I needed shoes for Europe and these seemed to fit the bill. Pros: I have the worst feet ever...hereditary bunions, high arches, weird toes. These boots are insanely comfortable. They are as comfy as sneakers, truly. Cons: The texturing on the back started wearing away almost immediately but I was okay with that because of the huge comfort factor but then the button holding the strap broke. These seem to be very common traits with this boot. I could not find anything as comfy so I traded for another pair! I will just have a cobbler secure the strap and I don't care about the texturing. They are that comfortable and they will go to Europe this April.

This boot is very pretty, soft and comfortable in fit. However, for a winter boot I did not find the toe area warm enough. This would make a good spring or summer boot. The arch support is not in the arch but forward, which I got used to after wearing in the house a little bit. I wound up returning them due to the warmth factor. I live in Oregon where it is rainy and the winter temperature runs in the 40s.

Nice boots but beware, the leather is paper thin. They used to have soft leather that was thicker, now it is still soft but thin.

Love these boots! So comfortable. I have thin calves and these work over skinny jeans. Great for a lot of walking, although they don't have a ton of cushioning. I agree with the other reviewers comments about the brown boots' texture wearing away on the back part of the boot. It's not very noticeable, but I've only had these for about a month so I'm wondering how much more is going to wear away. I love how they fit me, since most boot shafts are too big, but if I had been able to find some other options for better sizing, I would have gone with another and less expensive brand. The leather is really soft but so far they are wearing well (aside from the aesthetic wearing-away in the back of the boot).

Do not spend your money on these boots. You can't tell from the photo how cheaply they are made and how little leather is actually on the boot. The fake snap popped off on the second day of wearing them. If they were much cheaper then I would have kept them but for this price you can find something so much better. I am so disappointed in this brand and I have no idea how so many people gave these shoes 5 stars! I'm not a complainer -- just want to save someone the trouble of having to send back a lame shoe!

True to size, slim calf, & comfy over bunion - I ended up ordering these in 3 different sizes (sorry Zappos). The big toe area has extra length, so the actual size/fit is deceiving. As it turned out, they actually ran true to my usual size of 40 as the 39 was uncomfortably snug on my B width foot. These are comfortable from the moment they go on (the one's in the right size at least.) I have a large bunion on top of my big toe, and even though these are fitted around the front, the leather is so soft there is NO pain. Plus, the pliability of the sole lets your foot bones fully articulate with each step. I thought the mid calf would make my legs look large, but they fit snugly like I wanted and look sexy in a casual snuggly way. Extra cushion in middle of the sole is different, but actually very comfortable. They are so plain, simple, and perfect - I'll be living in these for years!

Fantastic Boot - These boots are unbelievably comfortable. Mine feel just a tad too big, but not so that I would bother sending them back. They are very casual but cuaxte at the same time! I have very thin legs - so these fit perfectly over pants and are just a little baggy with a skirt. There's a nice stretch material, though, if you have larger calf muscles.

Greatest boot ever - I can not believe how wonderful these boots are in every way. If I had them in a light color, and black I would clean out all of my other shoes and only wear these. I am a teacher so I am on my feet all day, and this is the first boot, or shoe, I have ever worn that does not make my feet tired. I also love the look of this boot - stylish with a touch of the rough and tumble. All I can say is don't let this one get away. WOW!

I LOVE these boots!!! I love these boots... I have a toddler (so I am often pushing a stroller or carrying 20lbs!!!) and am pregnant... so heels are OUT this winter. I saw these and decided to give them a try... and it was a very smart (both intellectually AND fashion-wise) idea. I've gotten compliments on them as well, and even inspired a woman to buy a pair of her own. : )

This is definitely a comfortable 'sensible' (but still stylish) boot. I think it's a little too short to look right with pants tucked in. It looks fine with dress pants. The top is very soft and floppy- kind of thin material. The one very strange thing is there is a bump in the center of the sole! It's like the arch got moved to the center! I put in an inner sole liner and that evened out the lumpy-ness. If these were about 2 inches taller they'd be perfect.

Great winter boots - These boots are so awesome! They're super comfortable and have stylish details. They're also perfect for my athletic calves that are bigger than normal :) I love that even though the material is on the thin side, these boots can withstand the winter chill for the most part. I personally love these and wear them every day since I've bought them. I just want to add that Zappos customer service is fantastic and I've really enjoyed shopping with them. I don't know that I will shop for shoes anywhere else!

