Probably the most comfortable and stylish boots I've owned. Usually you sacrifice one or the other, but not here; these boots are supportive, easy to get on/off and they look great with almost everything. Plus the leather doesn't scratch easily, unlike some other boots I tried that were twice the price. Highly recommended.

I bought these, and they felt a tad too roomy inside, so I bought aftermarket insoles from Sports Authority. I went on a trip to Paris a few days later, so lots of walking. No problems whatsoever. The leather is super soft, so no breaking in is needed. The sole is really soft, also, like a sneaker. I have a couple pairs of other boots, and the soles are way stiffer, the leather stiff and needing breaking in, etc. These Type Zs are fantastic. I have had them since May 2011, and have worn them probably 5 days of the week on average. This year I have had a lot of lower back problems, and when I wear my other boots (they're more dressy), I end up getting a lot of back pain. Not with the Type Zs tho. Super comfortable. I wouldn't wear these as a work boot or anything that demands ruggedness, though. I would limit it to everyday wear. They're very 'rough' looking, kinda beat up looking. So don't think they're gonna be something you wear to a club. They're still a bit too roomy inside for me, but I can't resist the comfort. And wearing sneakers with jeans is a horrendous look, in my opinion, so wearing these is the way to go.

These shoes are of good quality materials and good cobbler skills. I was impressed when I checked them over.

Got the boots in, was a trip. One was size 11 US, the other was size 12 US. Put them side by side, they were exactly the same.
These boots are killer. Super cool, very comfortable and light. Come with an aged look. Dig them a lot.

These are my new favorite boots!
These have a stylish and convenient zipper on one side of each boot that makes it easy to get through security at the airport.
These are also extremely comfortable. My favorite boots to date.

Very nice boots. Thin leather and super comfortable. This is my third pair of Type Z boots, I'm very sad to see they don't offer as many styles as they used to. I've always thought Type Z boots to be like fancy boot versions of Converse (Chucks). You will for sure need an insole. Very flexible and sneaker like, but stylish. All three pairs I've had fit like clown shoes if you didn't order a size under your norm, so for sure order a size smaller (I don't know what everyone else is talking about).

Wow. Never had a boot quite like these. Very lightweight and extremely comfortable! We'll see how well they hold up, but construction looks good. Think I'm going to love these!

I ordered the 8 but found it a bit snug around the forefoot; the hard "toe cap" extends back a bit, so the flex point made it bite into the top of my foot. I switched it for the 9 which fit better. The boots look great, sort of a cross between a sneaker and a combat boot. They are light and comfortable, perfect for air travel since they pop off with the side zip. The color is much lighter than in the photo, but that's okay by me. Good looking light duty boots for the dude who wants to be stylish and practical.

These are great boots; I've gone through two pairs. I wear an 8/8.5 and the 8 fit perfect. The style of these boots is their strong point and they go with anything. Looks great with skinny jeans tucked into them, but I even get compliments when my pant legs cover most of the boot. These are also very comfortable, even in the summer, and definitely wear more like a tall sneaker than a boot because they are SO lightweight. HOWEVER. This also means that you should expect durability comparable to a sneaker, not a boot. With near-daily wear, these lasted me about 6-8 months before they fell apart. Also, these are not all that waterproof. These two flaws led me to invest in a more durable shoe after the second pair of these wore out (I am a one-shoe kinda guy).

The boot is incredibly beautiful, but the sole is incredibly awful. The heel and ball wore through in no-time-flat, and the entire sole is hollow. Once the surface (which is quite thin) wears through, water and dirt go straight into the body of the shoe and onto your feet. I ended up with soaking wet feet in just a matter of a couple months of off-and-on wear due to multiple holes worn through.

Very comfortable and stylish boots, too bad they have a short lifespan. The soles on these only lasted less than six months of semi regular wear. Also, they don't seem to take regular shoe polish (Kiwi, Dr. Martens) the polish just kind of sits on top of the leather and doesn't get absorbed.

The boots look amazing. However I found that the buckle on the lateral side of the boot dug right into my ankle and made it too uncomfortable to walk. I do have a high arch and higher positioned ankle bones than most people so I can't imagine that this is a problem for many other people, just be aware. If the strap for the buckle was longer and had the option for another hole it may have been more comfortable for me.

I'm really surprised by all the good reviews of these boots. The glowing reviews allayed my fears that these boots might look like they are trying a little too hard on too small a budget. I barely got them out of the box and put them right back in to return. The leather looks flimsy and cheap, especially around the buckle on the side of the boot. I think the money would be much better spent on another pair of shoes.

I have only had these for a couple months and I do not wear them all that much, but the zipper already broke and the leather does not seem to sturdy. I did not keep the box they came in and there is a little scuff on them so I cannot return them under Zappos' rules for original condition exchanges/returns. I am not happy and find these to be poor quality boots other than their styling.

I bought a pair of these in early 2013 and they just came back in stock. I love these shoes and was excited to get a new pair, and the pictures and video look identical to the old pair I have. However, these look completely different and look cheap and crappy now. Do not buy if you want to replace your old Timmys.

My husband loved the boots in the image, but when we received them he was not so thrilled. The boot material was not what was expected. Looked cheap. The boot ran very small and narrow.
