Exactly what I was looking for - a stylish, comfortable, casual boot for "everyday" use. If you are looking for a heavy duty boot, or a classy boot, or a high quality boot, then this ain't your guy. And I am not saying that to take away from this boot - it's an awesome boot for what it is. Use it for heading to the bars or a coffee shop. Use it give your ordinary jeans/t-shirt look a hip little flair. Use it around the house - believe me, they are comfortable. If you're looking at it, and like the look, and don't need an expensive boot - definitely get it. It's worth the money and you'll be happy.

Way cool - These are great looking boots- comfortable too. The leather is a soft making it a tad flimsy.

A little large for me... I usually judge my shoe size based on my Chuck Taylors, which fit perfectly at size 9. Traditionally Chucks are a half size smaller, so that would make me a 9.5. I ordered these in 9 based on other reviews stating they were a little small. Well, I found the 9's to be too big. The width was great, but they were too long. Otherwise these boots are great. They do look a little more silver/grey when you actually get them, but that's because they have a worn look. I returned mine, but I'll probably try to get a smaller pair sometime soon.

Looks Great Feels OK - This boot has the look and profile that I was looking for. However, after going to a show and standing up for three hours and then the car ride home, my feet were a bit sore. My impression: It's great for a night out but not to wear all the time.

They sent the wrong color and size! I ordered black and received gray, and they sent the wrong size, but lo and behold, it fit like a glove! I highly recommend this boot IF you can afford it. Perfect for walking, perfect on my motorcycle, just the wrong color...

Great Looking Boot but Needs Insole - I get compliments on these boots all the time and they have a very nice fit. The only problem is that the insole is rather flat so it would be wise to put in a Dr. Scholl's or something.

Black is not Black - I bought these boots today and opening them up the color was nothing near what is pictured here for the black boots. They are a gray/silver color. For me that was enough to send them back sadly. If they looked like the picture these boots would be awesome, they are very comfortable.

Bought a pair in April 2011. I held off on the review because the last time I gave a favorable spiel after I had the boots for a week they started to fall apart. It was on a different brand. Anyway, this pair is holding up pretty good after 9 months on the motorbike. Got soaked in rain frequently, never polished, scuffed up badly from road debris, wallowed in mud a few times and now it shows a patina that Mad Max would envy. It's time for Bartertown! But hey, right out of the box the antique finish looks cheesy so be patient. Stick a pair of gel insoles. Focus on the comfort and decent fit.

I was disappointed in these boots. The quality of the leather was poor. I was expecting a more substantial boot. The destruction looks cheaply done. Better to just buy a new undestructed boot and wear them out yourself, it\'ll look so much better.

Got the boot last June, loved it! Very comfortable, even 8 months later, looked great. No issues with the zipper. But at about 2 months wear, the leather went completely bad. Working in IT in an office, I'm not too rough on my feet, but the entire front face of the boot is worn, in spots, it looks as though it were ground down. The issue is, at the slightest imperfection, the leather turns white. Polish has done nothing to improve the look, anything slightly worn looks good for 2 days, anything worse just paints black and looks awful, diseased. It's mostly light gray now except where boot polish has stained the raw leather. The tread also wears out very quickly, mine were almost flat by 4 months. Word of warning, this boot will look very distressed very fast, which is sad since it's a real slick and comfortable boot.

Good for Halloween - Don’t be fooled, the black is silver and the brown is gold. These boots are styled well but the colors are whack. Neither pair worked out for me. The leather looks cheap which makes them end up looking like costume shoes. Bummer.

I run a busy high end bar, and part of my uniform is a good pair of boots. After having these bad boys for over a year, I can confidently say that these are just about the best pair of boots that I have owned. I have been through several other brands, and all wear out at around the eight month mark (roughly 12-18 hours of use per day between school and work, wet and dry conditions, standing on concrete floors). These boots are about the 14 month mark now, and are just starting to feel spent. They should last years for the casual wearer. The main draw of these boots (beside the style, which garners compliments very often) is how light they are. They weigh next to nothing, so the shin fatigue so common to bartenders is noticeably less. I will probably end up buying another pair to replace the ones I have when they go to the big shoebox in the sky.

Great boots. They are light and feel like sneakers. Width is a bit narrow, but broke in ok after a few wears.

I've been wearing these boots for over 2 years, almost everyday. I bought the brown pair over a year ago and wear them 2-3 times a week. They are comfortable, long lasting and very cool. I'm going to order another pair of both black and brown for future use. I highly recommend these boots.

Even though I have some beeswax Clarks that look very similar, I decided to pick these up anyway. Great. Decision. I've gotten so many compliments wearing these. They add a little "bad boy" (whether you are or not) to your ensemble. If you're on the cusp, pick these up ri-now!

I found these boots looking for a similar pair of Diesel combat boots. I liked this style better and for 60.00 less, I went with these. The first night, I wanted to wear them to bed. I was very surprised on how light these were when I took them out of the box. Fits true to size. They go well with everything: jeans, chinos, etc. - tucked in or worn regular. They are now my favorite shoe. I'll probably get the brown color later. The only 'thing' I noticed is the color is more a dark/dusty brown+gray than a straight gray as described. Nonetheless, they're awesome.

I purchased these Timmy boots for my son and he loves them. He is normally somewhere between a 10 and 11, but in these boots, the 10 fit him perfectly. (I had to exchange, as I had initially purchased the 11, and as is typical with Zappos, the service and quick exchange were unbeatable!) These are not sturdy boots intended for rugged use, but they are great trendy, casual footwear for a super price.

Very attractive, slim, and comfortable. Take little to break in. I have received many compliments on them.

Wore these for nearly two years before they finally wore through on the bottom, now I'm ordering another pair. I spent many days walking 12-14 hours no cobblestone streets with these, with no foot pain the next morning. Go by the European sizing, the american numbers seem to be a full size or more off.

Bought a pair from Zappos that cost half as much and returned them immediately. Ordered these and they are even better in person. So comfortable! I wear size 13 but these don't make my feet look huge! Highly recommended.

I bought these in a Faded Black shade two years back and they spoiled me so far as boots are concerned. They look great, they feel great, and (despite the fact that the leather is a bit delicate) they hold up very well. Well-after I'd purchased those, I bought a number of other boots--just so I'd have other pairs--but I always ended up returning them. Then one night, I stumbled upon the Type Z Timmys and ordered them, excited that I'd found something so cool, only to discover that these were just a different color of the same boots I'd been in love with. Independent excited selection twice: Can't beat that for an endorsement.

Great boot. Really soft Leather and comfortable right out of box. no break in required. looks fashionable. would highly recommend. I have a b width foot and this boot fits me well. if you have wide feet, I would not recommend, outside of that its a great choice. quick shipping.