Satisfied customer - These are really great boots. Wore them for the rest of the day after they arrived and hated to take them off. Even though they are not fur lined I have found them to be quite warm. Soft leather, comfortable around the toe area so that there is room to move toes around. Arch support makes for comfortable walking - and they are smart. Soles ridged enough to give some safety for icy pavements.

Great with skirts and skinny jeans- upscale casual.

These are great boots. They are just modern enough to be different than everything else on the market, and they go with everything. I'm constantly getting compliments. Only complaint is that sometimes they rub on the back of my heel.

Like wearing socks - Adorable little boot, super comfortable! No break in period at all, instantly wearable. I lined it with Ugg insoles and they are my southern California, everyday winter boot. However, it would not be warm enough for colder climates. For those who like strong arch support and a thick sole, these would not satisfy. Cute design for those whose tastes run to the more casual.

Wonderful! This is the best pair of boots I've yet owned in my life! They required no "breaking-in" time whatsoever; they look great with pants and skirts, and they feel wonderful all day long. I get so many compliments on these stylish boots, and I always reply, "Ooh, yeah, I love them, too, and I love Zappos!" Just this week, four women have told me they'd never heard of Zappos (say what?!), but after admiring my boots and hearing where I got them, they were going online ASAP to check it out. Got to spread the word and share the love!

I've found it's hard to fit my calves with the taller boots, but these fit pretty well... hardly any gap. (My calves are ~11" circumference). Lots of compliments on these, they look good with skirts which is what I wanted them for. Nice, soft leather that doesn't bunch up a whole lot. Very comfortable but not much arch support.

I wear these boots everyday to work and wore them when I went to Colombia. They are very light and comfortable. The only thing I would have to say is a negative is the sole is kind of thin and it is a snug fit so putting insoles in might not be an option.

These boots look and feel great. They are true to size and very comfortable. My only concern has to do with how thin the leather is. I'm a little worried that they won't last long.

Bought the Testadimoro Leather color. Absolutely adore these boots! They are versatile and super comfortable, easy on and off with the zip. They are very lightweight and great for walking, which has made them my favorite boot for travel. The stretchy material even allows it to fit around my wider-than-average calves. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that it seemed to stretch out quickly. Even though it fit perfectly when I first put them on, within a few months of wear I found my foot slipping inside the shoe. Would consider ordering a size down next time. Also, the leather is quite thin and will scuff easily, and the stretch back panel wears quickly at the ankle, exposing black material. I think it gives it a nice broken-in look, but I can't see this boot lasting for years and years. Seems a bit overpriced for the quality. I'll love it as long as it does hold together, though.

These were my first purchase from Zappos and they fit perfectly! They are extremely comfortable and I can wear them walking all day long. I am a size 38 and have kind of skinny legs. These fit fine over bare legs or skinny jeans for me. I do have one complaint though - the area right above the back of my heel is getting worn away (after about 2 weeks of wear). The slightly fuzzy brown material is wearing away to show the black underneath, it's because that portion gets folded when I point my toe. They fit so well that I don't want to return them, though!

These boots are great! I was looking for a black mid-calf boot with no heel. They are very comfortable and well made. They are simple but the detail adds some interest. The color is actually really interesting - it's not a pure black. It could pass for a very dark brown... so it goes with everything.

I wore these boots ALL around London and they were super comfortable. They fit well and were true to size. I’m a smaller girl and they weren’t big at all around my calves. The temperature was around 35 degrees and with the right socks I was fine. I can imagine wearing these in warmer temperature as well since they are rather thin, but they don’t feel cheap. GREAT for lots of walking.

I am really a boot girl; they're my go-to footwear for dresses, skirts and skinny jeans, and I have pretty high standards for what I will wear. Let me tell ya, these are comfortable. The leather is so soft, it is almost like wearing "leather socks." Footbed is soft, flexible and slightly cushy, not super-supportive. You could definitely hit the pavement in NYC or elsewhere for a full day of sightseeing and shopping and feel no pain. They are also stylish and I have received compliments on them. Definitely recommended if you do not have large calves.
