Nice looking, good fit - I wanted a boot that was feminine, and attractive with skirts and jeans. The Navi stands out because the leather and simple elegant styling are a cut above other boots in same price range. I wish there was a leather outside sole-it would make the boot wear better and give better support for city walking.

Born Navi - I'm keeping them because of their comfort, but the position of the heel is awkward looking. Also, a bit wide at the top, so not great for those with thin calves.

I really love these boots. They arrived packaged very securely. The leather had some spots on them, but according to the Born tag, that is part of the individuality of the leather. The heel is the perfect height for me, not flat but not too high.

Comfortable - These boots are comfortable, but the heel placement was a bit awkward at first. However, I walked a mile in these boots the first day I wore them, and didn't get blisters!

Great boot for those who want comfort and style - This is a great boot! I am excited because I have searched for years to find a boot that is stylish... but I have to be able to wear them all day! So this fits my needs so well. They look great and feel great too!

Best for bigger calves - Wah!!! These are lovely, beautiful boots- the leather is glossy and rich. However, I found that they run a 1/2 size large in the foot AND the calf circumference is at least an inch too big for me. I wear a size 9-1/2 and returned them for a 9 hoping the calf would be smaller as well, unfortunately the calf is still much too big. I am 5'8" and 135 pounds and evenly proportioned. I'm disappointed because these are truly gorgeous boots. And comfortable too!

The most comfortable boot I own... This is now the most comfortable boot I own. The leather lining makes it feel like you are wearing bedroom slippers! I have even worn them barefoot. Pay close attention to the picture tho, because that it what they look like. They are hand sewn (see the toe area) and the back seam looks almost "puckered"... I actually returned the first pair for those 2 reasons but the replacement pair was the same... I decided I could live with it because they are so VERY comfortable.

Good Boots for Bad Feet! I have been hunting for a dressy boot that won't torture my feet and these fit the bill! I have arthritis in my main ball joint and can't wear any shoes with extreme pitch or lack of cushion in the front. These look great and the heel appears tall enough to be dressy, but doesn't feel super tall when you wear them. I got the tan and love how modern and retro it looks at the same time. I receive numerous complements whenever I wear them, and have been told more than once they are sexy looking! I wear them with skinny jeans or dresses/skirts and am able to wear them longer than I ever can wear this kind of thing. I am thinking of getting them in black also... I have been wearing Born boots for years, and am happy they are finding a way to walk the line between comfortable shoes that don't look like they are just comfortable, but stylish too. I normally wear 8.5 but got an 8 based on reviews and they were perfect...

Born Navi - These are amazingly comfy and very versatile as I can wear with skirts to work or tucked into jeans on the weekend. The heel height is perfect as well. Only drawback is that the shaft was huge on me-I had to pay $65 to have taken in an inch. Other than that, these are pretty much the perfect tall boot...

Great comfortable boot - These boots are stylish and comfortable. They have really good arch support. I walked all over Manhattan wearing them and my feet only hurt a little bit at the end of the night. I have large calves for my frame and these fit perfectly.

Navi - The heel is not as comfortable as the similar version they sold last year. It angles forward a bit too much, so it's easy to twist your ankle.

Nice styling and comfortable too - The styling and fit of this boot is good. I do wish there was a little bit more calf room.

Lovely boots, but too wide around the calf - These fit like a dream and are very comfortable; however, the calf width is too large. I wish it was an inch less. Will send back.

Overall pretty happy with this boot. I returned the first pair because they were too big. I would say they run at least a half size larger than marked. Also, they fit my large calves. I walked around in them all day when I first got them and no blisters! The leather is super soft in a beautiful "go with anything" shade of brown.

Great fit, great leather, totally comfortable - The boot is just a tweak away from perfect. The size is great. I’m a 10 in most shoes/boots, but it seems the older I get, the larger my feet get. So lately I have been approaching size 11. I trusted the other reviews that this boot runs slightly large and it’s definitely true. They are a perfect fit. My only complaint would be the top of the boot which is just too large for my leg. It’s a WIDE top part, so if you have smaller calves, then keep that in mind, but the boot itself is great! Really sexy, too.

Nice looking boot that is comfortable on. It runs 1/2 to 1 size larger then marked. I wear a 9 1/2 to 10, usually a 10 but the 10 was too long and very loose around the foot and ankle area. I considered keeping them but along with the size the foot looks long so I decided to order down a 1/2 size. Hopefully that will work. This is a nice height (just below the knee) boot that is great for my calf measurement, 14 1/2". It still has a little room and will stretch out to fit jeans tucked in, but is not too wide around calf. Looked great on and is a true 2 1/2" heel unlike other boots that end up having higher heels then stated.

The perfect fit... For a wide-calf boot. I never find a boot that fits my calves, and this one is great. The only other boots that fit me are the Dansko Risas - and those don't come up so high on the leg, so they aren't as flattering - these are much more graceful looking. The drawback here is that the way the leather is secured to the sole around the front of the boot is a little scrappy looking - unpolished. But I think the leather is lovely and fine - though the wrinkle effect around the ankle does occur with wear. Still, these are a keeper for anyone who has a hard time getting a boot to fit muscular calves.

A near miss from Born. These boots are disappointing. They are cute. The leather is nice. The part on the shaft has some mottling that really gives it character (I ordered the dark brown). The problem is the shaft circumference. They are really just too big around. If they were listed as a wide calf they would be ideal, but they're supposed to be regular sized. My calves were swimming. I'm 5'4" and 125 pounds, so I'm not a big girl, but I also don't have super-skinny calves. I guess the search for comfortable, all-leather, high-quality boots continues...If you do have a larger calf, definitely get 1/2 to 1 whole size down, they run a bit big in the foot too.

Maybe I just had a bad pair... I see all the raving reviews, and saw the potential of this boot, but for what it cost me, the construction was very shoddy. The leather was thin, cut very unevenly at the top of the boot, and the toes were uneven (one boot's toe edge was wider than the other one's). Overall, it was a nice boot, and the ankle fit was very flattering (which was my problem with the Sofft Tyla Black Maestro). Really liked it, but I might have kept it if I had paid a fraction of the price; for what it cost me, it was not worth it.

Really wanted to love them, but... The ankle fit was awesome and the silhouette was totally sleek and sexy. However, the boots were cut unevenly, the toes were sewn on slightly differently (left boot vs. right boot). I can't justify keeping the boots for the price.

Wanted to love them - After reading so many glowing reviews I thought that these would be perfect. The foot part DID fit perfectly; however, the left boot's ankle is extremely tight. I know through experience with other boots the ankle doesn't stretch and they will always hurt there. I also was stunned by how shiny the leather is. Too bad, they fit like a dream in the foot.

Not for everyone - I'll be returning these for a few reasons. You can't see in the pictures, but the leather is shiny and not the thick, rich leather I'm used to in Borns. Also, as someone else noted, the hand-sewn construction, which is usually a plus for me, does look kind of crappy right at the toe, where the leather hangs over the edge of the sole. I thought the other reviewer just didn't like the stitches, but it's more than that. I'm also returning them for something which probably isn't a fault of the boot but me, the non-heel-wearer. I thought a chunky, angled low heel would work for me based on everyone saying they could walk for miles in them. That's probably true for people used to heels, but I felt wobbly and had visions of horrible accidents involving me and probably innocent bystanders. However, I feel fine in La Canadienne boots with a giant wedge heel that's just as narrow. I might have tried to train myself to walk on heels if I liked the construction better, but these will have to go back. Too bad, because they do make a nice silhouette, and they did seem reasonably comfortable for a heel. If you're a non-heel-wearer tempted by these, try La Canadienne wedges too.

Not great for the money - A pretty comfortable boot, but not quality. Within 2 weeks of receiving the boots the rubber heel pad popped off, and I had to superglue it back on. :( For the price I think I could have found higher quality boots.

Good looking but too much room - These boots looked good and were comfortable for the short time I had them on... But they are way too big around my calves (1.5-2" smaller would have been great). For reference my legs on one the thin side but fairly muscular. Sadly, I have to return them. Also I order a 1/2 size smaller than usual and that fit well on the foot.

Love them, but trouble with fit - I love these boots - they are exactly what I'm looking for. I love the distressed leather. I want a casual brown boot that I can wear around everyday, but also wear for business meetings. The only problem is that I've ordered them now twice in the same size (8) and both pairs seemed a lot tighter in the calf and ankle on the left side! I had tried the same size in a store and they fit great, but they didn't have brown in stock, so I figured I'd order them from Zappos. I'm debating trying a third pair, but I might switch to another boot because I'm worried that the quality control is not good for these boots!
