part of the foot, too tightly for me. It might be because of my orthotics, but probably is mainly because of a bone spur. Tried lacing them differently, which sometimes helps, but couldn't find a way to not put pressure on the bone spur. Ended up instead with Oboz Sawtooth x Low B-Dry Waterproof low hiker. It looks and feels more like a hiking boot, has a wide toe box and an extra hole for the lace to keep the boot tighter on my heel, and I can re-lace it to take pressure off the top of my foot.

Felt true to size, with wide toe box. However, the lateral (outer side) of the shoe is raised, and places incorrect support to the outside of the foot. Very disappointing. Keens used to be my go-to brand for sturdy hiking shoes.

Nothing like a KEEN. I'm in my early 60's and have been wearing KEENS for 20 years now. I generally wear a size 10 in athletic shoes, but felt as if I needed to try the 10.5 in the Voyageur just to confirm. Similar to other people, my heel was slipping in the 10's and I could only imagine that would increase as the shoe was worn. These will be my warm weather hikers so a light weight sock in the 10's will be perfect. Plan on wearing them daily to completely break them in before hiking around the alps.

I am so bummed about these boots. I loved them and the fit was almost perfect - but the toe box is just too shallow and my big toe hits the top where the rubber covers the toe. They are not too short, just not high enough for my foot. I have never had this problem with other Keen shoes or boots. Otherwise, they are great. The heel fits and there is a roomy toe box. I got these because my Targhee III are just too wide in the heel and they slop around no matter how tightly I tie them. i have tied them tight enough to make my feet ache and they still slip around. The Voyageur fits much better, aside from the toe box. A larger size would be too big. So....it's back to trying to find a decent book for 2-4 mile walks with my dogs. Keen used to fit me right out of the box but they have "upgraded" their styles in the past three years and now they are hit or miss. Too bad. My other issue is the delivery. I used to get 1-2 day VIP shipping. Now I get "VIP" shipping that takes 7-10 days in some cases and the shoes arrive from the post office in a bag and a plain cardboard box with no info whatsoever about the shoes inside and anotice saying "this box was used because the box was damaged during delivery." So I may start using another company in the future. I used to love Zappos but now that they are owned by the big A they seem to have the same issues.

I first bought a size 8, my normal size, but it was too short in the right shoe so I replace with an 8.5 and altho the length is better the whole shoe is bigger. Working with the laces to get it to fit correctly. In my case the 8 was the lighter color and the 8.5 is really dark. (figures I prefer the lighter color) I keep thinking shoes are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get!

I've started out with a pair of Keens probably 18 years ago and have worn them almost daily. That pair didn't wear out structurally but finally got grease or something on them, so I bought another similar style (Voyageur) in 2017. The fit is great, but I wish they hadn't made them look quite so bulky (more rubber or something). The rubber that wraps around the toe started separating from the shoe about a year ago. I contacted Keen and was told that the shoes weren't made to last more than about 5-6 years (which it hadn't been yet - and the old ones certainly lasted a lot longer). I asked to be put in contact with their quality control people and was amazed to receive an email from someone in that department telling me to use Marine or Barge glue to repair the separation (because it allows flexibility). I did the repair myself, but in retrospect I wish I'd used a cobbler as you can see where the glue squeezed out onto the show. To sum this review up, I think the quality has gone down (glue maybe?), but I'm still going to order another pair and give them another chance.

These shoes could use more padding in the insole. Other than that , they are nice fitting and wide enough in the toe box for long hours of wear on the trails.

Love these shoes. However they did run very slightly small in the toe. The toe on one foot lightly grazes the toe box of the shoe. Even so, they are comfortable and fit the purpose I got them for. I like everything about them, but that is why I couldn't give 5 stars.

They are perfect for their arch support, but not as pliable as other Keen shoes. I was looking for another hiker that Keen offers and these were similar. This type has proven to be less flexible or comfy. I can't wear them very long due to their stiffness. Hopefully, they will loosen up as I beak them in. A good hiking shoe and fair in appearance. Excellent shoe if you need the arch support. Works well on the dirt trails.

This is the first pair of Keens I have purchased. This brand usually runs too narrow for my foot especially in the toe box. This shoe is wide enough for my toes but I noticed after wearing for the first time they are a bit snug in the arch area of my foot. Hopefully this will not be a problem and the shoe will give a little after some ware.

Very sturdy shoe, but not meant for low volume feet or narrow heels. I went with Merrell Siren Edge, a much narrower and less bulky shoe. This will be my 4th pair over the last 10 years. (

Out of all the Keen's hiking shoes I've tried, these seem to work best (lo rise versus mid that cuts into my shin, ankle bones or top of foot). However, since I need a waterproof shoe and these can't be waterproofed because of the mesh I must return them. Sadly.

I really wanted to keep these Keen voyagers, unfortunately, they were too wide for me. The size/length was just right. I wear a pair of Keen sandals and I love them! I will continue to look for another style like this that will hopefully fit better.

Nice ? shoe for the right feet. Stylish and had some what of an arch support. Toe box excellent without being to big. Only issue was the height of the shoe around the ankle bone. Too high and caused irritation right off the bat. Had to return.
