I purchased these in 11 regular and in 10 wide after reading some reviews, and figuring I should account for it running small or narrow. [I own three pairs of la Canadienne high boots (two of which are ancient and still wearable) and love them. It's time to invest in a beautiful new pair!] But this style fits me bigger than I expected, even being bulky around the calf, which I have not experienced in my other Canadienne boots, which are perfect. I am going to try again, ordering a 10 reg and also narrow. This style is a little more casual than I'd like, but I'm not seeing the brand making quite the same looks they have in high suede boots as in the past. I love my la Canadiennes! But I walk to work every day and need a boot that survives crappy winter weather (theirs do!) and is comfortable enough to spend the day in AND look professional/somewhat dressy wearing with black tights or leggings. I have hope for these yet in the smaller sizes I'll try now, but am wondering if the company can please bring back more models that match the appeal of the ones from 5 and 10 years ago regarding comfort/durability/AND beautiful look?? In my experience, this brand is worth the cost in terms of long term value. I'll pay the cash to have boots that feel and look great for years of Minnesota weather and many miles of walking.

This boot is a good choice if you have skinny calves. Mine measure 13", and these boots fit my legs fairly well. The only problem was that the fabric tended to "bunch" and bulge out in the front above my ankle. From the side this looked a little odd. If the boots had been a bargain price, I would have kept them. But this seemed like too much money to spend for something that wasn't a perfect fit.

I wanted to love these. I normally wear a 6.5-7 W. I bought the 6.5WW based on reviews and the length is at least a full size too long. The width would have been ok, but very narrow for a WW, felt like a slightly wider normal (B/medium) width. I might try a 6WW if available. I have an older pair of La Canadiennes and didn’t have this problem.

I ordered these in a 10 WW. They are prettier in person and very flattering on. Lovely quality. Unfortunately I have to return them because the ankles are just too tight. These are very good for someone with slim calves. I have slim calves and the circumference fit fine other than right at the ankle. The foot bed is comfortable and they have good cushion.

The leather is lovely and soft, but the calf width is wider than advertised which is the main reason for returning them.

I ordered a wide because I have orthodics, otherwise I have medium foot. I could tell just by looking at the boot that it was not wide enough. I could not even get my orthodics in there! The boot looks wonderful, and zips easily.

I ordered a 9, my normal size. The length was good. I do not measure a wide but feel my foot is full. These were more narrow in the foot and not comfortable. The heel and calf were too wide for my full calf, 14”.

I'm not sure what the hype is about this brand. I know they are well made and high quality so i get that but otherwise I didn't find these very comfortable or stylish. And for the price tag they better be all those things!

It would have been ok.. the only cons is that if you have a big calf, then you cannot even zip it all the way. Shaft height is perfect for petite woman...

WW is not as wide as the short Canadienne boots I've owned for years. Had to send these back.

These boots are beautiful, warm, and (miraculously) true to width in extra wide sizes. Unfortunately, they come apart. I loved them and thought that they were worth every penny, until the insoles began to deteriorate after one season of moderate wear. This was followed a year later by the interior lining deteriorating, making them unwearable. At this price point I expected they would be high enough quality to last more than a year or two!
