Shoes are great, and have held up well for 2 years of hiking. These remained water free when my wife\'s feet were soaked after hiking through lots of mud in June in the Rockies. Would definitely recommend these boots!

Unfortunately, this shoe runs narrow. You should probably buy a size wider than your regular width. I thought that the problem that I was experiencing was simply due to a break-in period; however, this is not the case. No problem with Zappos service, but thinking that the shoe would become more comfortable with wear, I failed to take advantage of the return policy.

I love these boots! I caught them on sale (as usual from Zappos). Great price, great boot and awesome shipping efficient. Zappos rocks!

Purchased last minute for a hiking trip to Zion. The size 16 was just right for my size 15 foot. I do grow still at sixty? There was no breaking in needed as they were comfortable immediately! The fit, comfort, grip on rock and uneven surfaces was excellent! After a 5 mile hike, my feet were smiling! Would recommend to anyone.

I love this boot. Comfortable out of the box. I have a large wide foot. The first time I wore these boots was when we got a foot and a half of snow. I shoveled several times and my feet felt terrific. My favorite boot ever.

Difficult to find - I have a large narrow size and find it difficult to find a quality shoe. The Columbia's Coremic Ridge™ Mid was true to size, very stylish and comfortable to wear. Very pleased with my selection.

Nice fitting shoe - I bought these shoes for my husband. It is the second pair for him and the first ones fit so well he asked for another pair. He wears them for work and really likes them. He says he can wear them all day without any discomfort. He would recommend these to anyone.

Best Christmas gift to give! I ordered a pair of these shoes for my son-in-law. He was thrilled with the selection. They were a perfect fit and were very comfortable. I bought these for my 9 year old son who loves them. They fit true to size, comfy, and they look cool. They are waterproof so he can wear them to the bus stop when it is snowy but still wear them inside at school.

I purchased these shoes because I was going to spend a few days in Grand Tetons and Yellowstone in Wyoming. I normally wear 10.50 - 11 (leaning towards 11), and the fit was perfect. Leaving NY at zero sea level, and going to WY at 9,000 ft above sea level, although I was huffing and puffing going up those hills and mtns., My feet were always comfortable. Not a blister on my feet after three grueling days of extreme hiking. The level of customer service I received from Zappos goes without saying. I ordered on Wed. 7:0pm, and had the shoes by 4pm the next day. Zappos wrote me an e-mail saying they just felt like rushing my order. This is why I keep coming back here and always recommend Zappos.

Good, warm shoes. I purchased these for my teenage son, just before a camping trip in a cold area. They looked and fit just as expected and he has had no complaints about comfort. Great to find them in a 16.

I love the Sydney Jag Jean. They are the best fitting Jag jeans that I have owned. I bought my first pair about 5 years ago and I can't seem to stop buying them.

Repeat customer - Last week we took our daughter to Northern Arizona on a mini-vacation for her fall break. We hiked the red rocks of Sedona, the hills of our ghost town Jerome and the woods behind our cabin in Pinewood. These shoes gave me ample ankle support and were very comfortable to wear right out of the box. I don't like to carry an extra pair of shoes when we pack for these short trips, so I wear these with fresh jeans to go out to dinner. They look fine with the jeans. Also, I had ordered standard shipping, but Zappos sent them express without charge. Thanks

Feels really comfortable - These actually are the most comfortable shoes I own. They really didn't need any breaking in. I wear a 14, and they fit perfectly.

Accomodating MS - My son has MS,cannot walk, and wears braces. To find a comfortable shoe without going custom is very hard. We tried three different companies and finally we found Zappos. Picked the oversize Columbia (for width) and not only did it fit, but it looks great -- thank you for your great shoes available and the SUPER delivery service.

Comfortable Hiking Boots - My son got these shoes and after wearing them around home for a day or two, hiked the Appalachian Trail for several days over some pretty rough terrain and had no complaints. His feet were comfortable and well-supported, which is pretty important with his rock-hopping tendencies! His only complaint was that the laces didn't stay tied quite as well as he would have liked.

I was in the market for a sturdy hiking boot with some ankle support a while ago. I wear a 13EE, which means it is difficult to find shoes that fit. I stumbled upon the Columbia Coremic Ridge here at Zappos and took a gamble. I continue to be amazed at how well these shoes fit! Unfortunately, the foot support gave out after a year of occasional use (short/moderate hikes every 2-3 weeks), and it is now uncomfortable to wear these for more than 3-4 miles of light hiking. These boots fit great, but I am hesitant to recommend them due to their short shelf life.

I owned a pair of Columbia boots before, and was satisfied with them, so I went looking for another pair. Let's be honest: Columbia is not a top of the line boot, but they are acceptable and satisfactory if you are a moderate hiker and not a hard core adventurer, and you want something moderately priced. You can pay a lot more, and a lot less, but Columbia's fit right there in the middle range, for me, for price and quality. So now these Coremic Ridge boots: good acceptable quality, good mid range price point, very comfortable, light weight. Take out the pretty meaningless insole and add a good quality one of your choice, for both comfort and support. Zappos shipped these out very fast, so thank you. Overall I am very satisfied with my second pair of Columbia's. My first pair lasted me about 4 years, and if these do the same, well, what more could I ask?

Use these exclusively for hiking and they work well. I needed to get inserts for comfort after a few months of use.

I'm 6'4" 220 lbs size 14/15 narrow foot. These boots are a little wide for my feet but are correct for a medium width I'd guess. They are comfortable and break in quickly. The sole feels a little thin after about fifteen miles of hiking but I'm planning on using an insert anyway. The quality of build is about what you would expect for the price. These are light duty, day trekking hiking boots, nothing more.

These boots are comfortable and true to size. They are a little heavy, but that's to be expected w/ this type of boot. Good traction in snowy, icy conditions. They are also warm. They are good quality and the sole isn't separating from the shoe. I must add that I was thrilled to actually find quality boots that fit!

Great shoe if you need a little extra ankle support. These are NOT boots, and they are not waterproof. I wish they had a little more padding in the sole. But overall, 4.5 out of 5. Very happy with this buy.

I selected these as a replacement for the Columbias I had worn out after 6 years. They are true to size in length, but feel a little loose in the width. However, thicker socks or a little lace tightening takes care of that. I would prefer that they had the cloth loops instead of the metal lacing tabs because I wear these to work during miserable weather, and the metal tabs make the shoes look a little too "outdoorsy". Otherwise, the shoes are what I expected and wanted, and I look forward to many years of good service from them.
