I ordered a full size smaller than my actual dress shoe size of 10.5 W. Ordering a 9.5 W was a good decision. They fit perfectly and are very comfortable. One thing, pay close attention to the pictures, especially the top view photo. These are definitely somewhat square toe shoes. If that is not what you are looking for, then pay close attention because most of the photos don't shoe this well. I don't like square toe shoes much, but these look pretty good regardless and when polished up look great. I will be buying another pair in black.

Fantastic shoes. I have a wide foot and got the wide size and fits perfectly. Very comfortable and stylish. I originally got the black and then went back to get the brown too. I have no worries about walking around in them all day.

Great everyday work shoe for the office. Maintains a great shine with little work. Most importantly, the shoes are very comfortable, very flexible and very durable.

Shoe is really sharp looking and has excellent padding. Purchased for my husband who typically runs size 13 in dress shoes and size 14 in athletics. Size 13 in this shoe was super tight and will have to order a size up.

I bought this for my boyfriend who has wide feet. He liked the style of the shoe, its sleek and sophisticated look. He hasn't complained about his feet hurting in these shoes.

These are stylish shoes. Bought them to replace some aged J&M leather sole shoes. They are the same size as my Nike shoes, so they felt true to size in that regard. The sole and heel are a little hard, expected them to be more on the rubbery side, but they are more on the plastic side of things. That is not a bad thing, just not what I was expecting. I have worn them a few times, they are pretty comfortable. I like them.

Purchased for a BF. We both love them. Very good looking shoes. Ordered regular size and half size smaller. The latter fit.

These shoes are so comfortable and such a good fit that my feet became quite happy after I put them on. Wow!

Extremely pleased with the shoe, perfect dress shoe. I owned a pair of brown and then ordered a pair of black because I liked the style and comfort of these shoes so much.

I had to buy a half size smaller and 4E width to get a correct fit. Insole comfortable, requires significant breaking in (wear bandaids on the heel). Very good looking shoe.

Excellent shoe. I wear a 15 and this shoe was extremely tight when I bought it. Length wise, it's perfect. Just on the top of the foot and on the heel. After about a week of wear, these are the best dress shoe I've ever owned. Get yourself a shoe horn, but overall an excellent shoe.

Wow, these shoes are nice. My foot felt warmly cradled and supported from all sides. I was concerned that the back of the heel might give me a blister but after lacing them tightly I decided that wouldn't be a problem. They look good and feel good.

The manufacturer recommends sizing a half size up. Since my son was just about out of an 11 and into an 11 1/2 I got the 12 based on the recommendation. That recommendation was unwarranted. This size 12 swam on my son's feet. We therefore then had to order his usual size and the other just in case. He ended up wearing the 11. This shoe does NOT need to be sized up a half size; if anything perhaps down size or at least if you are in between consider the smaller sizes before going up. Wasn't happy to have to order three pairs of 110 dollar shoes before I got it right because I trusted the recommendation. I think it's misleading.

Very comfortable and durable shoe. The rubber sole adds significant wearing life, but still looks classy enough.

Very nice shoe; I'm likely going to get the same in black. I wish it were a little wider. If this is a EE, I cant imagine how narrow the D size is. That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars and not five.

These are great office shoes! There was a brief break in period at first since the leather is a little stiff, but they become very comfy.

Great shoe, extremely comfortable...and shipping with Zappos was very fast. The shoe for me ran about a half size big but I also have narrow feet, so keep that in mind. Also the shoes is a little more of a light brown than the orange color in the picture. Overall though I would definitely recommend the shoe to anyone.

Sharp shoe but still runs small and tight at the size 13-14 level. My husband normally wears 13 in dress shoes and 14 in athletics, but even the 14's in this shoe are much too tight. So sad!

These shoes look great and feel very comfortable. The extra toe length makes walking feel a tiny bit different from more normal length shoes, but that is a small thing.

I purchased the same pair of shoes in Brown about 3 years ago. I can say they are unequivocally the best pair of shoes I have ever worn. Comfortable for hours, look great, plenty of support. So when it came time for me to purchase a new pair of black shoes it was a no brainer. I'm not sure if they have moved their manufacturing operation elsewhere or if the general quality has been compromised, but I am slightly disappointed. The feel is not the same, the support is not as comfortable, and the sizing is at least a half size larger, possibly more, than my older pair. Still look great, though, so I respect them enough to give it a overall 4. However, if you have purchased the same or similar pair in the past, you may find a similar experience awaiting you.

My husband chose this style for a more updated look. He always buys Johnston & Murphy shoes because of the quality, fit and comfort, but these shoes were not as comfortable as his "old standard" styles. He had to come home from work the first day he wore them to put band-aids on his heels for the blisters. According to him, there is some kind of bump inside the shoe that rubs the back of his heels. He has never experienced this before with a J&M shoe. I bought him some gel blister pads to wear with them so they don't rub, and I may take them to a shoe hospital to see if the bump can be smoothed down. Not a "smooth move" for Johnston & Murphy.

First off, I'll say that I love the style of these shoes. They go great with my business casual outfits and work well with a suit. My only issue with the shoes is that they feel a little small to me. I pretty much wear a 10 in everything and these felt a little tight - like my feet don't have enough breathing room. But over time they have stretched out a bit. Very stylish, and very well-made shoes.

This style lends itself to people with long narrow feet. I do not have this kind of foot. The sides and back were super comfortable, if a bit tight, the toe was a good 3 inches longer than the end of my toe.

Overall the shoe seems to be built well, but the comfort level is sub-par. I considered returning them, but I'm hoping they break in quickly.
