I ordered a half size larger and it fit perfectly. I expected to order larger for thick socks, but I don't think that will work. They will work w/standard socks though. VERY comfortable. These are my new go to hiking shoes!

They were very comfortable, just a slight big. I normally wear a 10 1/2 or 11. the 11 was a little too big. I'm going to try the voyageur shoe in a 10 1/2.

Run super small!! I am a size 6, ordered a 7 after reading some of the reviews, had to return them for a 7.5. That is one size and a half bigger than my usual size. These hiking boots are cute, good grip, kinda stiff in the inside, haven't wore them yet for a hike that can give me a better opinion about comfort and purpose. Love the style and color so far! I wish it had better arch support.

A little wide and made my feet look so, but kept me warm and dry as I was deep sea fishing and hiking in Alaska. They are kinda heavy though, so I wouldn't use them for dry hikes.

Toe box is wider, roomier than most. Good for my little toes (hammer toes). Medium width is great. Voyageur has a wider toe box than other Keen (Koven Mid) and Merrell boots (Salida and Siren). I tried on this order. Order half size up from regular shoes.

I really like these hiking boots, my feet feel very stable walking in the woods or on the sidewalk. I would recommend them to anyone with weak ankles. They are very light weight too.

I ordered a half size up. Very comfortable boot, shaft hits heel/ankle area at a comfortable height. The boot was wider than expected to the extent that I was afraid of not having enough support. My foot was moving to the side within the shoe even with thick socks. Have to return them.
I'd also recommend:

Not just Keen but other brands I have bought lately have really hard insoles that are cheap. I bought a size up and they fit okay but I had to change the insoles which is not cheap. I bought a pair of Bogs that should be the ultimate in comfort since they are rubber, but they place an insole inside that is no better than a thick piece of cardboard. I could go on but I am wondering if anyone else feels this.

These are my first hiking boots with a lower cut. So far I've just been on light hikes with them and I'm happy with the comfort and support. I did end up returning the first pair I ordered and sized up. For me, Keen seems to run a full size too small.

I love this hiking boot! It's light and comfortable...and too short! I wear an 11, so I have no alternative but to send it back. Please Keen...either make larger sizes for us to choose from or be more generous with the length of your shoes! I have 4 pairs of very comfortable Keen shoes from 2-3 years ago that fit just fine. I'm a very disappointed customer right now.

Finally, shoes with plenty of room in the toe box! I usually have to get Wide or men's styles so my toes don't get squished, but then my heel slips. No good solution 'til I found these. One little detail that maybe no one thinks about are the laces. They are textured, not smooth, so they don't loosen or come untied until you want them to. Nice! The only issue I had with these is that the top of the boot at the ankle is quite rigid and minimally padded. This caused some serious discomfort to my Achilles tendon when hiking down steep slopes, which I remedied by leaving the top hooks unlaced. After a little breaking in, they have softened up and the problem has greatly diminished. I would still buy them again because there is nothing out there more generous to your toes. Zappos rocks!

Looking for a good shoe for day hikes in Colorado and Utah. This shoe was great looking but the toe box was a little large for me and the heel stiff. I went with the Merrell Cham Arc II Mid instead. It fit perfectly, was cushioned in all the right places. Also, I had to size up 1/2 for both boots.

This boot has very good arch support, nice padding at the ankle, and is fairly light weight. It is too wide for me, though, and I didn\'t care for the appearance of the tongue fold.

I wear through a pair of Keen hiking boots once a quarter (walk 3-6 miles per day). I preferred the fit of the Genoa Mid but these have more rugged soles, better lacing, and they breathe a lot better than Keens with Keen Dry waterproofing too. Always good quality and of course exchanges are no big deal with Zappos but I think I\'m done with Keen due to the erratic sizing. I normally wear an 8 or 8.5 in shoes; Keen 8.5 is slightly too tight and 9 is way too big. I went with the larger size and eventually these conformed to my feet. They\'re still a little big (have to lace very tightly with foot as far forward as possible to avoid rubbing on the sides of the insole) and they felt like clown shoes for the first few weeks.

Very comfortable and stylish enough to wear off the mountain. Just did my first hike in these and they were great! My only complaint is that they dig into your Achilles tendon a bit.

This is the 3rd pair of these boots I’ve purchased. I used them as work boots (landscape gardener) and I use them to hike in. I buy them a 1/2 size larger because I like a roomy toe bed and because after breaking in and getting wet they shrink and mold to my feet. I generally get a year’s use out of a pair.

Love my Keen Voyageur mid boots, as in I really love them. The color is fab and they are so comfortable; if they had spike heels I'd go dancing in them! Also, FYI, Zappos customer service is awesome; they're my new best friends.

I like these hiking shoes, but I couldn't wear them the second day because they had rubbed my skin raw just above the ankle. I had soft, tall socks on, but the friction was still evident the next day. I have very small ankles, so maybe I need to tighten them up a bit. I'll keep trying. Just disappointed that I couldn't wear them two days in a row.

Keens are my favorite as I have a wide foot and not much of an arch. But, I feel that Keen has changed the placement of the arch and the rise itself - making them uncomfortable. Unfortunately, this pair had an indentation on top of the right toe box which hit the top of my toes so I had to return them.

I have owned and worn several pairs of Keen shoes. My last pair of boots purchased 2011 have traveled many happy trails. I decided to try Voyageur mid/sister to Targhee. The boot is definitely lighter and love the custard yellow trim. I wear 8 in most shoes but require 8.5 w/Keen brand. This style is a little short for 8.5 and I'm disappointed as wore them out the day they arrived. I won't be able to wear them hiking and will probably give them away. Maybe the next pair will be a better cut --but I'm starting to notice Keen is not consistent with size. Come on Keen! You can fix this!

The boots do not work well for narrower feet, especially if the rear part of your foot and the heel is a bit slimmer than average. I do not wear narrow sizes in other shoes, but these are just a bit wide for my foot. The insole needs to be replaced, like another reviewer mentioned. Very little arch support and the outside in the ball/toe area is not cut straight, and gets thinner which caused blisters under the small toes. I kind of made them fit by buying a Superfeet insole and wearing the thickest smartwool hiking socks.I still have to stop every 2 miles and re-tighten the laces. They may work better for a wider foot. I'm buying the Merrell Moab Ventilator mid to replace these, as they fit my foot better and have a much better insole.
I'd also recommend:
