Perfect All-Around Boot -
Surprisingly comfortable for a boot--feels solid, a bit heavy, but very soft and easy to walk in. Beautiful wearing leather and thick, well-constructed outer sole. Seems like it should last me forever.

Nice!
I prefer wearing no shoes - but... I can get away with these no problem at work (school VP) - they are very comfortable on my very wide feet - I have the taupe and after searching everywhere for a black work shoe I am ordering a black pair love the look and love the fit!

Nice boot -
I was looking for a same style boot to replace worn out that I could no longer find. These matched up to what I like and they do look and wear good.

Comfortable but only good for about 6 months wear. I like these shoes a lot. They give good ankle support and very good cushioning for walking on concrete. I have just purchased a second pair after wearing a hole in the heel and sole of the last pair I had. And that's the problem with these shoes, the soles are well padded and spongy, but they are only good for about 6 months with any kind of normal walking. So I have on my new pair, and I plan to take the old ones down to the local shoe repair store to have them resoled.

Nice shoe/boot. Felt a half size larger and the toe area seemed a little wide. Very comfortable after I switched to a half size smaller.

I have had two pairs of these shoes. They look good and are comfortable, but they are not constructed very well. My first pair had the heel split open after a few months. My second pair had the heel come apart because they do not stitch the seams, just glue them. Too bad. I liked them but would not buy another pair.

This was the second pair of Roars that I have bought from my friends at Zappos for no other reason than they look good with everything. They are not hard-core work boots, nor are they performance oriented hiking boots, but they break in nicely and complement anything casual. If you want exceptional fitting work boots then buy Red Wings, if you want performance then buy New Balance or Ecco, but these are not much money for a whole lot of style. They run narrow so order a the next size up. Several people have commented on problems with the soles; well I wouldn't let that stop me from buying these shoes again, after all you're not going to climb Everest or do a marathon in these things. But face it, they were reasonably priced and in my opinion well worth it.

I was given these boots as a present and was originally very pleased. They looked great, fit wonderfully and meshed with my general style. However, the problem with these boots is their durability. I wore them for a few months and the sole, which is a very soft rubber, began to wear away rapidly, to the point where I can now say there is probably less than half and inch between the ball of my foot and whatever surface I happen to be walking on. I took them on an extended walk the other day and my feet are still mad at me.

The leather is showing signs of cracking, the sole is wearing out, and they look horrible after only a few months. They are comfortable, but for the price they should certainly wear better than this.

These good looking chukka boots fit my feet almost perfectly. The heel cup is not too tight and the toe box is roomy. However, the boots need much more padding under the balls of my feet for any long walks on hard surfaces like most concrete sidewalks. I wish they were as well cushioned as my Clarks sandals. Also, the boots are little tight to get into. (I use a shoe horn whenever available.) Again, they do look great with casual wear like jeans or chinos.

It feels comfortable and looks good, but I think it needs one additional shoestring hole. I will return the shoes.

Shoes feel great and are true to size; however, were not really true to color. Future buyers should know that the online color is much darker than reality. The other issue I have is that after only 3 weeks of daily wear, the tread on the sole is already almost flat.

Really like this boot.
This is a very comfortable boot, like the look and is great for all the walking I do in my job. The only problem I have is that the sole is starting to separate from the shoe. Possibly a one time defect.

My biggest issue with this shoe is that it started to stink pretty bad after about 2-3 months. I thought it was my feet, or my socks, but I figured out after some switching shoes that it was most definitely these shoes. It has become bad enough that I will no longer wear them and I've only had them for 4 months of wearing them 2-4 times a week. Very disappointing for a pair of Clarks!

Unfortunately, my husband wore this shoe outside so we cannot return it. But, the shoe is very hot and uncomfortable on the feet after wearing them for 20 minutes or so. The lining is to blame, we think. It looks good, but we would not buy this brand of shoe again. It feels like pleather on your feet after 20 minutes or so & for the price of the shoe that is not acceptable. Not a great shoe!

I loved these shoes when I first put them on. But the soles started literally separating from the boot. I contacted Zappos and they sent me a replacement pair very quickly. But then the soles on those also peeled off (months later), so I had them repaired at a shop. Now a year or so later, the soles are totally shot, and the cost to re-sole them is half the price of the boots. Perhaps it was the batch of boots from the particular supplier. They were the most comfortable boots I've ever had, but the soles are a serious problem. These things should last 5 years-- am I missing something? Are shoes and boots only supposed to last 1 year now?

Very comfortable but horrible durability. Have had less than a year and didn\'t wear that often, but the rubber soles started to shred and the sides of the boot have started to pull away from the sole.

This is a beautiful boot but too small. I had to return these shoes because they were too narrow, and as you can see it looks almost as if the shoe is flattened, i take a 14 in the Wallabees but unfortunately the sizing for these are not the same. What a shame, I wanted these shoes so badly

These shoes looked great when they arrived. However, the soles of the shoes wore out in less than six months. I am a teacher and am on my feet constantly. These shoes were a let down.

I have to confirm what other reviewers have pointed out regarding these boots: They are great looking, but the heels wear out quickly. In my case, it took just 4 months of semi-regular use. The soles are just not durable enough for frequent use. Too bad. I really like the way they look.

Sloppy Shoe…
Larger look than Zappos photo. Fits larger than size. Recommend ordering one size smaller… i.e. 13 try for a 12. Sloppy looking, big-boot style on foot... certainly not dress/casual dress. Use as a warehouse looking boot. Heels make black marks on tile floors with any slight movement turn! Overall flat-footed feel... and definitely need an insert for a higher instep. Wouldn't buy again.

Great-design and great look, but poorly made and with sub-par materials. Really appreciated the larger toe-box. Bought two pair, and they were super-comfortable from the get-go, but didn't feel durable at all. One pair squeaked on me right away so I returned them both. Boots are meant to be broken in. Craftsmanship didn't strike me well, and I would not recommend them. More like slippers cleverly disguised as boots/chukkas.

Quite possibly the worst pair of shoes I have worn in quite some time. If durability in regular everyday use is important to you, look elsewhere. These began falling apart within only a couple of weeks and already look like they're five years old.
