New Balance tennis shoe - This shoe is very nice looking. I bought it a half size larger than my normal shoe size and it slips a little on my heel. Other than that… I really like the look of the shoe and it is very comfortable.

Comfort classis - This walking shoe gets high marks for comfort. I originally ordered three different brand shoes. The first two were more expensive and did not feel as comfortable or look as nice. Although I could only purchase the very girly pink and white pair (I prefer bolder colors) overall I am extremely satisfied with this shoe. Thanks again Zappos for your dynamite return policy!

A little snug - These shoes have great cushioning, but I have to wear thin socks because they are a little snug. Not a true WW.

Good Service/Good Product - The shoe seems true to size. The tongue was a bit stiff and required some breaking in. The shoe is lightweight and comfortable.

New Balance Walking Sneaker - It is true to size and width. They feel good when first put on, but after walking around in them a while, my arches and heels begin to hurt. I have not experienced this in other New Balance sneakers that I have bought. I don't think it has enough cushioning in the heel area for a lot of walking.

Purchased out of need - I've been wearing the NB 844 for about two year, now NB went and changed to 845 and I'm not happy with it couldn't find one to fit. Sending for the size I was using in the 844, it was too wide, so I tried smaller size, still didn’t fit so I kept the 558 because I needed a sneaker, not as comfortable as what I had 844.

Look nice... Overall this shoe is nice looking but needs more cushion in the ball of the foot area. Have problem feet and thought I wouldn't need to use my orthotics. Will try ordering another brand.

AVERAGE - Although I ordered up a 1/2 size as I always need to do with NB this shoe is not comfortable in the toe box. Feels like it curls up. Also there is a seam in the right shoe that is uncomfortable. Couldn't tell these issues by wearing around the house but when starting fitness walking outdoors they became evident. Very disappointed.

30 mile per week walker - The shoe is attractive and comfortable from the first step - absolutely no break-in period. HOWEVER, it does not have the support for a serious walker on concrete. I felt as if I was walking in my comfy bedroom slippers!

Gave me a blister on little toe! I have been wearing NB walkers for 20 yrs, and I am disgusted with the 558. My little toe has a horrible blister due to the construction of the top of the shoe (seam location has changed)! It is very uncomfortable, and though I love the pink and white color, I cannot wear these shoes.

New Balance 558 - Look nice but seams rub on both big toes although width is fine. Not up to New Balance comfort but they cost much less than most. Guess you get what you pay for!

Cute shoes - But way to small for me. My toes actually started to fall asleep because there was not enough toe room. I ordered my size but these just did not fit. I couldn't order a bigger size because they were sold out by then. I would suggest to anyone to go ahead and buy at least a 1/2 size larger than normal to get the correct fit.

Dissatified - I was very dissatisfied with these sneakers. Upon taking them out of the box and setting them on the floor, they looked worn. They were very stretched out and it seemed like the person that wore them was very pronated. They did not offer me enough support and the last didn't seem wide enough, which I thought would be adequate according to the description. Instead of returning them for a full refund, I donated them to a person in need.

Nice but runs too small - I have always worn New Balance sneakers. I was so disappointed because these look great, but run possibly 1/2 to 1 size too small. I have worn 13N in New Balance for years. Given that sizes ABOVE 13 are not carried, I had to return these and test my luck w. a different style sneaker. I did call New Balance and asked them if their shoes are running smaller, and they admitted that yes, many of their sneakers run a 1/2 size short.

First time - After years of wearing ONLY New Balance shoes, I expected the same quality and comfort I had come to expect from the brand. I was very disappointed with this shoe. It was square and clunky looking. The shoe was stiff and didn't move with my foot. The only way I've been able to keep it on my foot was to remove the innersole. There was no arch support. I'll try NB one more time but if I find the same results...

New Balance WW558 comfort - I love the look of the New Balance! I always buy New Balance for my fitness shoe, mainly because I am able to fit my orthotics inside the shoe. Unfortunately, the way this shoe is designed I feel pressure across the area of the shoe pressing on my bunion and it becomes quite painful. I wish I could return this shoe in exchange for another design. I love ordering from Zappos and the customer service is great but unfortunately I did not recognize this problem until I was outside walking and by then it's too late to return them.
